Freedom Rings
The pure white mare loped into the Prairie. She was a member of the imfamous Horse Clan. They were lacking in members now. But anyway, Freedom Rings found a little spot next to a small tree and halted. Her dial bobbed up and down, then sideways, to observe it clearly. Hmm... Maybe one of the prickly branches could be put to use... "I wonder..." she murmered quietly to herself, thinking over how the thing could be used, and also admiring the beauty. She snorted, her breath coming out in puffs of steam. She disliked winter, but right now was the best time for the Clan to finish planning out their attack apon humans, and to discuss matters that would make big differences in how things worked out.
Nachi
The odd wolfess was definitely in a sore mood. Her nephew had died, right in front of her eyes, and there was nothing she could do about it. Now she was once again alone, with only her brother Cavan as a friend. Feeling like taking her anger out, Nachi stalked diliberately towards Freedom Rings. A snarl played on her light gray muzzle as her ears planed out to the sides. Her tail swished back and forth, in a very un-wolvish fasion.
Freedom Rings
Freedom Rings was about to break the branch off with a good whack of the hindhooves. But as she was about to turn, she heard a snarl close behind. Suddenly she struck out, giving a good, strong kick with her legs. Hoping she hit something, but it all depended on where Nachi had been standing. She then wheeled around and let out a peircing scream, rearing and thrashing wildly at the air. "Back, wolf! You killer thing!" she neighed out, landing with a loud but muffled THUD on the ground. She extended her neck out quickly and sent a few sharp snaps to the wolfess. She then began backing away, legs moving swiftly, auds laced to her skull in both anger and fright.
Nachi
Nachi shied back from the initial kick and went to snarling and making a wide circle around Freedom Rings. The wolfess sprang away from the nips as well, and offered fierce snaps back; although her teeth clamped only on air, for she dared not get close enough yet to touch the equine. "Look's like someone is afriad?" Nachi hissed out, her tail still thrashing and making her look quite odd. "Yes, I smell the fear." She went on, dangerous orbs glinted at the mare. Then she made a mock rush, charging at Freedom Rings with a threatening snarl and gnashing her fangs. But before she would reach the horse, Nachi would back off again. She didn't want to make contact yet. She knew those hooves could easily cause her death.
Freedom Rings
Freedom Rings knew that one of her friends would come along sooner or later. That thought made her confident. She wasn't exactly scared, though, but simply had mixed feelings. Snorting, she lashed out once more, using her dull teeth again. SHe then backed away off to the side, to avoid the wolf's tease. She then reared again, knowing full well that she could bring this beast down. "Back off, mangy mutt!" she neighed out, auds laced back against her skull still. She then pounced forward, using her forelegs and aiming to stomp on the wolfess with her hooves, then she would pull away. She sped past Nachi then, going in the opposite direction at full speed. Then she circled around and began prancing, dial held high.
Nachi
Nachi scrambled back once more, snarling bitterly at her failure to scare the mare. It quickly became apparent to the wolf that she wasn't going to scare Freedom Rings easily, but her motivation still wasn't dampened. Keeping herself at a safe distance from the powerful equine, Nachi howled loudly, in a song of hunting. She wasn't sure whether it would frighten the horse any more or not, but she'd give it a try.
Freedom Rings
Freedom Rings snorted and grew alarmed at the howl. Hunting! The worst word among most prey animals. She bobbed her dial and her eyes widened, in both anger and very light fright. Then, without thinking, she twisted her body around and began galloping off in the opposite direction of the wolf, not stopping or slowing. Maybe she could make an escape real quick. After all, if this wolf dared hurt her the whole Clan, or nearly all of it, would be after her in return. At least the studs would. She had dealt with animals like this before. She was extremely confident in her abilities, and the feeling only grew with each getaway.
Nachi
Nachi began to race after Freedom Rings, running as fast as her flying legs would take her. Her mouth hung open, taking in great drafts of air as she attempted to catch up with the equine. If she ever got close enough, Nachi would would spring and try to sink her teeth into the haunch of her prey.
