Pheral

The sow walked slowly into the prairie, blood trickling down her neck and shoulder where the flesh was laid open, thanks to a hungry orca. Tupit and his murder were fresh on her mind, but also she was wary of predators, who might find her even more attractive with the flesh blood dripping upon the ground. But her four tusks and several hundered pounds of mass and power made her feel better.

She began to root around, before finding the withered remains of Coriander and Endive. She munched slowly on the plants, then looked to see if Nachi had followed.

Nachi

Nachi came staggering in after Pheral, not even noticing the pain in her gut where the sow's tusks and gouged into her flesh. Blood dripped steadily from her wounds as well, but that's not what made the wolfess so bleak and distraught. Her eyes were like empty shells, staring vaguel in head of her while her mind was elsewhere. She simply couldn't get the image of her dying, struggling nephew out of her mind.

Nachi stopped beside Pheral, then suddenly threw her head back and howled a wretched, sobbing cry that told the world of her misery.

Pheral

Pheral stopped eating and looked to Nachi. A throng of emotional pain hit her stomach and she dipped her head down. She hadn't known Tupit all that well, but felt horrible at his death, and the sorrow which Nachi held. Even more so, Pheral was afraid of the retaliation that Ghost might befell on her, although Pheral could do nothing to save the young wolf. Rooting up some of the coriander, she dropped it in front of Nachi, "Chew up some of those leaves. It will be good for you."

Pheral snooped about some more before finding another withered group of plants. Dewcups. Gathering a pile of them together, she stamped them up in the snow until she had, more or less, a mushy paste. She got a heap of it on her flat nose and walked towards Nachi, then carefully spread the mash over her wounds, to help them heal. Then she went to the pile of mashed dewcup and wallowed in it, getting her wounded neck and shoulder covered in the mess.

Hidden Betrayal

She had heard the cry and came at a race her legs carrying her farther then they had a few short months ago. She came to Nachi and Pheral. "Wheres Tupit?" She saw the blood and tears formed in her eyes "WHERES TUPIT!?" She screamed. Her eyes faded for a moment taking on the haunted look that they had held for so long. Tupit had made it go away for awhile but now he was gone to. She turned and ran as fast as she could as far as she could uncertain of where she was going. She thought that maybe if she could run fast enough his death wouldnt follow her.

Pheral

She turned to Hidden, a look of relief at first, but then sorrow. "Nachi..." The sow trailed off, "Maybe I can relay the news to your brother... and.." She swallowed hard, thinking of the pack that would probably tear her to shreds if they heard the news from her. Shaking her head, Pheral went on, "I must console Hidden. Come with me if you need." Her words were soft, and after a moment, she followed after the other wolfess.
