Cries from a human baby echoes around the lands. All the naimals had been chased away by a truck that had driven by earlier. The humans driving it had thrown a baby out the window. It seemed to be a young girl around the age that in a few weeks she could be weaned. But for now, she needed milk to survive. Her eyes were strange, One was a deep blue that seemed to put someone in a trance. The other one seemed to be colorless. But it wasn't blind. She had pale platinum blonde hair for now. It could change as she grew older. She seemed to have just been left for dead.

Two teens weren't far off but they hadn't yet heard the cried since they had headphones on. They were busy listening to their new cds. They had gone off for a walk since their dads were off hunting. They were getting closer to the baby though. These two seemed to be the type that would hurt the poor thing if they got annoyed, also they would hurt a wolf, maybe try to kill it.

.the ivory lupine silently moved through the long grasses of the prairie, camoflauged by her light coat she had worked so hard to clean after her last 'encounter' with humans... he he. she walked with a slight limb, the result of another, completely different human encounter. my my. but wait, what was that noise? the she-wolf lifted her head slightly, green eyes sweeping over the terrain, seeking out the noisemaker. it wasn't like a wolf pup's cries, but she could tell it was a young creature... of some sort. finally pinpointing its location she set forward, slowly, cautiously, for one never knows when mama is about. yet as she came upon it she stopped, suprised. it was a human baby! a strange one at that... but definitely female. the lupine padded closer slightly, wondering where the babe's mother was, for it seemed hungry. yet there were no humans in sight *yet*, so she came even closer. oh, please, make it stop crying. yet, even though a wicked part of her told her to kill the child and be done with it, another told her take care of it. but a wolf with a human child? unthinkable! but yet... the wolfess licked the little human's waving fist tentatively, as though trying to reassure herself as well as the child. what should she do with it? it was good she wasn't in a pack, but it also could be more dangerous. licking the baby's cheek softly, she curled up and lay beside the bundle, trying to think out what to do, ready to leap into action should anything threaten her and the babe...

Her eyes caught sight of the wolf and she instantly shut up. What creature was this. It didn't look like anything she had seen before, except for the dog she had seen awhile back before she found herself here. She stared straight into the wolf's eyes and let out a smile and a gargle.

The two teens caught sight of the wolf. THey didn't hear the babies cries but she smirked. Torturing wolves was always fun. One grabbed a stick off the ground. He grabbed it tightly so he wouldn't drop it and began to inch closer to the wolf as siletnly as he could. The other hung back just in case.

.at the little human's sounds the lupine looked at her carefully, green eyes studying the child. what would she do with it now? raise it? hah... hmm. suddenly the sound of movement nearby broke into her thoughts, and the ivory wench stood quickly, standing beside the baby. oh boy, what is it... crap. at the sight of the humans, the lupine glanced at the gurgling child, then back at the teen. pulling back her upper lip in a wicked snarl, she snapped at them, warning them away... she would keep this child.

*teens*baby*

The teen smirked and stepped even closer, he didn't know the danger that he was facing. He got close enough that the stick could reach and he began to poke at the side of the wolf with the sticks sharp side.

Hearingthe snarl the baby got quiet and watched from her spot on the ground. She had no clue what was going on.

glad for the babe's silence, the ivory lupine moved sideways, feeling the sharp jab of the stick the boy held. suddenly she leapt at him, jaws open, ready to snap his little neck... but she was also ready to twist away, should he gather his wits enough to swing at her with the stick...

Suprised by her attack he went down and the force of the fall with the jaws around his neck snapped the bone easily. The other teen watched in fear and finally brought up his courage and ran for the wolf with his bare fists.

as the human in her jaws fell limp, the lupine stepped off him quickly, just in time to see the second human coming at her, fists ready. the first swing caught her in the side, knocking her sideways, yet she spun about on nimble legs, not wanting to let it near the baby. snarling, she leapt at him, jaws again opened, ready to rid the world of one more pest...

*teen*baby*

As she came back at him he aimed a punch towards her open jaws. This would most likely cause him more pain then her for it was a quik punch, instead his arm got stuck in the she-wolfs jaws. He let out a scream of terror, hoping his parents would hear him.

the ivory lupine felt the boy's fist wedged in her jaws, and panic seized her for a moment. she leapt backwards, thrashing her head, hopefully freeing his hand, allowing her jaw to close. backing away, she stood for a moment, then leapt at him once again, hoping to silence his shrieks... stupid humans!

The teen had began to back away from the wolfess and when she lept for him he shrieked and fell to the ground. The wind was knocked out of him and gave her enough time to land on him and grab his neck for the kill.

as the human shrieked and fell the ivory lupine remained where she was, paws braced on his chest. snarling, she finished the job, silencing his horrendous shrieks. stepping back, she glanced at the child again. now what? hopefully no other humans had heard the teens... glancing about, she gently picked the baby up, holding a bit of the rag in her mouth, and slowly headed towards breve ridges, where a friend of her lived...
