King of the Wind
King of the Wind trotted peacefully around. His nostrils flared as he looked. This land was beautiful, but the only problems were about humans. He could easily outrun any animals, and he could go so fast that he could gallop from five to seven miles and maybe a half in one hour! That was how he got his name. Nobody could beat him at racing. He was also from the purest blood of Arabians. He quickly noted his close surroundings. Feeling irritated, he started stamping his hoof on the ground, writing his own signature. To humans he was known as 'Sham'. The great Sham.
He lowered his large head to the ground and plowed up some grass using his mouth. He chewed eagerly. He wanted to see someone, anyone... He would prefer another horse maybe? Another human to watch and seek? He didn't care. He wanted somebody around for now.
Antiara
Antiara was still searching for humans, she had not found any in down town so she decided to try her luck here, at the Tall grass prairie. She spotted an animal, it didn´t look like she imagined a human, this one was one four legs so it couldn´t be a human. It looked almost like a cow, but slender. She approached, not really intending to hunt the creature, only wanting to know what it was. The small gray/white arctic wolf walked closer, "What are you?" she asked thething, feeling more like a pup than a wolf, but she needed to know.
King of the Wind
King of the Wind turned abruptly at the scent of the wolf. He had a hard spot for wolves and other preditors alike. Unlike most animals, he wasn't fascinated by wolves, nor anything else. He stamped his hoof hard on the ground, leaving another signature beside the last. "I am a horse. In fact, an Arabian horse. My name is King of the Wind. Known to humans as Sham." He looked around for others. No humans, nor anything else but the swaying grass and few trees. He lashed his tail at a biting horsefly and bit where it had landed, reaching his long neck back and striking the spot on his withers. He turned his large head back to her, some grass blades still sticking out of his mouth.
Psyche*Al Sheratan
Two mares each contrasting from one another in many ways came towards the two.
The short white mare, a little egyptian arabian, Smiled at the wolf. She enjoyed wolves and dogs in fact she ahd many who were wolves. She nodded towards Sham not really showing any interest in the larger stallion.
The other female was a tall Hispano Arabe. She arched her neck in the arabian manner but moved like her andalusian ancestors. She was coal black in color and was defiant over everything. She was also in season. Not the best time to be around a stallion but.....She didnt care right now. She was to excited. Or hyper. Which ever you prefered. She wanted to run and Al Sheratan wouldnt run because she knew the Psyche could beat her. "Hello" she said to both Sham and the wolf
King of the Wind
King of the Wind turned abruptly at the sound of other hooves. He was rather surprised. He stood still. When he seen they didn't appear threatening, he lowered his front half and bowed to the two. He had learned to respect those he met that were other horses when he was a small foal. Now, he was the fastest horse around! He could beat any animal, maybe even a cheetah if he set his mind on it. "Lo." he said to the mares with some joy. There were actually others of his kind that were around and came to him. He didn't mind. It was only natural that an animal would enjoy their own species around for a while. Unlike before, he had gotten rather hyper too over the years, but never did he show it. He lashed his tail at some wierd bug flying around him and sent it flying into the grass, making the blades sway. He studied each mare, then he stepped forward one time. "I am King of the Wind, known to the humans as Sham." He didn't mind his nickname from the humans. In fact, he kinda liked it. having two names. Who would ever think? He patiently waited for words.
Antiara
A horse? Is that food or not? Antiara didn´t have much time to think about it until two more came over, one of them smiling towards her. "So you are not food, like cows?" she asked, knowing she was in a bad situation, after all three horses against a wolf! She could die! But the curiosity had taken over.
Shadow
:: They are indeed food. Don't let the stupid equine fool you. ::
The black fem told her walking up.
:: For ages our kin have hunted theirs. ::
Psyche
Psyche pinned her thorns and reared at Shadow. "I know many that do not hunt us. And for good reason. Some of us are much to dangerous to come near. And others are protected by wolves." As if she had whispered a magic word a white wolf came up behind Shadow. The white fae growled deep within her chest her yellow eyes haunted but angry. This fae was Aaka, the alpha female of the Silver Glades. "Shadows dont need to bring down Equines. Especially these ones. I dont care what others you go and hunt. These three are off limits. IF you dont like it well thats your problem not mine.
Aaka was dead serious. Literally. When Aaka was mad stay outof the way. If she was happy....Get even farther out of the way.
"Aaka. Calm down my friend." Al Sheratan said softly. She was the quietest out of the bunch and wasnt very happy about being here.
Shadow
The coal fem smirked. How amusing. She approached The white lupine.
:: I fear nothing, no one - not even you. I myself, can hide in the shadows both summer and winter. You can only hide in the winter, which makes you quite vulnerable to hunters who fancy white coats. But perhaps not yours, as it looks quite tangled. ::
Xanabar
XANABAR
Ziyadah
+WILD AND UNTAMABLE+
superb in speed
what was Al Sheratan up to? Ziyadah, the great black stallion, had steathily followed the little mare. he was to make sure she got herself into no trouble. Ziyadah's canvas - black as ebony - glistened, despite the battle scars. the scars betrayed the fact - that otherwise would have been hidden - that Ziyadah was an experienced battle veteran. Ziyadah halted far behind the other horses - all whom were smaller than him. he eyed the stallion. obviously pure Arabian. Ziyadah didn't care if he got into a fight. if he had to run, he would run - he had not only sturdy legs, but a huge heart (literally) that gave him stamina. and he was extremely tall, and his croup was higher than his withers, giving him tremendous speed. no horse could beat him. it was simply impossible. Ziyadah watched calmly as everything happened - the horses chatting, the wolves showing up... it was regular to see in his life. as the black wolfess spoke up, Ziyadah made his move. "but why hide when you 'fear nothing?' why hide when you can fight?" Ziyadah's tone was slightly mocking as he busted into the vocal battle. he didn't need to hide, for he could fight off anything. nothing scared Ziyadah. the massive stallion halted beside Al Sheratan. he flashed a grin, meant for her and Aaka. "miss me?"
Shadow
:: Equines, so foolish and dumb.::
She laughed.
:: Never seen a horse as tall, or as stupid as you yet! You look Arab - did your owners cast you away because you werent fit for ... Anything? And besides that, i never said I did hide now, did I, foolish one?::
Xanabar
Ziyadah didn't Ziyadah didn't recoil at Shadow's insults because they meant nothing to him. she knew nothing of him; and she never would. "how would you know of my intelligence? I've only been here for two minutes, and said just a few sentences. I've never had any 'owners.' The idiots who thought they ruled over me killed my mother when I was only a day old. then they grabbed me from the wild. they didn't cast me off... I cast them off. they were dumb enough to try to tame me. and I left." Ziyadah paused. "Arab? and you call me foolish. No pure Arabs get this tall." again, the stallion paused to take a breath. "oh, but did I ever say you hide, either? nope. I asked a question." Ziyadah smirked. he didn't care what a foolish wolfess - a wolf who had no idea what she was talking about, because she had no idea who he was - said about it. and if she tried to touch him harmfully, Ziyadah could easily raised his body and crush her.
Shadow
:: Your'e and equine, of course your an idiot. ::
She spoke bluntly.
:: Your ancestors were eaten by dinosaurs, cavemen tamed you, and in places, your kin are even spooked by a helicopter, and people on horses. And the horses being ridden aren't smart enough to dump their riders and run off with the wilds. See, horses are stupid.::
Xanabar
"my ancestors were the size of a fox. the ones tamed by cavemen were not me; the ones spooked by helicopters are not me; the ones being ridden are not me. and many horses here are smart enough to be free and wild. you don't know every horse in the world. you don't know that all of them are smart or dumb or funny or weird. you probably only the teeniest fraction of the horses in the world." Ziyadah watched the wolfess. a bored sigh escaped his nostrils, and his flicked his tail. "why can't we all just get along?" a joke, of course. Ziyadah's voice was mocking once more. "your kind also runs from helicopters. cavemen also runs from helicopters. cavemen also tamed your kind. ancestors of you were most likely eaten by dinosaurs. your kind is too weak to carry a human for a second. your heads are tiny, which gives little room for a brain."
Aaka*Psyche*Al Sheratan
Psyche had made sure to keep silent while the stallion talked to the wolfess. She got a grin upon her maw and began to 'dance' like the andalusian in her did. She danced around all of them until she was behind shadow. She began to trot in place and said in a smooth voice "At least are kind is hunted. At least are kind isnt known as a menace. We are at least useful." she hissed as Aaka nipped at her heels.
"Im a Wolf you know!" she said harshly. She to had remained silent for awhile as it was. She trotted around so that she was near Ziyadah. SHe knew the stalion wouldnt hurt her. She growled low at the other wolfess and was about to attack when a voice stopped her.
"Aaka dont. She hasnt done much. Words dont cause as much pain as....other things" Al Sheratan came to the other side of Ziyadah. She nudged him gently and said in her soft desert voice "I did miss you. I think I will come home soon." The little white mare was a lot shorted than Ziyadah. In a joking voice she said "You need to grow shorter. I felt short before now I feel minescule." She reared up slightly making her a bit taller. She smiled and said "I dont know how long I can hold this but at least im tall" She saw Psyche and said "Ziyadah this is my friend Psyche. Shes not wild but shes not tame either." Psyche glared at Shadow daring her to say something about it. IT was true she did belong to a human....But the human was more of a friend then an owner
Shadow
She laughed at Psyche.
"" Your kind are known as manaces, those stupid stallions prance around and claim stupid mares that die a year after theyve left, know your facts.""
