Moonshadow

Moonshadow lies in the grass, head tilted slightly to one side as she curiously watched the badgers. She stays quiet, tail wagging slightly to show she means no harm.

*Badgers*

The lead male looks up at you startled, and the whole family halts after him. His keen nose twitches to pick up your scent, and he watches you carefully. The rest of the family begins to retreat, but the male stays where he is.

Moonshadow

"Hi. It's okay, I won't hurt you." She smiles, tail wagging. She takes in his scent, watching him curiously.

*Badgers*

The other badgers stop their retreat, watching you wearily. The lead male takes a step closer, "Hello." he replies timidly. "You're one of the first wolves I've ever seen. You're not going to attack me, are you?"

Moonshadow

"No, I won't attack you. Are you hungry?" She tilts her head to one side, curious.

*Badgers*

He nods hesitantly, "Yes, we are very hungry. The fire has destroyed most of our food in our territory. There is hardly enough to feed my clan." the other inch closer to you, but are still very timid.

Moonshadow

"What do you eat? I could help you find some food!" The female smiles, tail wagging.

*Badgers*

"Well..." the male replies, still timid and weary, yet friendly, "... we were really hungry for some fruits, or possibly some plant roots." The others come even closer, sniffing the air curiously still.

"Would you do that for us? That would be so kind, and we will surely repay you for it."

Moonshadow

"Sure! Let me call Pirqua.." Moonshadow tilts her head back, muzzle pointing towards the sky, and howls loudly for Pirqua to come.

Pirqua

The falcon soon appears after hearing Moonshadow's howl. She looks down at the badgers with curiosity, then glides down and lands beside her friend. She had never seen badgers before.

Moonshadow

Moonshadow smiles at her friend.
"Hello, Pirqua! I would like to ask a favor. These friendly creatures are hungry, so would you please fly around and tell us if and where you saw some fruits or plant roots?"

Pirqua

"Sure thing! I'll be right back then!" Pirqua replies and takes to the sky. She locates an area where many bushes of Rose Hip plants were growing. They were full of delicious red fruits. It was harder to find the roots, but Pirqua eventually found them nearby in a shallow ravine where the water had washed away the soil and exposed dozens of roots from grassy plants.

She glides back down to Moonshadow, "There are some red looking fruits over that way," she indicates by pointing her beak to the left, where many plants can be seen in the distance with red fruits on them. "And near that there is a ravine with many roots along the sides of it."

Moonshadow

Moonshadow smiles.
"Thanks Pirqua! C'mon, let's go!" Moonshadow says, speaking to the badgers and Pirqua. She wags her tail and slowly walks towards the area Pirqua had pointed to.

*Badgers*

They follow Moonshadow, since their eyesight isn't very good. When they reach the area, half of the badgers go to the fruit and begin to eat them, and the other half go to the roots to feed. But the lead male ambles over to you, "We are so grateful to you two! Is there anything we can help you with? Or maybe you will need us in the future? You can always come back here to ask for help."

Moonshadow

Moonshadow thinks for a moment.
"Nothing at the moment. I'll come to you if I need you, and if you ever need a place to stay, you can come to my pack's lands."

*Badgers*

"That is very kind of you!" he says again, "If our den sites are ever disturbed enough, it will be very helpful that we could move to your terra." The badger then turns back and continues to feed on the bright red fruits on the bushes.
