Sweetclover & Others

Sweetclover's white paws were a dirty brown before long, splattered and stained by the mucky ground they traveled into. It had been a while since she'd traveled to the Scar, and after traveling a short distance into the festering, fungus consumed landscape, she remembered why she'd stayed away from it for so long. The place was eerie and uninviting. The way most of the trees stood leaflees and blighted, the heavy haze that hung in the air, the startling silence and lack of any breeze... this place was Death. And yet, it was also where pregnant hinds and moose cows came to take shelter for the blowing winds and snow that often plagued the Valley's early spring season.

"...what do you think it was about?" Rather than paying attention to his surroundings, Drake had hung back with Phelan, finding his uncle better company than his sister and brother right now. Phelan briefly shook his ebony head and whispered back, "I'm honestly not sure. I didn't really catch what they were saying. You might talk to them after the hunt though, once everyone is fed and relaxing." That was Phelan's attempt to nudge his nephew's attention back on the hunt, and away from gossiping about Kirk and Esme.

Kirk

Kirk followed along. He stopped before getting to the landscape on the edge of it. He smiled. This place was home to him. He walked along behind sweetclover, easily keeping up with being raised in this kind of landscape. Before long his paws were muccy but you could hardly tell with his dark brown fur. His ears went back when Drake and Phealan talked. He herd and chuckled a little. He turned to Sweetclover and waited for her and Tayna to give out orders.
