Silver Fyre
Silver Fyre's dark limbs appeared even darker as they soaked up the water of the boggy land. Droplets cascaded from her belly and chest after she crossed through a boggy stretch of the Scar, but the wetness hardly bothered the ruddy-eyed hybrid. She stopped, tongue lolling from her mouth, and took a long moment to inspect the area around her. Various shades of green were sprouting around her in the form of mosses and lichens on the dead trees, as well as from whatever plant life could eek out a living in this seemingly desolate wasteland.
All around her, in the stillness of a near windless-afternoon, Silver Fyre could hear the rustling of small critters in and under the dead leaves. Bugs, rodents, newly-awakened reptiles and amphibians, all creatures that would make good meals for a hungry skunk or two. Just the thing that Silver and her companions were looking for.
"This seems a good of a place as any." The Haunter announced, "Anyone catch scent of our quarry yet?"
Lupanare & Cedarwood
Long legs made traveling through the mire easier on Lupanare, though she did detest the stains of gray and brown on her sleek, pastel-hued limbs. A few cockleburs snagged into her coat were of further annoyance to the wolfdog, but she endured it without complaint, just as she endured the talons of Cedarwood clutching against her dense pelt as he road atop her back. "Nothing yet, but this looks like a prime place to find some." The wolfess took a few long strides away from Silver Fyre, carefully climbing astride a recently fallen tree. The trunk angled up and away from the ground towards the end, its branches plunged into the earth to keep it at its precarious angle, allowing Lupa a near fifteen-foot perch to scout from once she reached the top of it.
Cedarwood continued to ride on the other's back, flexing his wings now and then to adjust his balance as lupine steed traveled through the marshy terrain. "Seen a few squirrels, but no striped creatures." The eagle announced, his sleek, chocolately head bobbing and twisting this way and that. Of course, it wasn't just a skunk Cedar was looking for; he had his eyes peeled for anything shiny or unique that he could gift to Tracey.
Quilikham
Quili was up to her belly in water at times, her little legs pumping to keep up with her much larger companions. The muck didn't bother her though, and she offered no complaints as Silver Fyre led them onward, deeper into the rotting Scar. When the small group came to a stop to gather themselves, Quilikahm trotted past towards the base of the fallen tree where Lupanare was climbing.
"You might catch a sight of one from up there, but you'll have better odds using your nose. And checking fallen trees for burrows and digs." She announced, and did just that. Little black nose twitching, the muntjac scoured the base of the fallen trunk and its exposed roots, looking for any signs of recent skunk activity.
