Aava & Esprit
The two lone faes wandered down through a narrow backway, one looking quite down and broken, and the other looking fairly nice, especially compared to the other.
Aava, the one who wasn't in such great condition, was moving slowly. Her ribs were showing well enough through her pelt to give away the starving appearance. She was becoming malnurished at this point, with having herself being overall too weak to fight at the moment. Ever since finding out that not only was her first ever mate dead, but her other daughter had been killed by some unknown bunch of canines. Little did she know, the humans had been in on the second killing.
The yellow-tinted white wolfess soon stopped, feeling her strength slowly wear off from the long trek here.
"Come on, we have to get some food." Esprit stated, giving her mother a light nuzzle. It was best to not come around Aava too much right now, since even Esprit herself had been attacked a few times already since her mother's desperate health drop.
Aava silently gave her head a jerk, away from Esprit's nuzzle. She then growled to herself, feeling a new sense of anger set in before she finally fell down on her side. Back before, she had once been a strong, respected alpha. That was when everything was fine, completely perfect. Until her mate had gone off, unknowingly, and she never seen him again. She still wanted her revenge. Yes, she'de get it in time. They wouldn't go unpunished. Aava's temper was incredibly sky rocketed nowadays, and she seemed so far away and "out there" at times. Esprit had no clue why, either. She figured that she just needed some rest, and some nutritious food.
Esprit looked behind her as Aava dropped onto her side, and she turned, eyes taking everything in. The white alphess' stength was wearing thin now, so maybe she'de just go out and get something and bring it back. She could see a trashcan just up ahead, so it shouldn't take too long. A wolf in Aava's condition wasn't one to leave alone for long. Or so Esprit got that idea. But then again, maybe she should be left alone, to regain her proper feelings. Everything was just messed up now when it came to her.
Esprit was in her own condition, besides having some of her ribs show through her rather thin coat of fur. Her legs had become very strong and firm from all the walking and moving she had been doing, plus the time helping her mother walk. Esprit herself was beginning to take on a certain fright of Aava, for unknown reasons. Just something about her... It sent a chill down the younger fae's spine.
