Pulse

With a blackened coat and relatively small build, the young buck was right at home moving through the dark shadows of the bog. The bright snow hampered his efforts a little, of course, but the damp bark of the trees provided just enough contrast to help the little hybrid blend in... or, at least not stick out like a sore thumb, as he would out in the prairie, or marsh.

Stepping carefully over the ice, Pulse minded his footing as he crossed the frozen waters, heading for a patch of dormant hawthorns on the other side.

Ulayha

Ulayha had just turned three years old today and decided to go wonder. Ulayha was wondering rather aimlessly but then saw a deer and came to a halt. She never seen one before. She lowered her dial and sniffed the air.So she was a rare brindle color so what? He was a bit hard to tell though it being winter she was darker in colorl.

Pulse

Radar-like ears flickered towards the sound of dense hooves on the solid ground, stopping Pulse in his tracks as he raised his muzzle and looked in the direction the noise was coming from. Generally speaking, hearing hoof-steps wasn't a bad thing; fellow equines weren't often hostile with him or his kin, unless they happened to be carrying a human on their back. But a quick look from his bright eyes showed there was nothing to fear - this young mare was by herself, no two-leggers in sight.

"Are you lost?" Taking note of her unusual coloring, the little stag trotted forward across the ice, instantly striking up a well-meaning inquiry to Ulayha.

Ulayha

She looked at the deer. This was a new animal indeed to her. Was he friendly? He had hooves so she knew he was a herbiovore but what was he? Her mind tryed to rake through what her mother taught her but she couldn't place him. Then he was coming forward toward her and she took a worried step back. No, Just wondering, Who are you? What are you?She spoke quietly.
