Rosco; Tyree; Kazbek
The hybrid deer led his group back to his birthplace. He remembered it clearly. His mother and father were there, Legend was there, and Chido and Sassy were there. "This is it." He said with a deep breath of the fresh, spring air. "Be careful for the muddy spots, though. If you get stuck in the mud, it'll be hard to get out."
Tyree and Kazbek nodded, stepping around a patch of mud. "It's nice here." Tyree sighed.
Singed
The doe followed the prince and two does into the Bog, taking soft steps. Warily, she stopped, "This place seems so secluded..." Singed's words were soft and full of awe. The white-tailed deer's hooves sank into the mud, her little tail held high. Singed tossed her head, smiling at Rosco. "I love it..." The doe whispered, brown eyes blinking.
Blitz
Blitz followed the others quietly. He silently agreed with Rosco's words. He had seen a dead deer in a swamp once, covered in mud. The poor soul had most likely starved or thirsted to death, trapped in the mud.
As they stepped along through the bog, he could hear the swamp birds chirping, the bugs making their own noises, and the suck of the mud on the deers' hooves as they walked. It was still bright afternoon, but in the bog, it was darker and damp. The few bits of sunlight that could filter through the trees dappled their backs. It was all beautiful, in a rugged, wet, mucky sort of way.
