Sasha

Sasha strode along the shore of the bog, avoiding the muddier parts. Her ears swiveled at every little sound. After the attack on the Oak Prairie she wasn't going to take any chances. She soon stopped to graze on a patch of green grass.

WARDELL

The Fallow had followed after the doe, as though he were trailing her. He carried his head high, and took big steps. She was to have his fawn, after all. Or possibly even fawns. He was overjoyed at the thought, though it didn't show on the outside.
Soon enough, Sasha had stopped, and he emerged from the brush. Taking careful steps around the bog, crossing between trees and whatnot, he halted as well. There he stood, watching her silently. A protective gaze washed over her, whether she knew it or not. However, he didn't speak. If they were to talk, then he'de have her begin.

Sasha

Sasha lifted her head when she saw the male. She carefully examined him, then scanned around the bog to be sure that there was no danger. She felt like she had to be even more careful now that she was to have children. "Hello." She said sweetly, flicking an ear. "I thought this place seemed safer. It's secluded from the rest of the Valley." Her hunger kicked in again, and she instinctively lowered her head to graze. She was eating for three now.

Legend

With his father imprisoned, Legend took up the role of 'Lead', though there weren't many members of his herd that were left free.

The red deer, bearing the characteristic tineless antler beams of his father, had made it a mission of his to restore the herd and free his family. To do that, he had to round up as many followers he could. Having scoured the mountains, Legend turned his attention to the bottomlands and made his way for an old ally of his father's; Avalanche.

Before the young stag found the big bull, he came across two former herd members. Walking to within a few yards of the two, Legend dipped his antlered head briefly in greeting, "Sasha, Wardell, it's good to see you both are doing good." The young stag noted that the doe's abdomen looked quite swollen, and it was quite apparent to him why this was so. Not wanting to aggrivate Wardell, who he could only assume must be the father, Legend kept a respectful distance from the pair until they were comfortable with him.

Wardell

Wardell continuously scanned the bog with those keen eyes of his, seeing as how what Sasha just said seemed quite true. It was awfully quiet here. The perfect place.
He gave the swollen doe a nod, quite happy that there would soon be a fawn running around. Little did he know, they were to have a couple instead, but judging by the look of Sasha frame, he couldn't be too sure of himself.
Just then, another deer, a stag, appeared. At this, Wardell dropped his head in warning, waving those antlers toward the younger creature. But then, hearing the voice, he calmed down and offered a quick grin, remembering who this stag was. "Legend?" he quickly asked, and then he knew it was exactly who he thought. "Same to you," he began, lifting his head and giving a nod, "Where have you been all this time?" He hadn't known Legend for long, but he couldn't indeed feel comfortable around him enough.

Sasha

Sasha was once again disturbed from her meal when she heard another voice. It didn't bother her, really. She liked the feeling of being in a herd. What kind of doe didn't? "It's good to see you too, Legend." She said to the deer. She had been one of those lucky enough to have escaped. She did not participate in the war. She fled, and was thus left alone. But safety could only last a short time, and Sasha was prepared for anything.

Sassy and chido

Sister and brother White tailed deer fawns only a bout a couple days old stumbled into the bog and right where the others are. Both froze and just stared at the larger deer. We're sorrythe female whimpered.

Sasha

Sasha looked down at the fawns as if they were her own. Her maternal instincts kicked in and she spoke up. "Hello, children." She said softly. "Have you a mother, or a place to stay?" Her voice was soft and sweet. She couldn't just leave these fawns out for the wolves.

Sassy and Chido

The female deer looked at the doe who appeared to be pregnant. No ms are mother was shot by humans when we were only two days old which was only two days ago msShe said softly.

her brother was making sucking motions. Both were starving for milk.

Sasha

Sasha sighed. "I wouldn't mind taking care of two more fawns, if you would like to stay with me." She said. She moved closer and offered to feed them.

Sassy & Chido

Sassy nodded lightly and moved over to one side and immediatly began to nurse.Chido hesitated and then went to the other side to nurse.

Sasha

Sasha was quite pleased with her adopted children. Little did she know, she would not give birth to one fawn, but two. She would be taking care of four children all together. But she felt that it was her duty.

She gasped when she felt a pain in her abdomen. Gently nudging the two fawns away, she walked further into the forest. She soon had two more fawns by her side: a male and a female. The male, Rosco, stood up after a few failed attempts and began to drink his mother's milk.

Wardell & Fleat

Wardell watched the going ons with great interest, wondering why two fawns would suddenly stumble upon their little meeting. He then raised a brow as the conversation went on, hearing about their mother and all that other stuff. He had not a problem with Sasha taking in a couple fawns, or any at all, for that matter.
With a deep sigh, he thought about fawns, their fawns. And it seemed that just as he began thinking, Sasha gave the gasp. At this, his auds flickered forward and he watched her, ready to come to her aid just in case. He understood her when she left the location, and waited there with a beating heart. Excitement and adrenaline shot through him, stunning his nerves.

Fleat, lying there at first light, took a moment until she attempted standing. Her long spindly limbs, clumsy but cute, caused her to stumble at first try, but she quickly regained herself and tried again. After just a couple more tries, she was balancing upon her tiny hooves. Turning to her mother, she licked at her baby lips, as if tasting the air, and slowly but surely made her way to her mother's other side. Once there, she began to nurse eagerly, finding the milk quite appealing to her hungry youthful stomach.

Sassy and Chido

Having finished he fill by the time the mother pushed her away she layed down to sleep.Head on her little front legs.

Chido sat beside his sister his head at he butt. He layed his head down as well and began to sleep.

Legend

Once Wardell recognized him and relaxed his stance, Legend moved in a little closer, happy that his friends welcomed him so readily. "I have been up in the Croals mostly. There is a pack there that is opposing the pack that took our herd." The young stag lowered his head, "My mother, a few hinds, and some yearling stags managed to escape, but most of the herd has been taken." Legend was about to go on, but two new fawns had suddenly blundered upon the scene.

Not sure how to act around the little ones, Legend remained silent while Sasha contended with the duo. And no sooner had she done that than her own little ones started to make a fuss. When she took into the thick brush, Legend figured out pretty quick what must be going on, and so he remained back with Wardell.

Straining his senses to keep alert for predators, the red deer turned his attention back to the fallow, "If you're interested, I've found land where a new herd could form. Prairie Falls - it's owned by a tri-colored stallion by the name of Zaquaim, but he has agreed to allow a deer herd to graze directly with his own. We'd be obliged by his rules, but having such powerful herd members could only help us at a time like this." Legend paused, to give Warfell time to digest the information.
