Phelan
He didn't know quite how it had happened, but that really didn't matter right now. Still, Phelan wondered how he could be so stupid and neglective as to lose sight of Atticus. Without his large, fight-minded brother to watch over him, the runt Phelan was sure he wouldn't make it home.
By now, he had grown guant and shabby-furred. He didn't know how to properly hunt, and hadn't found much of anything to eat since the death of Laporta. Worse yet, he was utterly lost, no clue where he was or which way to go to get home. Although he was no pup, and indeed a growing adolescent, Phelan was far from his adult form. Truth was, he was small and weak right now.
Whimpering pitifully to himself, ears down, back arched, and tail tucked, the ragged adolescent krept through the boggy land. His coat was caked with mud and grime. The thick, unyeilding mire sapped his strength even more, and the gloom of the place did worse to his already low spirits. After a while, Phelan stopped and sank miserably down on a wide log, where he set up to howling.
Nachi
Her first two attempts with Sweetclover had failed, and she knew she couldn't try to lure the adolescent a third time. But here was one she hadn't worked on yet; so scared and frightened it seemed, he would be easy to take.
Following the sound of his voice, Nachi padded towards the beraggled adolescent with all the looks of concern and kindness, "You are one of Aaka's and Legosa's? Phelan, am I right?" This information she had gotten from her brother, though he didn't know what she was planning. "Little one, you are hungry! Come with me, and I will feed and protect you... from them..."
She drew closer to Phelan, detecting his weakness and preying on it like a hungry lion. Dipping her muzzle down, she licked him on the forhead, "Do not fear, you are safe with me."
Phelan
He looked to the she-wolf, being very naive about her intentions. He was easily fooled. "Y-yes." The adolescent said, his voice choked up a bit. Do not fear.... It sounded so reasuring, so nice. That's what he needed right now. And as much as he pined for his family and missed Laporta, food was second on his mind, for his own life would wither away without it. Standing up in a meek stance, he dropped his eyes, "I am very hunrgy..."
Nachi
Nachi's eyes softed and she nuzzled him to enforce his thoughts that she was a friend figure. "We will get you something to eat then. You can call me Nachi. And for safety reasons... you will be Drakar. I will explain everything later." The wolfess paused suddenly, her muzzle tilted to the wind as a scent came to her. "Before we eat... there is one thing you must do for me. It will be fun, I promise." Nachi said quickly, nudging him in encouragement. "Come, child." Sly and cunning, Nachi headed for Pikes Lake.
