Legosa, Atticus, & Sweetclover

Legosa led two of his seven pups into the boggy area, where the water was all but frozen over this time of year. Behind him, Atticus and Sweetclover had a wonderful time of it. Every other step it seemed that they were slipping and falling on the ice, but it was all great fun for them. Legosa was much more skilled and experienced with the ice, though he too slipped now and then one the glassy serface. Putting up with their insistant giggles and laughs, the hybrid came to a stop near a large juniper tree.

"I've got to find a fellow named Jais. From what I know, he's a mush." Legosa began to explained, calling the wolf a 'mush', as his own term for a goody-two-shoes wolf. "You two begin to howl as loud as you can, calling his name. If he doesn't hear you from here, we'll try somewhere else." Legosa quickly sprinted away, hiding himself amongst a bunch of snow-covered bushes, where his white pelt blended in wonderfully.

Atticus looked to his sister with a devilish smile on his bloodied muzzle. Then they both began to howl and yap their hearts out, calling for this Jais with all they had. They didn't know why they were calling for him, but if it pleased their father, they'd do it.

Aaka

The mother of the two pups watched for a time before creeping around to Legosa her hackles raised eyes flashing. She had come back from the main packlands to find her children gone and had almost scared her to death. But now she waited with Legosa taking in calm deep breaths quietly. She had sent her other pups home after finding them with Cavan. He wasnt very high on her friends list at the moment but he would do. She layed down next to her mate watching her pups with bloodstains on their faces and smiled faintly. It was good that Legosa was teaching them quickly. They wouldnt be as sheltered later in life this way.

Legosa, Atticus, & Sweetclover

Legosa looked to Aaka and thumped his tail against the cold snow, sending up a little cloud of the cold crystals into the air. In his mind, he thought this was all perfectly good to do. He hadn't given a second thought about sending his pups with Cavan, although the average concerned parent would think twice about doing such a thing. If there was anything Legosa was ignorant about, it was taking care of pups.

"Nice to see you." He said with a smiling smirk, and giving Aaka a lick on her cheek. Ah, it was nice to be alone without the pack looking. He always hated that.

Atticus and Sweetclover kept up their howling, filling the air with their relentless cries. They still had no clue what they were doing, but so far, they had gotten praise from their father, and that was a good enough reason for them.

Jais

Jais had no idea who was calling his name, but he did know that they were pups. His heart instantly went out for them, as it did for anyone who seemed to be in trouble. And anyway, it momentarily drove away his sadness. He was taking Tri-Tundra's disappearance rather hard.

Sauntering towards the two pups, he cocked his head and spoke out, "Are you calling to me?"

Aaka

Softly she spoke to her mate "Who is he Legosa?" She didnt know the male but her eyes darkned as he neared her pups. She shifted her weight from one foot to another watching the three darkly ready to harm him if he dared touch her pups.

Legosa, Atticus, & Sweetclover

Legosa grinned devilishly as the wolf showed up. With his eyes locked on Jais, the hybrid spoke in a whispered tone, "He is a brother to Cavan. I've attacked him once before, along with that Nightcrawler fellow. You know him?" Legosa waited for Aaka's confirmation before he went ahead with the assasination.

Atticus and Sweetclover stopped their noises and looked curiously to Jais. Atticus knew something 'bad' was going to happen, but not exactly what that 'bad' thing was. He smirked up at the wolf. Sweetclover was more oblivious to the situation, but decided to sound smart by repeating what she heard her father say. Smiling up at Jais, she spoke, "You're gonna be finished."

Aaka

She groaned softly when Sweetclover said that Jais was going to be finished. "We need to teach her not to tell. I dont know Jais so he is no one to me but I do know Nightcrawler. Do you mind if I help?" Her eyes danced with the demons that lived inside her as she watched her two children with the grown wolf.

Sometimes We Lie Sometimes We Cheat Sometimes We Steal But We Can Never Be Beat

Jais

He was taken aback by her words and narrowed his eyes a bit in puzzlement, "Finished...?" Jais rumbled a bit, but he wasn't quite sure what to make of the comment. "Where are your parents? are you lost?" he asked next, casting a suspiscious look around.

Legosa, Atticus, & Sweetclover

Sweetclover's tail began to wag, "No, we're not lost!" She said, as thought it were something obvious. Atticus growled quietly and suddenly spoke in a dark tone, "My sister doesn't know what she's talking about. We haven't seen our parents for several hours..." Sweetclover looked with surprise at her brother, but he went on, "I last saw them over there..." And he pointed his muzzle in the opposite direction from where his parents actually were, hoping Jais would turn his back on his attackers, and make it any easier ambush. As he had sat their and thougt about it, he began to understand more of what was going to happen.

Legosa grinned wickedly to Aaka, "I'd love for you to join me." An ear swiveled back hear Sweetclover speak again, and he closed his eyes and shook his head. "Yeah, she needs to be taught." Quietly and slowly rising to his paws, Legosa listened to Attiucs try to cover up for his sister's mistakes. When the pup pointed away, Legosa sprung from cover. He charged swiftly over the ground and twisted to the side, ducking his head low. He tried to slam his shoulder directly into Jais's chest, to bowl him over and knock the wind out of him.

Aaka

Her attack was much more subtle. She came from her cover and trotted after Legosa being sure to go around him circling the two wolves silently. It was no secret that Aakas favored place was the shoulder for she was best at damaging all the muscles and breaking the bone. Seeing an oppurtunity she snarled and dived in for Jais's shoulder. Even if she missed that she would still get something for Jais would be busy with Legosa to notice her as much.

Jais

So caught up was he with the pups, that the wolf didn't notice his attackers before it was too late. Just lifting his head upon seeing a blur headed his way, Jais let out a yelp. He was hurtled off his feet, but scrambled quickly to try and bring himself up. His jaws went quickly for any part of Legosa that he could get. But at that time, something dreadful found its way to his shoulder, biting hard and digging in deep. Now his own jaws were set back to Aaka, going to slash for her muzzle and face.

Legosa, Atticus, & Sweetclover

Legosa turned his teeth for the other brute's front leg. He had broken it once before, and he aimed to do it again. A new thought had entered his mind now; one more sinister than a simple assasination. And one that might please Jais's brother even more. He would leave Jais alive, but not by much. Snarling joyously, the hybrid did his best to clamp onto the wolf's front limb and thrash it until it was good and broken.

Atticus and Sweetclover watched the procession, though Sweetclover seemed a bit uncertain. Atticus, on the other hand, held a great fascination as he watched the battle. The fur along his back stood up and he growled quietly, wishing he could join the fight.

Jais

Jais was too focused on his second attacker to pay enough heed to the first. It wasn't until those devilish jaws closed on his front limb that Jais realized his mistake; for the second time. With a yelp of pain, he felt the limb being broken, about where it had given way during the first time that Legosa had attacked him at the Ranch. The wolf's eyes flashed with the fear of death looming in his mind. Would it really end like this for him...? Jais howled out desperately, wishing that Dark Star and the others were still around, but he knew they weren't. Then an idea hit him; something he remembered his old pack talking about. "Spirit!" He cried out, looking briefly to Aaka, in between trying to fend Legosa off his leg, "Spirit, she is my friend! Isn't she yours, as well?" He was going way out on a limb here, for he couldn't recall if Spirit had been a friend of Aaka's or someone else... but he tried it anyway.

Aaka

She froze for a moment and shut her eyes and bit harder into Jais's shoulder. She pulled away from him her claws digging deep into the earth as she did but she let go. "She was a friend. Once. When I got rid of her alpha she got rid of me. I do not know where she is now. I do not care either" Her once lifeless eyes filled with joy as she thought of this wolfs death. Mentioning Spirit was not a good thing for Aaka had been friends with her once. And never again would Aaka make friends. She leaped back into the fray going for his shoulder again hoping for a better hold to break his shoulder.
