Lady

Lady looked at saudia "ok lets find somthing to eat." she said looking around her

Sauda

Sauda nodded silently, deep green orbs fixed on the terrain around her. The murky bog fit her coloring well, and she sank into the moss to become a mere shadow that passing animals would not notice. Keeping herself alert, she waited for some chance prey to wander by.

*Signs*

The scent of moose lingered strong on the air. A set of fresh tracks led away to the northeast, but the tracks were very large. They belong to a massive bull moose. A few hairs, scattered here and there from the large beast, were strikingly white.

On the wind, the scent of old blood hung faintly. This scent is being blow from the west.

Nearby, the carcass of beaver lay partially submerged in the water. It is badly decayed and carries a very strong, foul odor. It could provide a little nurishment, but not much.

Sauda

Sauda sniffed up the wind, taking in all the scents. She disgarded the beaver immediately, knowing from experience that old carcasses could make you sick. Turning her snout, she collected old blood into her nares, sneezing quietly. This was a possibility. Another turn of the dial brought moose to her nose, but she looked doubtfully at Lady. It usually took a whole pack to bring a moose down, but it was up to Lady. Whatever the alphess wanted, she would go with.

Lady

Lady crouched her nose rincled at th sent of the bever. a moose was a posability but it's hove trakes looked to be hudge. She then sented the blood she wondered what that might have come from. "Lets go that way." she wispere following her nose along the path of were the blood was smelt.

Sauda

Sauda nodded. She had been thinking the same thing. Keeping her steps silent, she followed after.

*Wounded Moose*

As the duo followed the scent of blood, in inevitably led them to a thick stand of small trees. Laying down amongst them was a bull moose, about 4 years in age. He had a decent set of anterls on him, but he was no where near the size of a large, dominant bull.

Along the side of his neck and face, long gruesome gashes could be seen. Blood was thick in his brown pelt around this wounds. This young bull was a looser in a recent fight for a harem, and a slip up during the fight left his opponent's antlers to cut into his flesh.

Lady

Lady looked at sadia crouching as she watched the moose. her eyes questioned if she was ready to finish it or not.

Sauda

Sauda nodded silently, being careful not to let her chin rustle the grass. If they were to take this one down, surprise would have to be their advantage. Keeping her deep green orbs intently upon the wounded bull moose, she waited for Lady's signal.

Lady

Lady smiled giving her a stay put look as she walked around as quietly as possable when she was positioned were she wanted to be she poked her hear out from the grass looking to sauda telling her now.

Sauda

Sauda let powerful hinds launch her forward, her muscles carrying her up to hopefully grab hold of the back of the moose's neck and plant her claws in his back to brace herself. Of course, she couldn't do a lot of damage from that angle, but it would cause the bull moose enough pain to hopefully distract him so that Lady could land a more vicious and deadly attack.

Lady

Lady lept out from her spot going for the lower part of the neck. hopfully she got it.

*Moose*

The moose swung his head around and scrambled painfully to his feet. But before he could rightly get up, Suada was on him, her fangs sinking into the back of his thick neck. Bellowing in anger and pain, the moose got himself up and thrashed around angrily. That's when Lady hit, catching her spot on the lower part of his neck. Grunting, the moose stamped his front hooves at Lady, trying to crush her beneath his deadly hooves. The pain made him frenzied, and more of his blood was split by their fangs.

Sauda

Dark femme grappled for purchase on the moose's broad back, and almost fell off. Her rear feet dangled in the air, and her weight was haning by her front paws and her teeth alone. She began to climb his side with her rear paws, digging her claws into his sides as she went. Increasing the pressure in her jaws now that she had a hold, Sauda locked down on the back of the creature's neck. She wasn't sure if she had the strength to carry off a spinal cord kill, but any amount of pain might distract the moos long enough to allow Lady to carry through with her attack, so she beared down, waiting for Lady to finish it.

Lady

Lady struggled to keep a grip of the moose's neck she bit harder she whined as one of its hooves hit her paw hearing a cracking sound but she refused to give up she must hang on. she bit harder trying to use her front paws to help her cling to the moose

*Moose*

The moose continued to struggle, but he was already weakened by the fight he had earlier with another bull. As he fought with the wolves, he stumbled on the countless yearling trees and shrubs, and couldn't keep a decent focus on any one wolf. Blood was seeping steadily from his throat, and try as he might, the moose simply couldn't throw Lady off.

Sauda was also doing damage, drawing the moose's attention in two. In quick time, the moose ran low on energy. A miss-step caused him to trip over one of the little trees, and crash to the ground. Both wolves would have to be careful not to get crushed.

But as he fell, one little tree peirced his side, running through his chest. It was a bizarre accident, but a gret boon to the wolves. In very short time, the bull was dead.

Lady

Lady let go of the moose to get out of the way wonce it died so looked to sauda "ok Lets get it home." she said looking from it to her then moving twards it being carfull of her paw.

Sauda

Sauda let out a yip as the moose's stumble sent her flying into a tree, breaking a rib. She lay there for a moment, watching the moose die, and then got up stiffly and came forward. Wincing a little, she grabbed hold of the moose and began to tug, ignoring her screaming side. Adjusting her weight because she could see Lady's limp, she put all her strength into it, growling her pain away. She could drag the moose back. She wouldn't enjoy it much, but she would live. And, above the pain, there was a great sense of accomplishment. The two of them had conquered a moose, a task that normally would take a whole pack. That was a better pain killer than anything.

Lady

Lady grabed the moose and helped pull it home
