Dimitri; Adrian; Kestrel

It was fair - for now - on that Sunday morning, but only over the lake, with very few clouds except for the huge anvil-shaped clouds on the western horizon. The eerie dark cloud was obviously unleashing its fury on the land beyond the lake, shooting lightning off and pouring rain. It was so far, though, that this lightning was heat lightning. No different than any other lightning, just what one might call lightning when they can't hear its roaring thunder.
"Hurry up." Dimitri was waving a gun at a young woman, with his somewhat emaciated brother Adrian behind him. Adrian had recently recovered from what was simply known as "The Sickness," for lack of a name, and it definitely showed in his pale skin and underweight frame.
"Please..." Kestrel said, holding herhands up, looking quite frightened. "...don't do this." The young woman, dressed in extravagant clothes with her hair dyed blue, was stepping backward as Dimitri stepped forward.
"Where's Damian?" Dimitri asked, the typical dark, vicious look in his eyes that said he wasn't afraid to kill. "Where is he hiding Hunter?"
Kestrel dropped down on the ground, tears running down her face. "I don't know what you're talking about!" As hard as she tried, she wasn't a good liar, and it was obvious that she did know what Dimitri was talking about.
Dimitri handed her an old, empty vodka bottle. "Fill it up."
Kestrel looked genuinely surprised, and indeed she was. "What do you mean... from the lake?! But Dimitri, this is Sanguine Lake! Surely you know what it will do to my skin, and there's no hope if I get it in my eyes or mouth!"
"Two things, Miss Malkoha." Dimitri said viciously, leaning over Kestrel. "One: I never told you my name, so you would not know it unless somebody told you. Two: does it look like I care what happens to your dainty little hand?"
Kestrel looked at the bottle, then looked up at Dimitri to find the gun held close to her face with Dimitri's finger on the trigger. "Okay, okay..." Kestrel sobbed, taking the bottle and slowly crawling to the blood-red lake.
Adrian looked a bit unsure about this. "Dimitri, you don't have to--" Dimitri cut his brother off. "Yes, I do. And I know you're not going to stop me." Dimitri then focused his attention on Kestrel again, watching her slowly, hesitantly making her way toward Sanguine Lake.

Asherah

I Will Never Love Again;
There was a deafening screech and a thud as the wolf hybrids body landed smack on the ground, the handprint laid across her façade, a silent growl issued from her throat. Asherah had been raised among humans, she had been renowned as a police dog, but those young dogs were appealing to the police officers. Not that it was reason that Asherah ended up here, no, the reason she was here was because of her clouded eyes. The accident had happened two years ago, and her partner had been unable to prove to his boss that she was still able to perform. They simply refused to believe that a blind canine could do as good as a younger one. So she was replaced, she could still hear the whispering taunts of the female that he had taken when she was left behind. She could remember the words, Doberman, and knew that he would take her, there was no denying that fact that Asherah felt left down.

So like so many before her, she had escaped, not smart enough to fight crime, but oddly smart enough to escape from a padlocked cage with two locks. No one could tell her she wasn’t smart, and he had warned the crew of her ability to escape from cages, but they never did listen. Her plume swayed as she dashed from the facility and out into the open. So much had changed since she had been outside, since she been able to see. She allowed her sense of smell and vibrations from the earth to bring her to where she needed to be. It was only a couple minutes before she picked out the scent of two legger and began to turn away, starving and refusing to allow herself to become in the same predicament.

Before she could turn however, she heard the voices and what sounded like a gun, her skull turned and her lobes flattened. She stalked up slowly, her bodice lowered to the ground, not charging until she was at least a couple feet behind him. With a quick start, she charged, just as her partner had taught her, the earth vibrating, telling its story, aiming her directly for the individual and sensing the movement around them. She leapt, throwing her 155 lb body into the air and attempted to grab on to the man’s arm as her partner had told her. It was the way that the academy had taught all their canines to disarm a felon. If she grabbed flesh, she would shake, throwing her head around in what would obviously be a terrifying and painful experience, her canines would be digging into sensitive flesh. Her plume was between her front limbs, and it was obvious that she wasn’t about to let go. At this point, Asherah was nearly to deaf to any voices, the only thing she knew was that this man was armed and that two others were obviously in danger.

A last fire will rise behind those eyes
Black house will rock, blind boys don't lie
Immortal fear, that voice so clear
Through broken walls, that scream I hear

A low chuckle filled the gloomy air, for whenever Jaden was involved, it must be a gloomy day indeed. Sitting on a large rock outcropping he watched the ongoings as the wolf hybrid attacked, having been downwind of her when she did. A rifle lay across his lap, a knife to one side and a pistol at the other. He had been following Dimitri for some time, finding it quite amusing that the man was torturing the woman. Jaden was a hard ass. The woman shouldn't have gotten caught. Having fun, Dimitri? His voice was mocking as though he was laughing at Dimitri. And internally, he was. His hair was blonde now, bleached and bright, with his tan skin. His massive body was held and relaxed, waiting for a bit to make sure everything went his way.

Blue masquerade, strangers look on
When will they learn this loneliness?
Temptation heat beats like a drum
Deep in your veins, I will not lie

Mohais Tiak

LATELY I'VE BEEN hard TO REACH
I'VE BEEN TOO long ON MY OWN

Friends, Family what did they mean to me? Nothing. I had none really, I had aquintances sure but that was it. I was not the nicest guy either. I was quick to anger and i believed women should always listen to the man. I was sitting in a tree by this lake just watching the going on s and watched the hybrid go in for the attack on the guy wit h the gun. Then I heard another voice and I glanced out and see a man watching and snorted. Geez, what a splendid bunch to run into. Seems that doggy there wants to take off your hand I speak quietly not really caring if Im heard. I don't really care to make enemies or allies really. I did enjoy watching the girl being threatened of course. That had me smirking.

EVERYBODY HAS A private WORLD
WHERE THEY can BE ALONE

Dimitri; Adrian; Kestrel

As soon as the hybrid arrived, Adrian pulled out his pistol and began shooting at it, not caring whether it lived or died if the bullets hit. "Back! Back you little bitch!"
Dimitri grabbed Kestrel by the beck of the neck and pulled her back. "Stay there." He growled, turning around, he fired one shot toward the hybrid's head and two toward its chest. His firing was cut short, though, when he noticed a very familiar voice. Getting Kestrel in a headlock, he aimed the gun at Jaden. "Where is she?! Where's Hunter?!" He was shouting so loud that his face was turning red. "And tell me where Damian is, because he's going to pay."
Kestrel was terrified, and it showed. "Jaden, that's your name, right?" She whimpered, squirming around and trying to get away. "I'm a friend of Natasha. I-- I didn't tell him anything!"
"SHUT UP!" Dimitri tightened his grip around Kestrel neck, causing her to gasp. Once Mohais arrived, Dimitri's attention was turned to him very briefly, then he looked back at Jaden, though spoke to Mohais. "And who are you?"

.jaden.

His eyes were alight beneath his ever present sunglasses as he gave a grin. Well, see Dimitri, there is a problem in your little plan. I don't know where Hunter is. Last I heard, she was with some asshole named Griffen. He has a brother though. Jaden lit up a cigarrette taking a rather long drag staring at Kestrel. Kidnapping and trying to mutilate that bitch won't get you anywhere. I mean, she might know where Griffens new hide out is, but I sure as hell don't. Hell, for all I know, that guy there knows where Hunter is. He took another long drag. She is a pretty little bitch though, isn't she? Soft, creamy white skin... She's rather pale isn't she? she has a nice body for having had a baby. Let me tell you, Dimitri, she screamed real loud when I fucked her brains out. Dimitri would be stupid to take a shot at Jaden. He knew something, and it was easy to tell he knew something.

Mohais Tiak

I watched this scenerio playing out. I didn't feel no pity for the women they were seemingly tormenting. He watched and listened carefully to everything said and when one of them spoke to him he let his legs hang off the branch and he swung down.Names Mohais Tiak, I mean you no harm or anything. Im just quiet amused by this situation. Its quiet Entertaining really I chuckled as I moved slowly closer.

Dimitri; Adrian; Kestrel

Dimitri rolled his eyes at Jaden, but never let his guard down. "Fine, deny it. You know, I bet your whore mother told plenty of lies too. Must be genetic." He had the gun aimed at Jaden, all the while keeping his arm around Kestrel's neck.
"Help me!" Kestrel pleaded. "He's trying to kill me! He wanted to throw me in the lake!"

"There's nothing 'amusing' about this scene, son. go back to the asylum." Adrian did not yet aim his weapon at Mohais, but he definitely kept it ready.

Dimitri listened intently to all Jaden had to say, even though he didn't want to hear it. "Cut the shit, dumbass. We can make this quick and we get away clean, or you can drag it out and things get dirty." It was what Jaden said next, though, that really got to him. The creep just talking about his girl bothered him, but this was even worse. "You son of a bitch! I'm going to kill you! I'll fucking kill you!" In a fit of rage, Dimitri pulled out his knife and stabbed it into Kestrel's arm, twisting it, tearing at the flesh and letting the blood flow out. He then threw her to the ground, letting her lie there and bleed.
His next move was probably to be expected. He shot two rounds off at Jaden, then rushed at him. He wasn't attacking like normal, though; he was attacking like a rabid mutt, ready to ignore any pain and never back down.

"AHHHHH! You idiot! Why are you doing this to me?!" Screamed Kestrel, writhing around in the muddy grass. She didn't want to pull the knife out, but she didn't want it in there either. For now, she just covered as much of the wound as she could with her hand.

.jaden.

Due to the anger, Dimitri's shots were off, one hitting the rock out cropping, and the other hitting just below Jaden's hand. Jaden, in one fluid motion grabbed his knife and brought up the shot gun as well. If you're smart Dimitri, you won't hit me. You know better. Hit me, I make the call, Hunter's dead. Kill me, you lose Hunter forever. Kill that bitch he pointed to Kestrel And I know Someone wwill get pissed. Could end bad. Then again, maybe not. I don't know her. I don't care about her. Through all the bullshit, Jaden was right. If Dimitri killed him, Damian would slip away and kill Hunter. If Dimitri hurt him, Jaden could make the call and she'd be dead and on Dimitri's door step within the hour. Which one was worse? Letting him live, which in turn would let his girlfriend live? Or killing him, and watching Hunter die as well?

Mohais

Mohais cocked an eye brow at adrians words and smirked. The Asylum? No I don't think I'll go there and if you say this isn't amusing I guess its notHe shrugged . I don't mean you any trouble man, I just looking for what Iguess some people call FriendsHe spoke. He watched the group and cocked an eye brow when Dimitri started shooting at the other guy and then the others guys words. However; he didn't speak on it knowing that wasn't his place.

Dimitri; Adrian; Kestrel

Dimitri thought for a moment, his green eyes fixed on his rival and his finger on the trigger. He could shoot him in the head right here, right now, but that was a big chance to take. Did he really want to take that chance? After a while, he figured that it wasn't a good idea. Besides, he needed Jaden alive. But he had a plan. All the while keeping his sight and aim on Jaden, he reached down into Kestrel's jacket and grabbed her cellphone. He flipped through the numbers until he found Natasha's number...along with her address and personal information. Natasha - Dimitri's sister, Jaden's girlfriend - wasn't exactly the most stealthy person, and apparently Kestrel wasn't much better.
"I know where Natasha lives now, Jaden. You know me. I know people. If you make the call, I make the call. If you so much as think about hurting Hunter, I'll have my people bust down Natasha's door, end her life, and the life of your unborn child." He knew that his half-sister was pregnant; he had gotten that information from Kestrel. He didn't know that she was having triplets, though. All the more for Jaden to lose. "So Jaden, you tell me where Hunter is - and I know you know - and you walk away and continue to live your miserable life with your girl and your mongrel child. That's the deal. That's the only deal."

Adrian seemed almost apathetic about all of this. The sickness had changed him. It seemed that part of him was missing, but only somebody who knew him would see that. To a stranger like Mohais, he might just seem a bit antisocial. "Well, as long as you agree with me..." Adrian mumbled bluntly, still showing a hint of the sarcasm he was known for before the sickness. "You won't find any friends here. This is the wrong place to look, unless you want to be friends with that deranged maniac." He nodded over at Jaden.

Kestrel was curled up, writhing in pain, feeling that her cries for help were ignored. She looked up at Mohais, the stranger who seemed to present no threat. "Please... Help me! Don't let them do this to me!" She squealed, lying on the ground in her pool of blood.

Jaden

Jaden's eyebrows raised and he gave a soft chuckle. You seem to think that I love Natasha. That I care about the bastards in her stomach. How could you not know me, Dimitri? Jaden liked playing the field though. Toying with each side until they destroyed themselves from the inside out. A careless shrug was given. He picked up his phone, pressed a button. Malachai.... I seem to be having problems finding the place. Will you get me directions? The kid was young and stupid. He wouldn't question Jaden, nor the fact that Jaden was asking for help. He was eager, while his partner Griffen was more laid back. Jaden was silent before he hung up the phone. They are at the Orphanage. But plan it out carefully. If Alex or Toni catch you on the premises with guns? All hell will break loose and cops will get involved. He took a hit off his cigarette. And not the cops all of us have paid off. I'd say make good with Toni and get a tour of the place. Alex... Lets just say Alex has a darker side. Why was he being so helpful? Like I said. Jaden likes playing the field.

Mohais

He raised an eye brow and glanced at Jaden. He don't seem like the type for any type of friendHe spoke then glanced down at the girl.why would I help you? What would be in it for me? Oh thats right probably nothingHe spoke as he stood there looking over all of them.

Dimitri & Others

Dimitri clenched his hand around his pistol. "Of course. I can't possibly suspect you of feeling emotions. You're a machine, Jaden. A machine with no morals, puppeteered by the residual genetic drives of a fucking neanderthal. The four 'F's: Fight, flight, food and fuck. That's all your mind can do. I wouldn't call you a monster. I'd call you a primitive mess of slime floating around in a puddle of shit, looking for more slime to absorb into your sadistic plots." He became even more alert when Jaden reached for something, but was surprised to find that it was a cellphone. He didn't expect that. He listened to Jaden's side, but obviously didn't hear whoever was on the other end. What surprised him even more was that he actually gave away Hunter's location.
He was faced with a dilemma. Bolt to the orphanage to find Hunter, or stay and make sure Jaden didn't pull some smart move. He chose what he believed to be the most important decision, and indeed it probably was. "Come on, Adrian. I've got an idea." He said to his brother, but always kept his eyes and his aim on Jaden. "Kestrel, you're going to help us." He wouldn't take no for an answer. It was either "Yes, I'll help you" or a body floating in the lake.
Adrian looked down at Kestrel before answering Mohais. "None of us are 'the type for any type of friend.' Trust me, man, no hard feelings, but we're all insane." When Dimitri gave him an order, he thought for a moment, then turned around and lifted Kestrel to her feet. "Well, Mohais, I hate to cut this conversation short..." he began sarcastically, "...but we've got something more important to be doing."
"No! No! Sir, please!" Kestrel shouted to Mohais. "Help me!"
