.aleu.

.the slender white wolf quietly padded into the dumping grounds, her white ears p.ricked slightly. noting that all scents of wolves were old, she yips nervously, not sure whether to continue or go back.

*Hints*

A flock of ravens was perched in the nearby trees, completely still and silent, which was odd for them. The scent of fresh meat hung heavy in the air. If the scent was followed, it would lead to a pile of meat beside a nearby pile of rubbish...

.aleu.

.nosing about, the slender white wolf suddenly caught the scent of meat. she was very hungry, but she noticed that the ravens were silent. she quietly padded through the dump site until she saw the meat. she sat on her haunches, debating whether to go closer or not...

*Meat*

The meat was very fresh and carried the unmistakable human scent; but almost everything in the dump did. A few peices of newspaper were laid about neatly on the ground near the meat and held down with other trash so they wouldn't blow away.

Still the ravens kept silent, watching the wolf and something else beyond her sights.

.aleu.

.the wolfess glanced about nervously, for she felt that she was being watched by something other than the ravens. her green eyes narrow as they once again glance towards the meat, and she makes a wide circle around the newspapers, careful not to touch them, before silently padding into the brush at the edge of the woods, trying to hide herself while she calmed her nerves...

*Meat*

After a few moments, something moved many yards away from where the meat was. To the eyes of a wolf, this moving thing was too far away to see clearly, but it appeared to have the look of an angry bear rearing up, although this creature was much thinner than a bear.

One raven mumbled a few whispered words to her comrad. Her vision was very keen at a distance, so she and her clan could see perfectly what was moving.

.aleu.

.the white wolf lay silent when suddenly her green eyes saw a shadow moving in the forest. she turned her ears slightly, and she heard the raven's whisper. what was this thing? she crept forward slightly, her green eyes narrowing. it seemed to move like a bear, but it was too small...she tilted her head slightly, watching through the bush. she felt a voice within telling her to flee, but she wanted to know what it was first...

*Ravens*

One sleek black bird looked down at the wolf, "It's a two-legger." she whispered, "That meat out their is dangerous; don't go near it."

.aleu.

.the wolf glanced upwards as the bird spoke quietly, and her green eyes widened slightly. she gazed back at the shadow, then at the meat. thank you she said quietly. now the tricky part...escaping with the two-legger knowing she was about. she stood up silently, her green eyes narrowing as they watched the form of the human, her muscles taunt, ready to leap away...

Silver Skye

The tawny-colored dog hadn't seen the human move. She came from a different direction towards the meat and had also missed Aleu as she hid in the timber line. Swaying her thick tail lightly as she loped along, Silver Skye headed straight for the meat to eat it. She was very hungry; her pack hadn't gone on a hunt lately.

*Human*

Just as the dog reached the meat, some of the papers seemed to fly up from the ground in a rush. A leg-hold trap clamped down over part of Silver Skye's front paw!

A man who was hiding a short distance away begins to walk over to the trapped dog...
