Catalpa
The lean wolfess wanders through a thicket of young trees while keeping her yellow gaze on the camp sites. Her nose was twitching, trying to pick up the scent of food.
*Humans & Dog*
A small yorkie dog, tethered to his master's camper, picks up on your scent. Looking around intently, he begins to bark and yap, alerting his masters that there is a wolf.
An older man exits the camper and looks down upon the yorkie with a scowl, "Stop your barking, Bunker. Supper's almost ready." He then proceeds to a nearby grill where a few hamburgers are nearly finished.
Bunker lunges at the end of his leash, still yapping, "Wolf! Wolf! I can smell it!" he exclaims and glances eagerly from his master to the woods. "There, I saw it! There!" he says, having seen Catalpa move through the thicket.
The man gives a bigger scowl, getting more annoyed by the relentless yapping. "Oh, alright Bunkers. We'll go see what's buggin' you." He walks over and unties the leash from the camper. Bunker springs impatiently at the end of his leash as his master leads him over to the thicket.
Catalpa
Her ears are directed forward at the strange, high-pitched yapping by the small dog. Scent told her this was no puppy; but how small he was, and so brave! The wolfess cringed low to the ground in hopes of concealing herself from this human and his yapping yorkie. Her ears were pressed back against her skull though, as the sound was aggrivating to her. After a moment, she spoke to the dog, but in a pitch that no human ears could detect, "Please lead your human away from me! I'm searching for food, that is all."
*Human & Bunkers*
Bunkers yapped all the louder, "A wolf! Master, I found her!" then he directed his insistent barking to Catalpa, "You will endanger my master! Get out of here and find food else where!"
The man figured it was some squirrel or little animal that got his dog all excited. The old man leaned over and began to move the brush aside with his one hand, trying to see what was there.
Catalpa
"Stupid mutt!" she rumbled under here breath and croutched lower to the ground. When the man moved the brush where she was hiding, Catalpa suddenly sprung up from hiding and rushed out from the timber line. She tore across the camp site of the man, brushing against his grill. Not waiting to see whether it fell over or not, the wolf continued to run until she was out of site.
