Kar
The tall she-dog lay down, her blue eye shining as she gazed out at the runs, thinking it was a safe place she let herself drift into a deep sleep. She began to bark in her sleep as a dream took over. She did not relize the danger that could happen.
*Humans*
The barking had alerted a human who was checking on the runs. He spotted Kar and silently scampered off. Very shortly after, he returned with a dart gun. After aiming it carefully at the she-dog's flank, he fired. The dart will take a few minutes to completely knock the dog out, so she has time to try and get away.
Kar
The She-dog felt the dart in her flank and yelped in her sleep, she woke up. She stood and looked for where the dart had come from, then saw the human and walked forwards. Then she feel down as the drug started to take effect.
*Human*
The man grabbed a nose pole that was leaning against one of the runs. When Kar fell, he jogged forward and slipped the noose around her neck before she could try and avoid it. Now that the dog was succumbing to the effects of the drug, she wouldn't be able to put up much of a struggle. The man dragged her, struggling or not, into a nearby run and removed the noose. After locking the door, he walked off to report his capture.
A coyote was in a run next to Kar's. She was sitting on top of her dog house, watching the dog.
kar
The she-dog saw a blurred vision of a coyote, She barked, her vision started to straitening. Her head hurt, this place smelt funny. She came round and saw that she was caught, her 71cm frame stood up and sniffed cage, which the humans called a 'kennal', she growled her large teeth bared. She was hungry, she wanted to hunt, but there was nothing and nowhere to hunt.
Silva
The coyote watched Kar as she regained her senses. She knew she was safe from any attack, so she didn't show any fear to the much larger canine. "I'm Silva." she stated after a moment of watching Kar. "There's no way out; believe me, I've tried. The humans may come around soon to feed us; they might also take you away somewhere."
kar
She sniffed through the bars at the coyote, "Is there really no way out?", she howled, hungry pushing her, she gnawed the fence, she was bored and hungry.
She stopped and growled, the sent of humans was strong here, she felt scared, the might take me away? She lay down fear sticking it to her, it was like a kick in the ribs.
Silva & *Humans*
Silva nodded slightly to Kar's first question. It might be possible for Kar to get out, but Silva doubted it. She then went on to explain a bit, "They do strange things when they take you into that building." the coyote gazed drearily at the large Laboratory building not too far away. "But I heard they let some of us go; and others... I'm not sure." After her little speech, the coyote paced the front of her kennel while staring listlessly to the outside world.
After sometime, a human reapeared wheeling a large cart in front of him. He stopped at each occupied kennel and tossed in a few pieces of raw chicken for the canines to eat. He paused in front of Kar's kennel for a moment while studying her and writing some things down in a notebook. Then he left.
Silva devoured the meat she was given, then looked to Kar, "I'll bet they'll take you to that building by tommorow. Usually they do if they stand in front of your kennel like that."
Kar
She growled as the human walked past. "do they? what happens in that building?" She growled, a nervousness her voice.
She did not sniff the chicken she was too hungry, she dived upon it and ate while see waited for an answer.
Silva
The coyote sighed, "I'm not really for sure what happens, but I've heard stories. They use their thorns," she went on, speaking of needles, "to put strange things in us. I've heard of one poor dog that had his ears and tail cut very short for fighting. They put metal claws on one coyote, I believe, then let her loose in the wild. If you're lucky, that's where you'll end up." She finished. "Do you have any family or friends?"
Kar
She hissed disgustedly, humans, so stupid, thinking they were so smart. She hissed and growled. "NO i have no friends, nor family" She barked angrily,
Silva
Silva rested her head down on her slender forelegs, "I've got two friends, but I don't know if they are alive or not." Silva let her eyes come close. Soon, she was asleep.
kar
She lifted her head up, letting a howl of angry lose, it echoed in her ears. She lay down and whispered to the coyote, "I will try and find your friends, or at-least give the humans something to think about."
She stood and paced the cage, waiting for them to come.
Silva & *Humans*
Her brushy tail waived faintly, "Thank you. Maybe someday we will both be free." Silva suddenly turned her head. Her large ears had picked up on the sound of steps coming closer. "Brace yourself." she whispered, not knowing if the humans were coming for them or not.
Soon one human appeared; a fairly large man with a noose-pole. He walked alond the kennels, glancing in at the dismal canine faces that looked back at him. He stopped in front of Kar's. After unlatching the cage, he quickly squeezed into the run without allowing any room for Kar to dash out if she planned too. He also used his pole to fend her off if she tried to attack him. "Arlight miss, it's your lucky turn today." he mummbled coldly and sarcastically as he tried to corner Kar in the back of the kennel.
Silva laid her ears back and bared her teeth. There was nothing she could do, beside express her anger. She paced along the kennel.
kar
She looked as the human entered, baking into the back of the, she looked at him and hissed and growled. She drew herself up,, growling and barking, snapping and lunging at the human. She walked forwards, rage building, her long teeth nearing the human.
*Human*
When ever she lunged too close to the man, he put his pole out so her teeth would clatter and snap against it instead of his flesh. Then, she came forward snapping at him, the man swiftly thrusts the pole forward trying to get the loop over her head and around her neck. But he misses and instead gets the loop around her top jaw only. He quickly tightens the loop to a painful degree and begins to try and drag her from the kennel. He held the pole tight enough so she couldn't pull away; and the loop of the noose was made out of a flexible wire that couldn't easily be broken by wolfish fangs.
kar
She hissed and snapped at the pole finding it cutting into her jaw, soon she followed him, her tail firmly on her belly, she could do nothing, but hope they would let her go.
*Humans*
She was taken directly to the Laboratory, now that their other 'patient', Aaka, had been released into the Mill.
