Fallen Rose
She staggered slowly behind him her paws beginning to drag as the cam to the pens.
Human
He opened a particular pen and shoved the female into it. The pen was small and dirty, with full of dung and smells of its last occupant. However, it held a small bowl of water, and he tossed a bowl of kibble in after her before he slammed the pen's door and walked away.
Fallen Rose
She stumbled into the pen and her bod began to shake violently. But as the shaking stopped she lowered her head to the kibbles but turned away to the water and licked up a few sips, then lay down.
Humans*Collie
A woman came strolling by with a noose-pole and a strong man by her side. Also with them was a thin, malnourished collie-mix who trotted placidly beside the woman. The woman eyed the cages, searching for a good "patient". The man lumbered behind her disinterestedly, and the collie mix was so hungry that it followed a few steps behind, not really paying attention to anything.
Fallen Rose
She looked up at the humans and growled slightly but her body was once again rocked by her shakings.
Humans*Collie
At the wolf's growl the man turned his head, scowling at her. Then he smiled a little, and let his voice coat with syrup. His voice had a commoner's accent, and a slight slur, as though he had been drinking. "Temper, temper, my sweet. It'll be your turn soon enough." And he dropped the sugar, hurling the rock he had managed to palm at her. Turning away, he left, heading for the next cage. The collie, however, was startled by this event,a nd came to Fallen Rose's cage. She too had a common accent, though without the drunken slur. "That was a mite silly, dearie. Easiest way to live around here is do what your told until you get a chance to escape. Otherwise they will'na feed you. If you'll take my word, lay low, be a good lil lass, and behave. It'll make life easier. Resisting... makes it.. less pleasant." And she eyed her own ribs, lined with scars of her old resistances, back before they had managed to break her spirit."MUCH less pleasant."
Fallen Rose
She growled at the man and yelped as the stone sent her shhoulder then snapped at the collie, as a another set of spasms racked her body.
Collie
The collie didn't even flinch, knowing the penned female couldn't hurt her from that side of the gate. "You would do better to let them believe they have beaten you. Then they may let their guard down. Then you may have the chance to escape. I might be able to help you then. But not here. Not now. They are watching us."
Fallen Rose
She looked at the other snapped once again and went to the other side of the pen.
Collie
The collie eyed the femme, thinking to herself. If sense would not reach her, perhaps a taunt. "How can you be deaf with EARS like that?" And she grinned, tossing her head to complete the insult.
Fallen Rose
She looked forward at the concrete wall even though she wanted to rip the colie apart. She stood there listening waiting for another taunt.
Collie*Humans
Collie sighed, twitching one ear. "A stubborn bit o' rot, you are. Look, lemme put it to you straight. I can get you out of there. You can point me toward the nearest place away from here where a collie would be welcome. We go our ways, we are free, we owe each other nothing. If we meet in the future under less fortunate circumstances, we can kill each other if we want. But we both have one hand up. So... your answer?"
Fallen Rose
She perked her ears naught at the collies words, but at a hole in the fence. And looked back at the humans and watched, as a spasm shook her bod, it wasn't as harsh as the last one and she hoped it would be one of the last.
Collie
The collie saw the wolf's gaze, and nodded. "They know about that one. In fact they haven't used this pen in a while. Assuming you are small enough to fit without doing significant damage, you might get out that way."
Fallen Rose
She stared at the collies for a second but her gaze soon shifted to the humans, waiting for them to leave.
Humans* Collie
The humans, with a last glare at the rebellious wolfess, turned away, heading for the other pens.
The collie took that as a signal to grab the bit of loose wire fencing and tug with all her might. The fencing cut her mouth, but she tugged anyway, and the hole got bigger: big enough for the wolfess to squeeze through without hurting herself. That done, she turned away, starting to walk off.
Fallen Rose
She gave a small bark to the collie in thanks then broke out of the fencing not knowing where to go she just ran.
Kaida
She watched the femme race away, and went to lay down. She stayed for several hours, until her mouth had ceased bleeding and dark had fallen. Finally, she raced after the other, wanting to learn how to be free.
