Dakota & *Wolf*
Dakota shook her head sadly to the statement, wishing she could understand the two-leggers. But she could take a good guess that, what ever the human had said, it wasn't a good thing. Dakota sat back on her haunches, gazing wistfully at Arya before turning her eyes upon the other wolfess. From her jaws, she dropped the useless keys.
The other wolfess came forward, looking rather miserable with her ears pasted back and her tail tucked. She was very sorry about not helping Arya when the man captured her, and feared that the wolfess would be mad. Her eyes flashed from Dakota to the keys, "You got the shiny sticks still? It's useless. They won't help anything, unless you had the paws of a human." She sat down, hanging her head dismally before looking to Arya, "What did they do to you in there...?"
Dakota shot her gaze back to Arya now, pulling her ears back a bit in sympathy. She had wanted to know this as well, but of course, couldn't ask.
Arya
Hmm. Arya thought as she sat down next to Dakota. She shuddered at the thought of remembering, and said, "They messed around with this liquid. First they made me smell it, and it made me pass out. Then they put it in my eye." she shuddered to show them how it hurt. "Then this amazing human stopped them from doing anymore... and took me here." She smiled, remembering the heroic human. She looked at the ground.
*Another Human*
She was watching as the wolves communicated. Why can't they study that? They would make more money anyway. Oh, Whatever, they won'tlisten to me of course. She got out 3 treats. Looking behind her to make sure no one was there, and called Arya over. If Arya would take that from her hand, the maybe the wolves would trust the her more.
Arya
Arya tited her head and slowly walked up to the human. she went into a submissive posture, if she knew anything about wolves' behavior. She looked up at the human. What was going on now? She smelled something. Food. She stood up and raised her head to smell it better.
*Human*
The woman who saved Arya from the liquid came over and gave the wolfess a wink. She sat down beside the girl.
[Need help?] She asked.
She knew tones about how wolves comunicated. She smiled, and lay down on her stomach. She looked at the wolfess, and whined like a dog. She whinned again, and gave a look to the girl, telling her to do the same.
*Another Human*
She did the same.
[Have you ever gave a dog treat to a wolf before?]
She asked.
*Human*
The woman smiled,
[Of coarse! You must be new here!]
She whispered.
She gave out another whine, hoping the wolf would come over.
*Another Human*
The girl nodded.
[Well, I bet the other staff don't. And yes, I am new.]
The girl made a bark sound.
Arya
Arya looked at them. did they actually want to be wolves? She came close and barked back. She looked at the treats and licked her chops.
*Human*
The woman smiled, and let out a lonly howl, and sat like a dog. She knew much about wolf behavioure, though she sometimes didn't know what to do. She took the treat, and shoved it threw the fence.
Dakota & *Wolf*
Dakota listened to the sounds the humans made, and was very much interested in the way they were acting. Still, it made her highly suspiscious. Her vocal cords had been cut and other tests had been done on her, so she had little room for trusting the two leggers. Her eyes flashed questioningly to Arya, but her friend seemed to have some trust in the humans. Or maybe it was just the treats they carried? In any case, Dakota krept forward, her tail tucked and ears pasted back. Scooting up to the fence, she sniffed at the humans.
The other wolfess cowered at the back of the cage, her spirit rather broken. She had no ounce of trust or courage any more.
*Another Human*
The woman did the same. She stood up and tried to give Dakota a treat.
Arya
Arya took the treat and trotted to the back of the cage.
*Another Human*
The woman had to go now. She waved goodbye and left to go home.
Arya
She turned to Dakota and shook her head. Humans. She looked down at the black fur on her. She had gotten used to it by now. She shivered.
