*Human*
Two humans came out of the building, both huge, burly males, one with a cinch-pole. He loosened the noose and dropped it over the wolf's head, pulling it tight. He then handed the noose to his partner and headed back inside. The other man, armed with a sedation gun for troublesome "patients", began to drag the wolf toward the building.
Fallen Rose
She pulled back till the noose choked her then she reluctantly stepped forwards. She barred her fangs at the human and snapped a couple of time but did naught else.
*Human*
Laughing at the female's attempt to resist, the human jerked again against her windpipe, just for the fun of it. He continued to drag her toward the door, thinking of all the fun and interesting things that he might do to her once they got inside...
Fallen Rose
She leaped forward as he pulled aiming for his back with her claws that had been sharpened with gold studs. They ripped the humans shirt then she sat down looking innocently up at him.
*Human*
The big man recoiled a little in reflex as claws sliced through his skin, leaving shallow, if painful gashes along his back. However, he only smiled and tightened the noose again, keeping the pole between them as he moved around in back to shove her forward, to avoid such a mistake again. He'd almost lost his left hand to another wolf once. Such a pitiful attack was not going to faze him. He kept a closer eye on the rascal, and continued to shove, muscled arms and thighs bulging as he did.
Fallen Rose
She followed him into a white walled building she held her tail low unsure of what to do. She heard nothing it seems at the door closed and the outside world went away.
*Human*
The big fellow hauled her into the room, and jerked up on the lead-pole to lift her onto a waist-high counter. He reached to hook the free end onto a hook suspended from the ceiling for that purpose, which would effectively render the wolf incapable of moving off the table without breaking her own neck.
Fallen Rose
She watched him a low growl emitted from her throat as she watched his movments suspiciously. She barred her ivories but stood still.
*Human*
Burly man fashioned a noose and slung it over the wolf's snout, tightening as he did so. He then left the room, out of the wolf's sight, to fetch a muzzle, to disarm her only defense.
Fallen Rose
She sat down her rump hit the cold metal table and she stood up. Her eyes where full of confusion. She didn't know what to do, she didn't hear any other wolves. or smell them.
Human
The man was back shortly, muzzle in hand. With a well practiced movement, he slipped the muzzle over her snout and latched it in one movement. Working the rope, he was able to get it out of under the muzzle as well as keep his hands well out of harm. He played with the muzzle's latch again, pulling it much tighter then it needed to be.
Satisfied that the wolf was not going to do anything to him, he moved back to the opposite corner of the small lab room, playing with different ideas in his mind. Little clinks of metal could be heard as he moved from instrument to instrument, what do to? what to do?
Fallen Rose
She watched him her deep growl etched with fear. She listened to him her mind unsure of what was happening.
*Human*
The big man selected a few choice needles and cutting utensils. The needles were mostly things that were known sedatives, or either were being experimentally tried to treat seizures and epilepsy in humans. Gathering them and placing them carefully on the rack, he left them to come and strap down the wolf's feet, in case it got any ideas about leaving. Because if it jumped off the table, it would hang itself from teh lead suspended from the ceiling, and he could nto experiment on a dead wolf...
Fallen Rose
She felt the man begin to tie something around her feet, she didn't like the idea, not one bit. She turned and looked at him her hind paw slipping off the table and her ivories grinning at him, she uttered a deep throated growl and backed away. She didn't stop till she felt her hind quarters begin to fall beneath her that she had stepped to far.
*Human*
With amazing speed for his size, the man grabbed the wolf bodily, now that the muzzle was on, and held it down with one arm, fastening the restraints with the other. After all, couldn't have the thing hanging itself. It was no good to him dead.
Fallen Rose
This she didn't like not at all. She squirmed and yelped but couldn't wriggle from her grasp. Her bod began to become tired and her strugglings became weaker.
*Human*
He grinned out of power as her struggles grew weaker. Tightening all the bindings on her, he turned away to pick up the first of the needles, this one filled with a strong sedative.
Fallen Rose
She tried to move but the restraints held her fast...
*Human*
Now that the wolf was unable to move, he took up a needle containing a mild sedative, and grabbed a handful of the wolf's scruff, pressing the needle to her vein and injecting the lot. Next he picked up another needle, this one filled with an experimental treatment for seizures. He pumped this one into her as well, and stood back, waiting to see what would happen.
Fallen Rose
She felt the needle jab and began to lay down, when another was jabbed into her. Her muscles began to twitch and her eye lids fluttered, and she began to bark as much as the muzzle would alow. Then she suddenly became still, her breathing shallow...
*Human*
Seeing the reaction, he crossed that medication off the list and moved to another needle. After all he couldn't use her if she was dead. Grabbing up a needle full of a vitamin/mineral supplement, he pumped her full of it, going back for a second needle to nullify the effects. She'd be weak for a few days and unusable, but she'd live. As she sank down, he loosened the restraints and took the lead-line down from the hook. Grabbing her, he hefted her easily and started to head for the pens.
