Valerian

The raven haired man walked in, his placcid green eyes coldly staring about the place. He ran a skeptical finger over on of the cold metal tables and grumbled. Walking over to one of the subjected wolves he studied her, and wondered who had put these pathetic excuses for animals in here. He ventured over toward a table and picked up a couple of beakers.
"If I'm right, these chemicals should boost their agility..." He mumbled quietly, picking up assorted flasks and jars, and pouring them together.

Kar

White hybrid emerged from under the very table he had touched and stood near, looking at him, first with her blue eye, then her white, damaged eye. She snarled, great teeth shown in a hard threat, salvia slivered from her hungry jaws, for all the pain she had been put through, the humans would suffer badly, she had be bred for dog fighting, lion and bear baiting, this was a lowly human, not much of revenge, but some at least. She walked closer, barking harshly, her sanity gone, rage pulsing through her blood.....

.....She lunged powerful jaws open, grabbing for his leg, she missed, she didn't run, or cower, she stood right next to him, she was not afraid of a human, ears locked forwards, hearing every movement he made, muscles ready to spring, hackles raised, weight spread evenly. Pearly hite teeth glinted in the light, sharp enough to go through steel.

Valerian

He leapt back, glaring at the she-wolf he grabbed the noose stick and slipped it around her neck. He held her out a few feet away-as far as the stick would go, but knew it wouldn't hold out for long. He glanced around and saw an open cage. He began maneuvering her toward it, and picked up a siringe needle, readying it for her flank.

Kar

She snarled, twisting and turning, snapping all the while, she eyed the syringe, it was like the one they had put the cleaning fluid into her eye, ear and nose. She snapped, her tail between her legs, they had been so strong last time, she felt herself almost in the cage, the needle ready, she jumped, twisting, snarling and snapping, she felt herself land partly in the cage, she swirled, the noose was tightening ever time she twisted, she panicked, feeling it begin to strangle her, she was as good as captured, she made one last effort, diving at him, jaws wide open, target made, would more humans come....

Valerian

He made the equivalent to a human growl and met her force for force. She was directly in line for the cage and he slammed her in, managing to deftly slip the noose away from her mangled neck and slam the cage door shut. He stuck the needle deep in her flank and injected the calming fluid. Standing up, he removed the medical gloves and discarded the empty siringe.
"That should calm you down." He wasn't normally a most abusive human, he was firm. Although he enjoyed the sport of dog fighting more than the actual companionship of them.
When he was younger, his father had a large brutish dog that he always abused, and at such a young age, the dog easily over powered young Valerian, and took out his anger of being abused on the little boy.
He still had the scars to prove it.

...So now days he worked on special concoctions and devices to train and power up the animals for fighting; which he earned most of his money from. He eyed the femme in the cage, she would be a perfect specimen for the pit.
Her anger and natural fury was enough to take down any dog, more or less a mutt; he was trained and adept in the handling of canines, which proved how he so easily avoided her attack.
He returned to his work and picked up the beaker, tapping it with one finger as the liquid joined forces; then looked back to the femme with lustful eyes. The risk at giving her the medicine was high right now, he would run a couple of tests before giving it to her; he couldn't bare to lose such a fine fighting specimen.
"What shall I call you?" He mused to himself, setting the delicate beaker down once more and eyeing her.

Kar

She growled as the needle was stuck in her flesh, she leapt forwards, teeth snapping at the cage, trying to reach him, soon she began to calm down. She watched him, lying down, she did not fear humans, just didn't like them. She didn't like the way he was playing with the chemicals, she stood, sniffing the cage, leaping at it, and attacking it, it smelled strongly of her enemies.

Valerian

He watched her meaningfully, then turned and exited the room for awhile. He had to make due with some tests on lab rats, and then a sickly dog.
...The tests would take a while, until then, he would study his new catch. He returned, she was a beautiful animal, and he felt a certain pride outside his fear and pain, at having caught her. He continued thinking of a name, and searching for one of his special training collar.

Kar

Tan body lay down, no fear fear in her blue, or white eye, she watched as he hurried around, what was he doing, she barked, hngry, she wanted meat, she growled, barking and snarling, he would be lunch if he didn't give her food soon, she began to throw herself at the mesh again. She howled, waiting for food, she wanted it now!

Valerian

He laughed at her impatience and turned to the cabinet, pulling out a pack of freeze dried food. He opened the bag, inhaling the nasty jerky smell-most humans did not enjoy the smell, but canines seemed to.
He held it out for her to sniff, taking his precious time.

Kar

She snarled, scents playing into her delicate Nose, though her left could not pick it up as well. She barked, jumping at the bars, lunging at the meat, teeth bared. She was good at what she was bred to do, fight, dogs, bears, bulls, she had once been given a tramp to fight, she had torn his wind pipe out before he could move, it had been easy. She barked again, snarling at him, she would kill anything for food.

Valerian

He realized this, and took it to his advantage. Noticing her sudden change in agression at the sight and scent of the food, the tried something. Something to aide in training.
He held out his hand at the cage, palm facing him-He should have been wearing a protective glove, but the wire mesh would hold her well enough. If she snarled at the hand that fed her, she would go without.
If not, then the training would continue.

Kar

she looked at the hand, and the meat, she stopped snarling, focusing on the food, a small knowledge seemed to come into play, if it feeds you you should not snarl at it. She looked at him, intelligence in her eyes, she snapped a little, stopping, hunger filling her.

Valerian/Calder

"A smart one, aren't we?"
He asked, his english accent strong. He pulled a bit of meat out of the container and tossed it to her.
"That should keep you for a bit." He reponded, settin ghe rest of the meat on the table beside him.

Suddenly the door burst open and a man stormed in, blonde hair glistening in the light. He stopped in front of Valerian.
"What's all this?! I thought you had stopped this futile research crap of yours!" He said, his accent just as strong.
Valerian let out an exasperated sigh, and ran his fingers through his bangs, glancing at his catch.
"Calder, I'm really not in the mood for this."
They stopped and talked for awhile, Valerian making gestures toward the femme in the cage. Calder looked upon her with approving eyes as they spoke. The tall blonde man suddenly stooped down to have a look at her.
"Careful there Calder, she's a bit of a vixen."
The blonde looked at his colleague, and Valerian covered his eyes with his hand cradled in his other arm. Calder never had been the smartest person on animals, especially wolfish canines.
Valerian knew where the medical kit was, just in case.

Kar

She jumped on the meat, ripping it with powerful fangs, and jaws, it was gone soon, she hadn't eaten in a long time. When he stooped she growled, snarling, hackles raised, suddenly she leapt, t him, teeth and the front of his jaws managing to get through the bars, calming drugs gone now. She barked snapping, at him, he wasn't going to feed her, so he got no respect, or even a second glance. The latch(es) rattled on the cage, the bolt began to come lose. she still snarled snapping, she wanted o kill any human that came to close, the same urge she had felt a day ago.

Valerian/Calder

Valerian heard the bolts coming loose, and saw the shakey cage starting to fall apart. He cuffed Calder on the side of the head, sending him sprawling to the floor.
"You fool!" He hissed, trying to find a better way to hold her. Leaping back toward the table he grabbed the remainder of the meat, holding it in front of her in an attempt to calm her.
He glared at his colleague.
"You never were any good with dogs." He said, spitting the words at his friend like acid.
Calder furrowed his brows and glared at him, rubbing his sore cranium.
"Well, if you wouldn't pick the meanest brutes out there I wouldn't have to worry."
Valerian rolled his eyes.
"We need the meanest to beat them, besides, this one's a she, and that'll give us an edge when the mating season hits."
He said this with a wry smirk, and Calder stood up shakily, eyeing the female cautiously.

Kar

As soon as the meat came she began to calm down, focusing on the food, saliva dripping, she wondered what they would do to her, she had seen him doing something, and trying to find something earlier, what was it? She looked at the blonde careful

Valerian/Calder

Valerian turned to Calder with a glare.
"You are a fool Calder."
The blonde shook his head and stood up, eyeing the femme with both lusty and frightened eyes.
"No, she needs to be sedated."
Valerian sneered.
"She will fetch me a hefty prize in the fghting ring, I'll train her, and when she comes into heat I'll take her in there."
Calder's eyes lit up.
"Ah, being a sneaky devil again, aren't you?"
Valerian let out a hefty laugh and then shoved Calder.
"Yes, and you're going to keep your mouth shut about all of my plans, or you know the price."
Valerian patted his pocket, which made Calder slow down and nod.
"Yeah, yeah. Fine." He turned and walked toward the door. "Just be careful Val, you don't need to risk lock-up again."
The raven haired man merely shooed him off, and looked for a stronger cage.

Kar

She growled, her heat was to come soon, though she didn't know what they spoke of, she barked, she could smell other dogs, she wanted to kill, and to kill now, she didn't care, human animal, same thing to her, she bared her teeth at Calder as he left, snapping, he hadn't feed her, he'd be perfect, she crashed into the cage, it fell apart, she ran at Calder, hackles raised, teeth bared snapping, barking, ready to savage him.

Valerian/Calder

Valerian turned viciously toward them, his eyes flashed as Calder, barely outt he door was grabbed ahold of by the she-wolf. The reven haired man grabbed the noose again, trying to slip it around her neck, but her maw had managed to clench onto the idiot's leg. He was losing alot of blood-it seeped onto the floor and covered her white fur.
He cursed and turned, looking for the taiser. Finding it, he pulled it off the wall, but it wouldn't turn on.
"Damn! It's not charged!" He threw the useless peice of machinery to the floor, and heard his collegues terrified screams as he tried to wrestle away from the dog.
"Get off me! Get offa me!" He cried, blood overing his hands as he tried to shove her off.
Valerian ran over to the fire extenguisher in a sudden burst of genius and pulled the ring off.
"I hope this works..."
He pointed it toward the beast and man and shot it off.

Kar

She snarled, the foam covering her, she retreated to a corner. a chunk of flesh in her mouth, blood covering her, hackles raised.

Valerian/Calder

Calder whimpered, tears streaming down his face and scooted back as close to the doors as he could.
"Bloody bitch bit me leg off!" He screamed, trying to keep his red eyes from the sopping wet leg.
Valerian felt no need to rush to his colleagues aide, he had warned the dolt enough times not to mess with her. Luckily, he said to himself as he watched her retreat, he didn't have to sedate her.
He helped Calder up and walked him down the hall to the infirmary.
"You're just lucky she didn't bloody kill you," He said, matching his friend's accent word for word. At times when they became agitated their qality of sounds became rather primordial. "I would have let her kill you for all you're worth." He snarled, and turned, returning to the room with the jezzabelle in it.
He pulled out the noose and laid it on his shoulder, approaching her slowly.
"Ok now lass, if we do this cooperatively, I'll feed the rest of my friend to you."

Kar

She snarled at Calder, muscles tense, she looked at him and licked her lips, ears focussed on him, she allowed the noose over her neck, but wondered way he wanted her. She didn't understand his words, but no matter,
