Aizen

Aizen knew his family would come for him. However, he also knew the best chance of getting away would be if he was allowed ot be loose so for the most part he obeyed that stupid human. Though any of the other canine his tails would go straight up into a dominance pose. He wouldn't submit to them, he didn't even really submit to the human who still tried to geth im to eat the dry and wet crap he surved these mutts. He was stalking a deer. His ears back and body low. He knew how to hunt he just never did much back home. But he figuredi t was the only way he was gonna get the food they were meant to eat.

This deer was older so it shouldn't be too hard to bring down. He didn't even care if the deer belong to this human it was his dinner. It must be use to humans as it still didn't move as it grazed. Its head shoots up just as Aizen latches onto its nose and clamps down. HE refuses to let go as the deer fights trying to throw him off.The deer can't breath. Soon its down still alive. He keeps his mouth firmly on its nose and lays down to wait till it suffocates.

Ethan & *Pack*

In the days following the failed rescue of Aizen, the raptors had reported seeing him back at the cabin. Tersek had been eager to mount a rescue, but an increase in traffic along the roadways and human presence in the lower mountains near the Ruins had been just enough pressure to hold him back. Above all else, Tersek did not want to bring the full wrath of humans upon the Haunters until he was sure they could take the two-leggers on and wipe them from the Valley for good. For now, he settled on sending Erathi to keep tabs on Aizen and make sure his son wasn't in immediate danger.

As for the three-legged Haunter, the spiked collar he wore had the added protection of a shock device attached to it, so that if he strayed too far from the house, he'd get a painful zap. This allowed him to wander free from a leash, but ensured he didn't run away entirely.

Fortunately, Aizen was well within the perimeter when he caught his deer. The old buck snorted and tried to fight, but struggled to draw in breath. A fuzzy set of antler were spread like a magnificent crown above his head, with over thirty tines jutting in various angles. A dull plastic tag hunt from one ear, signifying that this indeed was the property of Ethan. And as Silver Fyre approached the pair, Aizen would hear her groan, "You know Ethan's going to be pissed when he finds this?"

Aizen

The Deer breathing seast just at Silver Fyre approached and he let the face drop. Well im starving He wanted to make me his pet he'll have to learn to deal with itHe said before moving to start tearing into the deer. He would never eat something that was not fresh and that wasn't killed by teeth and the power of themselves not that stupid boom stick.

Ethan & *Pack*

"You're making progress Aizzy, but you've still got a ways to go." Silver Fyre said with a chuckle and a shake of her head. "You know, if you'd listen to him better and not kill his things..." Ruddy-red eyes fell to the carcass Aizen was now tearing into, "...he'll eventually take that zappy collar off your neck. Might even take you out on long hunts with us." The wolfdog sauntered in a circle around the felled deer, sniffing curiously at the felled beast but not taking any bites from it.

A rustle of leaves announced the presence of a third canine, and sure enough the large form of Carbon came stepping into the small clearing. The dark-furred brute frowned when he saw Aizen tearing into the old stag, "You idiot." Green eyes turned a glare to Aizen, "That was not yours to kill."

"The stag was old." Silver Fyre suggested, "He could hardly hold his own in the rut anyway, Ethan knew that."

The hybrid's words earned her a scowl from Carbon next, "That's not the point."

Aizen

Aizen tore into it as she spoke and he snorted. He should of thought of what I needed to eat when he stole me from my familyHe said in retort. His tail above his back and his ears twitch as Cabron came out and he snorted.I needed food, real food not that stuff he thinks is good for us not my faultHe said as he continued to eat till he was full. He licked his lips as he sat up then and glanced at Carbon. I will kill prey animals when I need to eat. Unlike his kind I don't hunt for sport or fun its because I'm hungry. I will continue to eat a carcass till their is nothing but bones lefthe said and then glanced at Silver.as for the hunts he takes you on he uses that loud stick to kill things that is no way to huntHe said shaking his head. He was only biding his time he'd get out of here one way or another.

Ethan & *Pack*

Carbon continued to glower at Aizen, "Your problem is that you lack discipline and control. Keep this up, and your pelt will be hanging along with your friend's in the barn." He turned his nose up at the sight before him, not because a scene of blood and gore bothered him, but because his his disdain for Aizen and his behavior. "Anyway, I've come out here to inform you both that Ethan is preparing for some sort of hunt."

Silver Fyre tilted an ear, curiosity lighting in her dark eyes, "Why do you think that?"

"He was getting his hunting clothes on, and going over his boomsticks." Carbon answered back, knowing his master well. To Aizen, he lifted a brow, "As for your dislike for his weapons, just be thankful you're not on the wrong side of them, yet."

Aizen

He snorted. He's a weakling for having to use those things and a cowardHe said after eatting his fill. He licked his lips then usedh is paws to clean himself. He kills me he haunters will definietly rain down upon him and not only will any of you defending loose your life he will too. The only reason they didn't kill when we came for our friend was because we had one goal, our friend. But by taking me he has declared war with the haunters. You didn't see half our numbers that day. Nor the day he took meHe said. He knew his family would come it was just a matter of time. A true hunter hunts with what nature gave themHe said.

Ethan & *Pack*

"A weakling? No, Ethan has the strength of ingenuity and intelligence. Just because he lacks fangs and claws does not mean that he's a coward." Carbon vigorously defended his master, while continuing to look down upon Aizen and his savage ways. "Nature gave him dexterous paws and a powerful brain, and he uses both exceedingly well. He did kill one of the almighty 'Haunters', after all."

Silver Fyre sighed audibly, "The longer you two squabble over Ethan's qualifications, the angrier he's going to get, having to wait on us." She walked past Aizen, flicking a brushy tail against his face before sauntering past Carbon and doing the same thing. "C'mon you two."

Aizen

He snorted at him.If he was smart he would of tried to make friends and allies of the haunters instead he makes enemies with ushe growls. ohh he killed one of us we've killed plenty of humans and those like him and we'll do it againHe said. Then silver walks by him flicking her tail in his face. He was a bit puzzled by that. Silver he was okay with for hte most part. He snorts. He says no more to Carbon. His tail up over his back as he follows Silver.

Ethan & *Pack*

"Friends, with wild beasts?" Carbon huffed incredulously, not bothering to look back over his shoulder at Aizen this time, "He doesn't befriend his prey." Silver Fyre got a low growl for invading his space, but the king hound didn't offer her any remarks or snaps. Hot tempered as he was, he was a canine in control, and wouldn't easily be baited into action unless he felt it necessary. Flagging his own tail high, the hound picked up his pace and charged onward.

Silver Fyre glanced back at Aizen once, a wry look on her face that says she's not invested in Carbon's hardlined views on Ethan, or the squabble the pair just had. She was a more carefree spirit, in line with her wolven ancestry. Her loyalty to Ethan was born more out of necessity than personal devotion, so she cared little what either of them thought of the tall, storm-faced human.

By the time the three emerged from the treeline, Ethan was nearly done loading his truck. There was a frown when he noticed blood on the maw of Aizen, but he couldn't yet know the source of it. "Come, get in. We're going for a hunt." The sharp click of a tongue followed, and both Carbon and Silver Fyre darted forward eagerly. 'Come', 'Get in', and 'Hunt' were known phrases, and both obediently hopped into the back of the covered truck bed. Ethan whistled loudly then, calling for more of the hounds.

Silver Fyre settled towards the back of the bed, peering through one of the slender windows, "Wonder where we're going today. I don't smell Tom; wonder if he's going to meet us?"

Aizen

Aizen snorted at him shaking his head. Then he will be our prey till his end I suppose he will not win a war with the haunters, he may win a battle or two but not the war I promise you thisHe said. He only obeyed much like Silver out of Necissity, Once he found his open to free himself he would do that and well he was hoping that Silver might join him. If this was a hunt then Aizen would show the canine they don't need the assitance of the man boom stick. He would follow Silver if Ethan did not stop him. He didn't care what Ethan would think when he found the reason he had blood on his muzzle. Of course when he see's what they were hunting or more like recapturing Aizen would not care he would change his position quickly.

Ethan & *Pack*

"And that's why you still wear that lightning collar." Carbon retorted with a pointed look to Aizen as he settled into the back of the truck. "And you'll continue to wear it until you die, or until you come to your senses and accept him as your master and alpha. Drop your senseless prid-"

"Really, you two?" Silver Fyre sighed deeply, closing her eyes as she puffed the air from her lungs with force, "Lets just enjoy this hunt, okay? You two can bicker when we get back, but while we're out there, we need to work." Carbon glowered at the wolfdog, then abruptly turned and stalked to the opposite end of the bed, putting distance between himself and them.

Carrie and Blue were soon leaping into the back of the vehicle, with their combined weights causing the truck to shift and and the shocks to groan. The dark-coated Blue did not have a friendly smile for Aizen, the one she'd initially attacked when the Haunters came to rescue Darkia, but she didn't glare at him either. As far as she was concerned, Ethan wanted him as part of the pack, so she wasn't going to start any trouble with him. She wasn't going to be openly friendly with him either though, so she strolled past him without a word and sat beside Carbon.

Carrie settled down near the tailgate, tail thumping as Ethan closed it up and gave her a brief pat on the head.

Before long, the truck roar to life, and the cabin house soon grew distant as Ethan drove the pack away from his land and out deeper into the Valley.
