Windsong

The brute led Aurinka to the cabin, sniffing the wind. Shit. He was sure Tahti, if she found them, would have his head because of Aurinka. Oh well, its not like Risen said that I couldn't. She said any Lurker ally. Windsong glanced back at Aurinka. "Here." Windsong told her.

Tahti/Aurinka

Aurinka followed, almost hesitant to enter the land. Mother had told her the bad things humans to to canines. She looked around nervously, tail between her legs. "M-Mother?" She asked, almost in a whisper.

Tahti's head shot up when she heard a familiar voice. "Aurinka???" Came her rather excited reply. She ran to where the two were and licked the coywolf. Aurinka smiled and licked her mother back. Tahti looked up at Windsong. "You have not hurt my daughter, have you? Why have you brought her here."

Aurinka's smile quickly faded. "Yes. He hurt me. I will be the mother of your first grandchildren." She said ashamedly. "I was just playing with my friends when he attacked me." Her eyes filled with tears as she spoke.

Tahti raised her hackles and bared her fangs, growling at Windsong. "You have harmed my daughter. For that, you must pay." She said in a deathly tone, striking out at the big wolf's face.

Windsong

Windsong winced, but her fangs just left a few bloody scrapes. "Have you betrayed the Shadow Haunters, Tahti?" Windsong growled. "I simply am filling out the duties in which Risen in trusted me. Do you attack your own pack mate? Windsong golden eyes burned like flames, muscles rippling and he puffed out his chest, standing a full three and a half feet at his shoulder, his shadow across Tahti. "What will Risen say, Tahti?"

Tahti/Aurinka

Tahti growled savagely, recoiling herself. "I am as much a Shadow Haunter as I always was. You have harmed my daughter, and I am simply being a mother." She circled around the larger canine. "I am sure Risen would have done the same thing to you if you hurt her daughter, vile serpent! Even if she was a Shadow Lurker. My children are off limits to you." Then she struck out again, this time for his throat.

Aurinka kept her distance, watching Tahti 'handle' the situation.

Windsong

Windsong dodged Tahti assualt. "Point. A mother will always be a mother. I have no control over your anger." Windsong snarled. "My question is, why have you not returned to the Shadow Haunters." Windsong nodded to Tahti, fangs barred, he wasn't afraid of her attacks, she was a coyote, he was a wolf. "I'll keep my distance with your...children." Windsong snarled tartly.

Tahti/Aurinka

Tahti shook her head and lowered her voice so only Windsong and Aurinka could hear. "I am undercover. I am letting the pets think I am on their side. When the time is right, I and my many children and allies will attack and kill the humans and all their pets." She explained, now relaxing as the wolf promised to stay away from her children.

Aurinka looked at Windsong. "Now take me to see Desmon." She ordered, fangs bared.

Windsong

"Okay..." Windsong replied, turning to Aurinka. "Come. Your mother has work to do. Tahti, good luck." Windsong led Aurinka away to the temple.

Tahti/Aurinka

Tahti nodded, but didn't smile. She slowly walked back to where Kong and the others were, sighing.

Aurinka barely wagged her tail as she followed Windsong.
