Tahti

Tahti slowly walked closer to the house, keeping to the shadows. She had just gotten protection, she assumed, by winning over two males. And she was going to have more children as well. She would start an army. All who had wronged her would pay. But that could wait for a while. For now, she just had to worry about making friends with the others who lived here. She took a deep breath and approached Kong. "I've decided to join your pack. I hope you'll accept me." Surprisingly, she wasn't her arrogant self right now. At least it didn't show. The evil smirk was replaced with a softer smile.

Kong, Tommy, Snake, & Surjay

Kong was not at all pleased about the two new strays that found their way to his group. If it were up to him, he'd have them both slaughtered. But it was Ethan's decision. And since Ethan was gone, Kong had to wait for his master's return before he could do anything drastic. Furious brown eyes glared at the coyote mother, "That's up to my master to decide. But I'll warn you; if you cause any trouble until then, I'll kill you."

Tommy had followed Tahti a short ways before settling down against the side of the house. He wasn't exactly the best parental material, or a great 'mate' for that matter.

Snake and Surjay, two of Tommy's four offspring, came bounding towards Tahti. They had heard that they were going to have some more brothers and sisters soon. "You must be our new mommy!" Snake yipped, tail waving merrily. Unlike the others in his litter, Snake was deaf in his left ear.

Surjay padded up beside his brother, pricked ears focused towards Tahti. "What's your name? I'm Surjay, and this is Snake."

Tahti

Tahti continued to smile and dipped her head in 'respect.' "I'll behave like one of you." A spoiled flea-bitten mutt. She replied warmly. Of course, the kindness was all fake. Her tail began to wag when the pups ran to her, whether she liked it or not. "I'm Tahti, daughter of Tia and Kuu, and I hope I'll be joining your pack." She looked down at the hybrids with that one eye of hers.

Kong, Tommy, Snake, & Surjay

Kong gave a gruff snort, before turning away from Tahti and heading for the woods. He'd keep his eyes on her for sure.

Snake's tail was waving happily as he looked up at her. Unlike the peaceful Surjay, he carried a lot of his mother's blood. Son of Aleu, La Refugia del Valle, his taste for human blood was as great as Kong's taste for wolven blood. It wouldn't be long before the young hybrid would begin to turn on his human masters.

Surjay sat down, looking Tahti over, "What happened to your other eye, Tahti?"

Tahti

Tahti looked down at Surjay and frowned as he spoke. "A wolf by the name of Kalaber took my eye out, right before he stole my son from me." She replied sorrowfully. There was no point in lying, she thought. That wouldn't help them trust her.

Snake & Surjay

His eyes grew wide as he listened to this, "That's horrible! Did you... get your son back?" Surjay asked.

Snake tilted his head to the side, looking at Tahti's face and grimacing as he thought of the pain it must have caused. "Did you bite his eyes out? I would have!" The youngster rumbled defiantly.

Tahti

Tahti didn't like this conversation very much "My son was murdered. A tiger killed him in cold blood. A tiger who was allied to Kalaber." She tried as hard as she could to be strong, but a tear rolled down her face. She turned to Snake and managed to smile. "I would have, but I am much weaker than him." And then it hit her. Before she left this group, perhaps they could attack Kalaber's pack. She needed revenge.

Snake & Surjay

"Killed? That's horrible, I'm so sorry to hear that!" Surjay said, being much more mature in mind than his brother. "We'll make sure that never happens again!"

Snake nodded his head eagerly, "Yah, when we get bigger, we'll kill him! And Kalaber!" He stated boldly, not even knowing who Kalaber was.

Tahti

Tahti smiled evilly when the pups spoke. Her plan was working. Kalaber would pay. "When you are bigger, we will all kill Kalaber." She replied with a return of happiness.

Snake & Surjay

Snake grinned ear to ear, "Yeah, we'll bite out his eyes! And see how he likes it!" For not knowing Tahti very long, Snake and quickly gone to her side. "So uh.... what is Kalaber? Is he a big tiger or something?"

Surjay was not so much for the violence, so his enthusiasm wasn't quite as marked as his brother's. Instead, he sat down and listened passively to the excited rambling of his brother.

Tahti

Tahti kept that smile of hers as she looked down at the pups. "Kalaber is a wolf. He is the nephew of my son. The beast attacked his own uncle!" And now she dropped the smile as the memories returned.

Snake & Surjay

Surjay seemed absolutely horrified by what Tahti said, and couldn't imagine how anyone could attack their own blood. He just shook his head in dismay at it all.

Snake raised his head and tail, bristling his fur along his back to make himself look more 'tough'. "A wolf? Ha! A piece of cake!" The hybrid replied, feeling invincible at the moment. LIttle did he know just how many allies Kalaber had.

Tahti/Lupe/Lucy/Predator/Tainted

Tahti was about to speak up when she heard a voice from behind her. "Hey Mom!" Lucy called out to Lupe. "Is it alright if the new pups and I meet Ethan's pack?" Lupe nodded. "Of course." She said with a smile, turning to face Kong and the others. "This is my daughter, Lucy, and her orphan friends, Predator and Tainted." The foxhound said politely, pointing out each of the three pups as she spoke.

Tahti stepped back when she saw Predator and Tainted. Could it be?... Of course not. Her children could not track her down. And then Lupe said their names. Tahti whined softly. Tainted turned around to face the coyote. "What are you whining about, bone-wolf?" She hissed. Tahti, not wanting to hurt her daughter, simply shook her head. "Just remembering something..." She wanted so badly to put that evil pup in her place. But Tainted was her daughter. Despite what others thought, she loved her children. "Well keep your memories to yourself. Stupid coyote..." Tainted shot back. Tahti finally snapped. "Hey! You're part coyote too!" And then she sunk down. What had she done? She feared that the secret was out. Tahti never was really good at keeping things to herself. Tainted narrowed her eyes. "How would you know?!" She snarled. Tahti raised her hackles. "I'm your mother, tiny pup. You are a daughter of Tahti and Luke." Tainted edged closer to Lucy. "What's she talking about?" She asked in a whisper. Lucy shrugged. "Beats me."

Kong, Tommy, Snake, & Surjay

Kong dipped his head and gave a gruff reply, "Nice to meet you." It didn't sound all that sincere, but he was civil enough about it.

Daisy was more polite, and wagged her tail as she made a reply, "A pleasure to meet you all. I'll have to take you out hunting some time." She invited. To her, everything revolved around hunting and pleasing the humans.

Snake furrowed his brow, "You don't know who your parents are?" Truthfully, he didn't remember much of his own mother, Aleu, but that didn't cross his mind at the moment.

Surjay could feel the tension rise, and quickly spoke up in hopes of quelling any future violence, "Do you guys wanna play?"

Tahti

Lucy smiled and wagged her tail. "I am Lucy, daughter of Wolfe and Lupe." She said cheerfully.

Tainted continued to stare at Tahti. "I don't know who you are, coyote, but you're scaring me." She grumbled. Tahti forced herself to calm down as she spoke. "Look at your sister. Look at Predator. She looks a lot like me, doesn't she? And you, Tainted, you look like your father." She replied softly. Tainted turned around hesitantly to look at her sister. "You...you look like the coyote..." She said confusedly. Tahti smiled. "Predator, you were adopted into the Avengers pack by Kalaber, were you not? And Tainted, you were adopted by Avril. Another member of the same pack." She said, almost in a whisper. Tainted stared at the coyote, not knowing whether to love her or hate her. "So you're...my mother?" She stuttered. Tahti nodded. Predator stood next to her sister and stared at Tahti as well. "Wow..." She simply said.

Lucy was the only one who heard Surjay's question. "Sure! I'll play!" She exclaimed, leaping at the other pup.

Tommy, Snake, & Surjay

Kong narrowed his eyes slightly, not hiding his disgust for the coyote mother and her feral offspring. It was bad enough having a half-bred like Tommy in the ranks. Unable to stomach the situation any more, the massive brute stalked away from the group.

Surjay growled playful and launched himself foward to meet Lucy's leap. He batted his paws at her face and made mock bites at her fur.

Snake was more curious in the conversation between Tahti and her children, "Oh, she's your mom? What happened to you when you were little? Did your master separate you?" He inquirred. The humans had separated him from his own mom, and his other two siblings.
