.aleu
the slender white wolf stood beside the fence of her kennel, anxiety and anger coursing through her taut muscles. she was lean, for the winter takes a toll on the wild lupines. her hind leg was stiff and seemed to be slightly propped as she stood there, having halted her endless pacing momentarily. drawing a deep breath of the cold winter air, aleu winced slightly. her ribs were still quite bruised from the beating she'd taken, and it made her angry. bristling, she stiffly turned away from the fence, continuing her constant pacing, eyes narrowed, searching for any weaknesses in the fence where she could escape...
Ben & Tommy
Tommy lay placidly in the center of his kennel, his dark gaze trailing after Aleu as she paced. He didn't want to dash her hopes with the news that these fences were pretty much escape-proof, so he kept quite and simply watched.
It was quite some time before another human visitor came to the kennels. This one was shorter and younger than the burly Tom, with piercing blue eyes that stood out more than any other feature. As the man approached the cages at a brisk pace, Tommy scrambled to his feet, all dullness wiped from his face. "Aleu! This is him... Ben. You can show your true colors if you wish, but keep in mind what I said about biting." The hybrid warned, turning shifty eyes to the man.
Ben stopped in front of Aleu's pen, looking over the lean, battered wolf with keen scrutiny. He then looked to Tommy, whereupon the hybrid so uncharacteristically dropped his own gaze and lowered his ears.
The man's head tilted up just slightly as the faintest of grins krept across his lean lips. Focusing again on Aleu, Ben stepped even closer to the cage, so that he was just out of reach of her jaws if she were to snap through the chainlinks of the fencing.
.aleu
the white wolf knew that tommy was watching her, and deep down she knew this was nearly hopeless. but still, she had to find a way! suddenly, the man's movement caught her attention. narrowing her dark eyes, she stood perfectly still, watching the man as he neared the kennel. who was this? she wondered... although almost the instant she thought that, tommy warned her. oh, so this was ben. pulling her upper lip back in a wicked scowl, she turned away from the fence. the lupine slowly walked towards the back of the kennel, watching ben over her shoulder, exuding an aura of disdain. whoa, now she's getting arrogant on us. the wolf sat back on her haunches, back to the wall, watching ben. what now, son?
Ben & Tommy
The man stood their for a long moment, simply observing his captive and thinking over something. After a moment, Tommy became uneasy and paced to the back of his cage as well.
When several long moments had passed, a decision had apparently been formed. Taking a few quick strides to Tommy's kennel, Ben entered and went straight for the fencing that separated the two canines. Carrying a small baton-like weapon on his side just in case the wolfess should get fiesty, the man began to undo the clasped the held the fencing up. Working at a rapid pace, he soon had all of the clasps taken off. Then he peeled back the fencing, so that Aleu and Tommy now had direct contact with each other.
Placing a hand on the baton, Ben hurridly exited the cage through Tommy's door and locked it back up. And just as soon as he had came, the man left.
Tommy had stayed in the back of his cage, watching what the strange human was doing, and being quite baffled by it all. Was he suppose to fight with Aleu or something? That didn't make sense... if he wanted them to fight, wouldn't he stay to watch? "Well... looks like we just got a bigger kennel." The hybrid said akwardly, hoping that their previous conversations had put him on good levels with the legendary, so that she wasn't inclined to attack.
