Nicole/Jake/Fox

Fox raced into the house and barked at his owners and the new dogs. "There's a mean wolf outside!" He barked, then ran back out. Nicole, of course, could not understand a word her dog said, but it seemed urgent. She ran to the basement, grabbed a gun, then raced after Fox.

Jake sighed and looked out the window. Nothing looked odd to him.

Hearing the call of Fox, both dogs growled and bounded after him and their master, their guarding instinct kicking in.
