She drove the truck up the gravel drive softly singing to the rock music that played quietly. She didnt try to make conversation with Conan, she would let him speak if he wanted. As they arrived at the farm she parked the truck and hopped out moving quietly to the back of the trailer. She let the ramp down and entered moving quietly and slowly making soft noises to the albino stallion that loomed inside. As she neared him her smile grew wider and she held out another sugar cube to him. "Your gonna be spoiled rotten by the time I'm done with you." She whispered softly to him. She untied the great stallion and led him out of the trailer with a soft smile on her face. She knew of a pen where she could put him. Inferno was to be her new project. But first she would leave him here so that she and Conan could go catch Ammit once more.
Conan never spoke. Aralyn had been kind, but he had grown up with people who were kind for a while before... well never mind. He was still watching her, waiting for her to turn on him, to be like all the others. When the truck jerked to a halt he got out, trotting over toward the spare pen to start setting up. He began to lay down new hay and put out good feed, turning the spigot to cause clean, fresh water to flow into the trough. Work was something safe, something familiar. But those blue eyes never left Aralyn and Inferno for long.
The albino brute pushed away from the female at first till he saw teh sweet cube in his hands. Already she had won some small part of him with that treat and her smooth calming voice. He followed her the moment he was out though and he saw the open lands he let loose a loud call. He crow hopped at the end of his lead and tossed his massive skull. He didn't do anything to hurt the female but he felt a little shy and halted before entering the pen and stood there with a look that seemed to say =you want me in there?=
And he took a page from Aralyn's book, beginning to sing in a low, true baritone.
Come along, long love...
Come fly away, fly son
Come along, long love...
Fly away home.
Summer's on the wind
Sun rises flamin' high
Soar ta meet the mornin'
Alight to the sky
Come along, long love...
Fly away home...
as the man came to him he shied he had enough of man. Then he began to sing to this caught the brute unaware and snorted confused and looked to the female so they both could sing. he moved away and moved past the gate and into the pasture and stood there looking at it just itching to run.
The boy froze as the horse shied, still speaking softly. Not a man's horse, then, are ya? Can't say as I blame ya after that brute. Not a problem by me. And he moved slowly aside, moving out of the fellow's way so he could run as he pleased.
to himself he thought no I am not a man's horse. What have I gotten from your kind. his orbs drifted to the female she though I can deal with. with that the brute waited for her to take of his lead rope since she still held it. his crown dropped down to snap at some grass but as soon as the clip was off he would be gone.
She smiled at the two and took of the stallions lead rope. "FLY!" She said in a firm voice that was louder then her most previous tones. With that she turned away but she called back to the magnificent stallion "Mb
He watched as the horse was set free, though he turned his head to Aralyn as she spoke. Yeah, I'll look after him. Soon's I find Ammit, I'll be back. I promise. Mayhap by the time ya get back, what with me feedin him an such, mayhap he'll at least get used ta me. And he smiled softly, kind of awkward but sweet, before turning away to head to the prarie.
the brute was gone the tones of the females added to his joy his leggs ached to race and so he did he let a few wild bucks fly through the air when he was done a thin film of sweat had formed upon his chest cavity. he moved to the water and sniffed it finally drinking some and beginning to graze it wasn't so bad here.
