Tahmores*Elder Brother
Tahmores picked his way carefully along the path, avoiding rough ground that would jostle the wolf he carried on his shoulders. Elder Brother trotted ahead of him, eyes seeing everything. If they were attacked, Tahmores would be helpless with Taijya slung round his shoulders, so Brother kept up a diligent watch. As they game to the house, Tahmores let out a shrill, piercing whistle that he had worked months to perfect, hoping to attract either the Lady or Aralyn to help them settle the two wounded wolves in the hut.
Lady
The lady had just taken two injured wolf pups, each with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, to the back yard. She would get to them as soon as possible. Hurrying towards Tahmores, the lady inspected the injured wolfess draped about his shoulders. She knew her quite well as a wanted wolf, but it meant nothing to the elderly human. Next her old but sharp eyes turned to Tahmores, "What happened? Here, lets bring her inside..." She insisted, now moving towards the front door and opening it wide to let Tahmores enter. "Please, set her down on the table there." She nodded to the interior of the house. An old oak table stood off to the left side of the house where the kitchen area opened up. As she waited and listened, she tried to remember if she had ever seen this human before?
Jarem Wolf & Gladiator
Jarem followed Tahmores holding the injured wolf he had tried to stabilize. Waiting for where he should set her down, he looked for anyone to reply to his friend's whistle.
Gator stayed at his side the whole time, helping him navigate through the forest safely. Now he sat sat down at his master's side, rubbing his muzzle on his arm gently, though he knew he would be pet at the moment.
Tahmores*Elder Brother
Tahmores brought Taijya into the house and lay her on the table, checking to see that his bandage was still in place. He had used an herbal ointment on her torn throat to stave off infection, and the bleeding had mostly stopped, but the wolfess was weak from loss of blood. Turning to answer the Lady's question, he said, "I'm not sure. A wolf came to fetch us, and brought us to where these were." And, seeing the question in her eyes, he said, "I am Tahmores. I live at the Ranch, but have been traveling with my friend here, Jarem. Aralyn will speak for us, I am sure."
Elder Brother trotted in behind his boy, coming up close beside him as the boy unloaded his shoulders. He thrust his head up into Tahmores' left hand, begging for a scratching. The boy obliged, pulling his deft fingers through the wolf's dappled coat, all the while watching the Lady.
Jarem, Gladiator, and Jawslynn
Jarem followed Tahmores, carefully placing the wolf he carried next to the other. He flexed and unflexed his arms a couple times, backing up out of the way. An 100 or so pound animal is not easy to carry through the forest... though he wasn't necessarily weak. He smiled at the lady, dropping his arms to his sides, when he was introduced. Normally he would offer a hand, but they were a bit bloody, sweaty, and dirty. As well as it wasn't the time to chatter, so he held off. "Hello there," he then waited for any response
Gator followed up till they came to the doorway. He was well taught to never come in unless invited, and in the rush of things, he was not invited. So he sat in the doorway, waiting for something to happen.
Suddenly, Jaws could be seen rushing the porch. She pushed past Gator who gave a soft growl, placing a paw on the house floor. Ears went back as she remembered her manners and her frantic running stopped. Half in and half out her whole body was wriggling as her tail went back in forth. Ears were blacka nd tongue licking the air in a silent plead to be let in. Jarem shooed her back with a hand, rubbing her head briefly. He had missed the girl, but now wasn't the time. Now fully outside, she sat down, tail sweeping the floor as she waited.
Taijya, Magick
Taijya had had stayed limp through the walk here, and had only moved when the scent of the lady came into her nostrils, and that was a simple turn of the dial. She heard the human talk, though understood none of it. But upon being set down, magick being placed near a few moments later, she didn't bother to even look. She wanted to sleep again, tho0ugh for some reason she fought it.
Magick had also been still through the whole thing, and upon being placed on the table, her orbs ventured to look at Taijya. Then a sigh fell past ehr kissers as her emerald spheres looked up at the lady.
Lady & Spark
The lady nodded at the two humans, "Thank you for bringing them in. I'm Charlene." The old lady smiled politely, but her mind was focused on the two wolves. Gathering up her supplies, which were always somewhere near at hand, she went on to investigate their wounds. The first thing she did was administer a mild sedative and nerve-blocking drug to more or less paralyze the wolves for the time being make their bodies numb to pain. It would hopefully work to calm and put them to sleep.
Spark, the little spaniel, sat on the couch on the other side of the room. He watched the newcomers, especially the canines. He was definitely not what you'd call bold.
Lady & SparkTaijya, magick
Taijya was easily knocked out by the drug, as was Magick
Tahmores*Elder Brother
Tahmores carefully backed up out of the way, nodding as Charlene gave her name. Having lived most of his life outside, he was VERY claustrophobic, and the small room was getting crowded. Murmuring an apology and trying not to stumble as he went, he headed toward the door.
Stepping carefully over Jaws so as not to step ON her, he sat down on the porch outside: far enough to be out of the way, but close enough to hear if Jarem or Charlene requested him to do something. Sitting carefully, he reached out a hand to Brother, who had followed, also stepping ever-so carefully over Jawslynn. Brother came right up beside the boy and nudged his head under Tahmores' hand, moving forward until his body was wedged next to Tahmores, with the boy's hand slung over his back. Other than a slight trembling, the boy was fine, and smiled broadly as Brother planted a huge, sloppy, slobbery kiss on his face.
Lady
The lady trimmed away the fur on Taijya's neck, around the wound. She had seemed the weakest from blood loss. After making sure the wound was as cleaned as it could be, the lady carefully stitched up the skin, bringing the jagged edges together as neatly as possible. Now she wrapped the wolf's neck in gauze, which was laced with an odorless but extremely bitter-tasting chemical. A deterent to any friends that might help Taijya chew the wrapping off. She picked the wolf up now, straining against the weight in her advanced age, but able to manage. She laid Taijya on the ground near the door.
Now she went to work on Magick. She did much the same for her; trimming the fur, cleaning the wound, and stitching it up. But seeing as how so many muscles were damaged, the lady got out a special medication and gave her a shot of it. It would help prevent her body from going into shock from acids within the muscles themselves. Finished with that, she laid Magick down near the door as well. Both wolves were then given a series of shots; antibiotics, anti-inflamatories, and also a dose of drugs that would help prevent many types of parasites, like heartworm.
A bowl of water was set out. When they woke up, they'd need to drink plenty of water to replenish their blood-depleted bodies. A small amount of meat was also dished out.
Assuming they'd be weak for a while, she decided to keep them inside for a day or two, and then move them out to the Barn. Before she could properly speak with Tahmores or Jarem, another situation had come up outside. A good deal of growling alerted her to yet another patient. "I'm Dr. Dolittle out here." She said jokingly, trying to lighting the situation a bit. Gathering up her supplies once more, the lady headed outside.
Taijya, Magick
Taijya, the once regal fae of the purest ebon, lnow layed on the floor of a human home, her neck tightly bond with gauze to heal her wounds. They proved her foolishness, and even more so, they proved the trust she had in her partners. Had Fajebin left without the held she had assumed he would give, she would now be dead, and a horrible way for the most wanted to go.
With a twicth the fae's orbed opened, a bit blurry was her vision, but her nares were quick to lock onto the scent of meat. Slowy she pulled herself up, jaws wanting to rip at the meat , however only permiting rather polite eating style. It was strange. However she diodn't complain, she consumed her meat, finding the short way to the water bowl which she quickly lapped up. The cool liquid soothed her throat, which was rather dry.
Magick's body shifted abit as well, her eyes opening to find Taijya already tirly eating the food. "I see your still alive" A relieved smile fell upon her features as she slowly sat up, spheres wandering to look over her surroundings.
Tahmores*Elder Brother
Tahmores heard a stirring inside, and ventured back in, keeping to the edges of the room. Slidling along the edge, he picked the wall across from the wolfesses, which had a clear view of the door, and sank into a squat, watching the two femmes. There was a smile in his eyes as he saw that they would both live, though they would bear the scars for a lifetime.
Elder Brother stuck close to his boy for comfort in the close space, but Tahmores' attention was so focused on the two faes that he did not notice the tightness of his surroundings. And so Brother relaxed, allowing himself to watch them as well.
Jarem, Gladiator, and Jawslynn
Jarem stayed relaxed inside the house, leaning against one wall. Eyes followed the boy curiously as he ventured outside, but he decided not to think much on it and gave his attention back to the wolfesses. With Jaws still hanigng out at the doorframe (she had tried to lick Tahmores as he went outside and was now back) he decided to invite her in and softly called her to his side. She came with a bound and he kneeled down to pet her and ruffle up her fur. Gator gave a bit jealous look but he did nothing, even going to the corner of the prch and laying down, front paws hanging off the side. Even with his human friend coaxing he did not like going inside. Too close.
Jarem sent jaws out again as the two wolfs woke up, watching them wake with a gentle smile.
Taijya, Magick
"Just barely" Rather hoarse vocals spoke out, low and more alto then usual. In a few days her normal voice would return, just as her energy would return with it. Taijya looked slowly to the one's who observed them, though she showed no aggression. Only a fool would do so. The humans had saved her, and even if she wished to fight, she would lose horribly in her state. She had been foolish once, never again.
Magick nodded to Taijya's words, figuring something like her lower voice would occur from her throat injury. With a shake of her dial her eyes slowly closed then opened once more, nares slowly twitching.
Tahmores*Elder Brother
Tahmores continued to let his eyes smile as the wolfesses conversed, absent-mindedly scratching Brother's back. Brother eyed both, and spoke quietly. So I guess we're beneath your notice then, huh? You haven't tried to kill us yet. It wasn't a taunting question, just a verification of what he saw, his tone one of mild interest. Still, remembering who he was speaking to, he maintained his place beside his boy, not wanting to make them angry. From what he knew of the wolfess Taijya, if she was angry she might attack, though she could not win against two perfectly healthy dogs and two armed humans. Still, he knew that Taijya was not stupid, and thought she knew when to keep her place, and so was not overly concerned.
Taijya, Magick
Taijya lust glanced towards the wolf who had spoken, not a word spoken back. However she did seem to perk up some, making herself seem less vulnerable.
Magick looked to the wolf, her strength more then Taijya's. A soft growl was expelled from her lips as she spoke. "Don't press your luck" the fae hissed, lips curling back only a bit, though she didn't move amuscle to stand or anything else. She wouldn't attack, not now, not in the future. Unless one of these two threatened her life, she would not take a chance to atack either. The human had saved Taijya, and for that they had her mercy.
Taijya's harks twitched at Magicks words, tiara slowly moving so that she could look at her. A strange look was given before she turned back, eyes set on the boy. "Why did he save me?" She questioned her hoarse voice very quiet, questioning the wolf by his side.
Tahmores*Elder Brother
Elder Brother heard Magic's threat, and ignored it. He knew very well she stood little chance against him now, but still he kept one ear perked for trouble. Hearing Taijya speak, he replied quietly, smiling just a touch, which was accomplished with a slight twitch of tail and a certain squint to the eyes. It is his way. Tahmores was raised by my pack, and always thinks first of how to help canine brethren. Even though he recognized you from the attacks at the Ranch, he is first a wolf, then a human. If he had not helped, you would have died. That decided the matter for him. In fact, he thought to himself, I've had to get us out of several predicaments caused by his insatiable need to help. He shook his head, smiling as he remembered how very young his boy was.He saved you because you needed saving.
Tahmores saw the wolfess lay eyes on him, and kept his mouth closed, hands away from his dagger. He did not speak, seeing she was in conversation with Brother, but watched interestedly, waiting to see what would happen.
Taijya
She nodded to the brutes words, allowing her bod to slip onto the floor. Dial was laid pon her ped, a sigh released. Even the little bit of motion she had made had caused her to be ready to fall back asleep.
