Nana

Nana padded onto the Woodland Farm area with a pup in her jaws. Another Border collie, but alot younger. She stopped next to the porch and sat the pup down, then she hurried to the door and started scratching it and barking. Then she trotted back down to Spirited and she sat next to him, licking his small head.

Spirited

Spirit continued to whimper as he was carried here by Nana. Where was his adoptive mother? He continued to let out shrill squeaks and noises when he was sat down. He tried to shut up but he still whimpered with his mouth closed. He watched Nana scratch at the door and he tilted his head. Once she started licking his head he looked at her and laid down, forgetting about his broken leg at the moment. He enjoyed the gentle caressment of her warm tounge.

Tahmores*Elder Brother

Elder Brother heard the whines and barks, and came forward. He was cautious, but smiled at the pup. He liked pups. However, his smile changing to a scowl of concern as he noted the odd angle of the pup's leg. He spoke to Nana. "Goodness. Hold on let me get my boy." And he ran off, bringing Tahmores back with him. Tahmores approached cautiously. He was not the Lady, but he knew how to set the bone if Nana would let him near the pup. Dropping to all fours he stretched out a hand to be sniffed.

Spirited

Spirited stayed where he was, mouth open wide as he looked from the wolf to the new human. His eyes held the slight look of fear as he slowly edged closer to Nana, still whimpering every time he felt the shocking pain in his broken leg.

Nana

Nana watched cautiously as the new human stretched out a hand. She slowly moved forward to sniff at it, nose quivering intently. She then pulled back, looking from the boy to the wolf. She then looked down at the pup, then to Tahmores, giving him a faint look of the word ‘help’ as she looked up at him, still being wary of any tricks that could be pulled.

Tahmores

Tahmores smiled without his teeth, and reached to the pup, careful to avoid the broken leg. He moved slowly so as not to startle the little one, and if the pup started to back away, he would freeze.

Spirited

Spirited looked at the hand with a confused expression. He didn't move, or do anything, but he only kept his eyes following the hand. His head was tilted a bit to the side as he started to forget about his broken leg.

Tahmores

Tahmores smiled a little again, and brought his hand up to scratch the small ears gently. "There now little one," he said, keeping his tone light and low, "I won't hurt you. Let me fix that leg?"

Spirited

Spirited kept his little beady eyes on the hand but when then he pushed against it when the human scratched his ear. He yawned and then turned his head so he could sniff the hand. Then he looked at Nana, curiousness showing in his eyes.

Tahmores

Tahmores smiled that toothless smile, and laughed softly. Pups were so funny. He ruffled the ears gently and gave the pup a good thorough scratching, going from ears down his neck and across the back. Then, anxious to look at that foot, he went to scoop up the pup, though he carefully avoided touching the broken limb.

Spirited

Spirited pushed into the hand again, enjoying the carressment. She had never felt human hands before in his life; at least none like this. He came from a bunch of pups in a box. They were for free, so anyone could take them. He had been taken by some other Border collie, but he couldn't remember her name... Ah, it would come back to him sooner or later. As the human scooped him up, he slightly whimpered, but then stayed quiet, partly wanting to know what was going on.

Tahmores

The teen continued to scratch the pup's ears, seeing that he enjoyed it, and carried the pup inside, leaving the door open so that the older dog could com ein if she wanted. He set the pup on a low table and began to gather supplies to bind the broken limb: a splint, some linen bandages, and just a little bit of a topical numbing ointment, which would numb the leg just long enough for him to bind it without the pup feeling too much pain.

Finding all of these things, Tahmores set to work. Being very gentle and always moving slowly, he rubbed the ointment into the leg, and wrapped a little padding around it. Then he set the splint to the limb, and wrapped a layer of bandage around that so that the splint would stay in place. All this time he murmured soflty and scratched the pup's ears whenever he had a free hand.
