Serena

-> A hybrid with a Border Collie, Gray Wolf, Shiba-Inu, and Akbash Dog heritage trotted along at a swift pace. Her age was only 3, but she was already of medium size and was said she wouldn't grow any bigger. She kept her white muzzle pointing upward and her tail low as she padded nearby the house, not noticing it yet. If she knew she was in a human area, she would have been gone by now, at the fastest pace she could reach with her swift body. She despised humans, of all types. It would be very hard for one to gain her trust and friendship, since she was one to be aggressive alot, just about always around the two-leggeds. <-
-> The hybid was of beautiful colorings and markings: Cocoa brown with white belly, muzzle, front paws, and chest. Black facial markings, including two black dots above both eyes, and the left hind paw was black. Her right eye is steel blue, while the left is hued greenish-yellow. She had been teased much because of her eye coloring, so she kept her eyes sealed tightly sometimes, and this was a time. Her colorings and markings could be considered 'cool' by many canines and other animals. She has a slightly curled tail and a medium sized, quick body. She looked more wolf than anything else, making her easily mistaken for being a pure wild canine by most, but one could easily tell she had a bigger heritage than that. <-
-> She lowered her head to sniff at the ground, and caught the human scent quickly. But she had no real fear of them, she was just wary. She could also smell other canines, and soon bristled her fur. But soon she stumbled on a rock as she was passing by and she fell on her side. She snorted slightly and drifted off to sleep instead of getting back to a standing stance. She had not a thing wrong with her, but she was awfully hungry, but probably wouldn't take too kindly to strange canines carrying the human scent, or a human themself. Se didn't expect the find any food anywhere that was left over. She was bored and tired so she had wandered away from the wilderness to see if she could get herself into some trouble. <-

Icelit & Fawns

A white-tailed deer came padded casually into the yard, pausing now and then to throw her great, funnelled ears this way and that, and to look behind her. She spotted the hybrid and just stood there, staring at her. Two young fawns came creeping up to their mother, one nuzzling for milk while the other perked his ears up at the hybrid as well.

While most does, especially with fawns, would have turned tail, this quarky deer actually took a few steps closer, followed diligently by her youngsters, still clad in their baby spots and stripes. This doe was one of those that had been won over by humans under strange circumstances. Because of a devestating illness a while back, she had consequently lost a good deal of fear about most things. Including canines. Her fawns, taking after their mother, began to pick up on her strange ways as well.

Serena

->Serena awoke with a startle. She turned her head quickly to face the deer while growling. She was confused and yet again startled. A deer wouldn't hang around a human place. At least she hoped not.<-
->The hybrid cocked her head, remembering her human friends a long time ago when she was still just a pup. She liked humans actually, but not as much as she liked the wild. But she wondered why a deer would be around the two-leggeds. "Who are you?" she asked quizically. Her ears were planed out to the sides as she crouched down low, suddenly remembering she was hungry. But she quickly pushed the thought of attacking out of her mind. Her body was tense as she watched this scene intently.<-

Icelit & Fawns

Her tail flicked from side to side once, a gesture, among other things, to show she was at ease. "Icelit." The doe piped up, raising her head slightly at hearing the growl. "And are you a pet here? Or have you come for help?" She asked, quizing the hybrid in turn. She frequented this place so much that she knew about most things that went on around it.

The two fawns edged back, standing behind their mother. Unlike her, they still had their instincts keenly atuned. They knew a growl, although they've never heard one before, must be something dangerous. Something about Serena frightened them.

Serena

->Serena looked around. She watched the moving tail with much curiousity, having not met a deer before. She raised her nose to the sky to catch Icelit's scent, which was new to Serena. She started to thump her tail on the ground a bit before answering, "I am Serena. And the answer to your question is neither. I am a pet of no one, and haven't been around humans since I was a tiny little pup. And I have not come for help, but have just stumbled apon the land." She looked around to see if anyone was coming. She hoped nobody would just yet. She eyed the fawns curiuosly.<-

Icelit & Fawns

Icelit moved closer now, flaring her glistening nose to take in more of the creature's scent, "So just a passerby, huh? Are you knew to this place? I mean the Valley?" The doe inquired further, always happy to have someone to chat with. Her close proximity to humans, and especially canines, made other does shun her for the most part.

The doe fawn stood stone-still, feeling fear rise and her stomach tighten. She just couldn't place it, but this creature brought fear! Even Starlit, the hybrid whom her mother often spoke with, frightened her.

The little buck fawn, on the other hand, wasn't nearly so scared. Being a male deer, he wasn't as flighty. Which was good and bad, depending on the situation. He inched forward, coming as far as his mother's shoulder in order to get a better look at Serena.
