Fajebin
The brute padded slowly into the area, plume held low and swaying a somewhat content way. this place did not bother him, and he showed no shame in venturing here. His orbs searched for Starlit, the canine he had befriended here upon his first visit.
Starlit Eyes
The hybrid was laying in the grass beside the porch, enjoying the relative peace that had decended lately. Not many wolves coming for help. But now a slightly familiar figure caught her eye, bringing Starlit quickly to her feet. Where she would normally greet a wolf with caution and dominance, Starlit stood alert and curious, remembering this brute from his last visit. The scent of the Ranch could be detected on him, but again, Starlit didn't consider her business to question such things.
Fajebin
The brute padded towards the fae, having talked to her a few times, and now considering her a friend like figure. Though Whisper would be far from approving, he carde not for his sisters opinion in his choice of friends. His mug opened a bit to allow his tones to be sent towards Starlit Eyes. "Hey..." As his peds drew him closer he added more to his speech. "How have you and your human been?" This was the only time anyone could catch him caring even in the slightest about any human. the lady had saved him, and healed his now dead brother. She had earned his respect, and his protecftion need be.
Starlit Eyes
"Pretty well, actually." Starlit replied in a light tone, partly concealing her great joy at having someone to talk to. Usually other came for help, then left. Ever since her good friend Flurry left, Starlit had little to talk too. "How about yourself?" She sniffed at him again, getting the stronger scent of cattle, "Having fun at the Ranch?" she quized with a small grin.
Fajebin
The brute nodded to her response, pausing at her question, not really replying till her second one was issued. Fun was not exactly the word. Having his brother die wasn't considered fun. And having his sister unbothered by it wasn't fun. But could... WOULD Fajebin confide this all within a human pet? Part of him said no, you can't. The other half told him yes. His mind tore at him till his vocals were finally released. "Fun doesn't describe it Starlit." A sigh fell from his maw before his rump hit the earth. Though he was normally the tough guy, he did have some feeling, unlike Whisper. Skittles had been his brother, whom he had cared for in some way. He hated being so vulnerable, and yet he couldn't help feeling like this. For the first time the brutes features were not so sure and determined, instead he held a puppy like expression of loneliness and abandonment.
Starlit Eyes
Quickly, she detected that something was amiss. Realizing she must have struck upon something bad, she lowered her head just faintly as if signaling that she would drop the subject. The hybrid studied his features more closely, without being to obtrusive, and was drawn in by the look that was carried in them. It was something more than her desire to help and console others that drew her in... but she wasn't sure.
Starlit stepped closer in a comforting manner before setting back on her haunches. "Is there something wrong?" she questioned in a truely conserned tone.
Fajebin
His dial turned to look at the fae, his hazel sphere surpirsed her concern was given to him. Like someone he had known forever he opened his soul to her, ignoring the half of him that told him he should not.
"Skittles, my brother, whom ur master healed. The foolish brute, he came to aid the raid on the humans. Got himself killed in the process. Stupid stupid idiot."
It was funny how his words never formed complete sentences, though the situation left no room for laughter. The brute whom was alway so serious and so commited to killing was generaly sad.
"She will die..."
Those were his last tone, though unlike before, an icy layer formed over his tones, enough to send a tingle up any spine. But he seemed to catch himself because a sigh fell from him and he looked to her for a moment, as if checking to see if she was hated him now for some strange reason.
Starlit Eyes
She was silent for a moment, understanding the pain of loss, but never had she been vengeful. Maybe if she had lived a wild life her ways would be different, but too long has she lived with her beloved master and picked up on her caring ways. Starlit turned her eyes down, "It's probably not much consolation," she began, carefully, "But I am sorry for your loss..."
The hybrid studied him again, listening to his tones and holding back a shiver at what he said and sounded. "Revenge." she murmured quietly, looking a little troubled, but then offering a small, sympathetic smile, "Is it worth it?" She inquired, trying to see through his eyes and what he thinks of it.
Fajebin
he listened to her, but at her last question he snaped angerly. "Of course it is!" As he said this he fell silent, feeling bad for snapping at the only human pet he could stand. A sigh fr=ell from his jaws before his spheres softened and he looked out towards the bushes. "I disliked her before... now I hate her. She killed my brother, and she will die, be it me or Whisper. But unlike i... Whisper has no feelings for Skittle's death. In fact... I have the feeling she wished his death deep within. But I suppose it matters not... I know He will be revenged, be it the right reason or not."
The hunter looked to Starlit shakin his dial at himself. "I am sorry if my hatred of humans disturbs you. But only your human has gained respect from me, and for that she is the only one I can stand and would fight for. The others wel..." He figured she had the picture.
Starlit Eyes
She pulled her ears back at the sharp first reply, knowing again she had mentioned the wrong thing. But, well, she could understand the anger in a way. Slowly her auds swiveled forward, seeing the softening of his gaze. She ventured again with a reply, "I can understand that. Loosing a brother... it must be very hard." Starlit consoled.
Now she gave a small, almost meek smile, "Your hatred of humans is probably well founded, and it's not in my place to question that." She was deeply alieved to hear his respect for her own master, and it lifted a considerable weight off of her. Protecting the Lady was her most important job, and that's why she had little friends from the wild. Hoping to strike a note of interest with him, she brought up a story from her past, "It might be strange to hear from me, but I've nearly killed a human myself. They were hunters and they tried to kill a good friend of mine. One man got his arm ripped off." Starlit grimaced slighly at the memory; it wasn't her that ripped the guy's arm off; it was Galar. But she and her other friend, Flurry, had assauled the man as well.
Fajebin
The brute took an interest in Starlit's story yet he couldn't imagine her harming a human. It amazed and facianted him, and as she spoke on his harks because more erect to catch all the sounds she let out.
"You? I am sorry but you do not portray yourself as one who would harm a human. Though I suppose we all change our normal mind state when a ... friend is in trouble"
Starlit Eyes
She flashed a sheepish smile, looking down, "Yes, many wouldn't believe it. But I put my friends and the Lady before any other humans." Starlit looked up then, "But I payed a price for it. I brought unwanted attention to the Lady. My wolf friend and I were sent away for a few days, to the Wolf Center. But I suppose it was all worth it. As powerful humans are with manipulating things..." she furrowed her brows, looking away for a moment, "They are terribly weak in a physical sense. Those humans wilted under our fangs like helpless fawns. If it weren't for their metal sticks, we could have killed them with ease." She shook her head then, "I'm going too far. Have you ever... killed anyone?"
Fajebin
The brute listened to her words, nodding where he felt nessicary, his hazel eyes watching Starlit carefuly. As she questioned him he was quick to respond, not ashamed of the answer he would give. "Yes, i've killed a human before. I've attacked others as well..." He was silent for a moment before again speaking, feeling as though this would be an odd subject to speask of with a pet. "So um... how is your deer friend?"
Starlit Eyes
She his a slight anxiety upon hearing his response, although she somewhat expected to hear that sort of answer. As long as he was no danger to the Lady, Starlit didn't hold any liking to other humans, unless her master showed care for them. Now her eyes lit up a bit, happy for a change of subject, "Quite well, actually. She had twin fawns." Starlit announced proudly, "Although... one of them seems a bit strange. The little female." Starlit shook her head lightly, "With all that Icelit went through, I guess it's no surprise that her fawns might be a little... different."
Fajebin
Surprisingly this subject interested him more then he thought it may. His harks stood perked, listening as he nodded. Prey animals were thought of by him normaly as just that, food. Neevr had he imagined one as a friend to any canine. But he supposed this fae was different, and hadn't grown up in the wild as he had. "Oh?"
Starlit Eyes
She nodded, gazing towards the timberline, "She's an interesting one. She came inside the house once, when the lady was gone. Spark and I had a heck of a time trying to get her out. She ate a good deal of herbs and other plants that the Lady had around the house." Starlit shook her head at the thought. "Have you met Galar before?" the hybrid asked suddenly. This was a very good, long-time friend of hers that she always liked to introduce to others.
Fajebin
His dial shook as the question was asked, having heard the name before but neving meeting the creature. "The name is familiar, though the one owning it is unknown to my sights.
