Isabella Wayson
Isabella had found a few more mares to join in her growing herd of horses. So far, she had three horses. Two of which she had brought from back home and one that she had rescued from the local rescue society. Well, she had recently found a Clydesdale, a Norwegian Fjord, and a Lusitano that she would be introducing in to the herd of mares.
The guy who was delivering them had just called, saying that he was getting close, so she decided that she might as well go outside and wait for them to arrive. As she went outside, she let the dogs out too. There were a lot of dogs here, most of them rescues along with the three she had brought with her and then their three six month old puppies. Then she had all of the dogs that she had rescued at the local animal shelter.
So, as she waited she watched as all of the canines pretty much did their own thing, taking time to pet the ones that approached her and asked for her attention...
Trailer
The Four horse trailer approached and cut the engine. The women inside hopped out and smiled at her.HelloShe said as she undid the back of the trailer. She got down to buisness and backed Barry Janis Lucy out and handed her to the women.Barry Janis Lucy or just Lucy She spoke calmly.
She then back out Dazzling Bar Yazula and tied her lead to the hitch on the trailer. Dazzling Bar Yazula or just YaziShe spoke then got the last one.
The last one to be backed out was the 6 month old Lusitano Running water Laya. She handed her lead rope as well to the women.Running water Laya or just laya She spoke and then got the clydesdale lead rope again. I do hope you have a big enough stall She smiled patting the 18 hand clydesdale mare.
Marrietta the paint watched from her pasture. Her nostrils flaring.
Isabella Wayson
Isabella smiled to the woman as she spoke, saying hello. Then the woman began to unload the mares and the foal, she did so with very little conversation so Isabella stayed relatively silent herself. She took the lead ropes that were handed to her, first the rope of the Norwegian Fjord and then the lead of the little Lusitano filly. The woman took the big Clydesdale's rope. Luckily, the stalls in this place were very large, like they were made to house larger breeds of horses, so they were safe there.
Yes, I'm sure the stalls will be plenty big enough. If you don't mind, I would like to put them in the pasture with the other mares for the day, so they can blend with the herd as soon as possible.
She thought that this would make the horses feel at home the quickest. So she approached the gate, leading the two horses over to the gate, opening it easily as she held both leads in one hand for a moment. She then lead the horses in the the large paddock, Dazzle immediately approached them, Hello, I'm Dazzle She was the leader of the little herd, though she was also very friendly....
Marietta
Marietta kept her distance her neck arched and her ears back. She didn't see Dazzle as her leader. She shook her head and rearedu p and then took off running.
The lady nodded and lead the clydesdale to the pasture. She let her go. She bid her farewell handed her the lead rope and then left.
The fjord mare snorted and sniffed at the other mare. That was the only thing however.
The clydesdale mare walked off as ssoon as released.
The foal snorted and tossed her head.
Isabella Wayson
Isabella knew that Marietta had not yet fully matched into the herd that she thought she would with her other mare, Dazzle. The reason she had rescued the mare was as a friend for her lonely mare, but it seemed that she really had nothing to do with the other mare, maybe at least one of these others would serve as a friend for the Lippizaner mare.
She stood leaning against the outside of the fence as she watched to see how the others would fit in with the others. She saw that Marietta kept her distance from all of the others, then she reared up and ran farther away from the others... The big Clydesdale mare just walked off, not paying any of the others much mind.
At least the Fjord mare sniffed at Dazzle who was still trying to be friendly. She was used to a herd type life and had not had that since she had gotten here... She was not the solitary type. The foal snorted, just standing by the fence where she was released. Bella clicked her tongue to see if the foal would approach the fence.
Lucy, Yazi, Laya
Lucy nipped at Dazzle testing her reaction. Then she would shake her head and slowly walked toward some hay and lipped at it and threw her head in the air sending the small bale into the air and flying back to the ground.
Yazi watched Marietta and snorted. I knew i could take all these horses on if they tried to boss me around but I also knew I could hurt them so i stuck to myself and grazed.
Laya was sniffing the ground when she heard the clicking and her head shot up and she stared at bella and then approached her mouthing like many foals did which meant she was small and she harmless.
Isabella Wayson
Dazzle snorted as the other mare nipped at her and she returned the nip, or tried to. It was a natural reaction for horses. If another nipped at you then you either nipped back, kicked at them, or let them believe they were the boss. Well, Dazzle went with the first option. She tried to land a sharp nip at the other's shoulder before she turned away. The other mare then walked away, Dazzle just let her walk away as she lowered her head to graze.
Isabella smiled as the foal approached her with just a click of her tongue. This one would probably be a very friendly one. That was good. Isabella held her hand out to slowly stroke the filly's neck.
Lucy, Yazi, Laya
Lucy had moved just in time to avoid the nip but felt the breeze and she cow kicked at her and tossed her dial and reared up slightly.
Yazi head shot up and she snorted.
Laya ignored the bickering and closed her eyes as the women scratched her neck.
Marietta snorted nad rared in the distance and lashed at the air.She was a herd animal like the rest but unless she was declared the lead mare she always ended up causing trouble.
Isabella Wayson
Dazzle luckily had moved just a step or two away to get to better grass when the other mare had kicked at her, luckily the mare missed. Though, the breeze caused by the hoof caused the grey mare to rear up and lash out at the air with her front hooves, the other mare was already far enough off that there was no chance of her being hit. She snorted and then she glared at the other for a moment before going back to grazing.
Isabella knew that there would be bickering within the new herd at first, though hopefully they would soon settle things and they would all get along. The only problem was that it seemed like she had too many who wanted to be leaders and not enough followers, she was sure they would work this out in the end. She just continued to stroke the filly's neck, though. She looked out to see what the other mares were doing for a moment and saw that Yazi was tending to stay by herself, as was Marietta.
