Their newest bird was released straight into the rainforest section of the dome.

Perched nearby was another parrot, who had been recently brought into the enclosure. He was an Amazona Versicolor. "Hello there, stranger! It'll be good to have some company 'round here!"

Shandi

Shandi was startled. She turned around to face the parrot. Shandi cocked her head, and flapped her wings to perch on a closed branch to the other parrot.

Quimic

He roused his feathers, showing he was completely at ease. He was very happy to see another bird, for it was awfully lonely being the only parrot in such a large place! "I'm Quimic. How about you? It's nice to have company around here."

The humans left the Aviary in search of some more birds. They'd be back later to put food out, although there were plenty of fruit trees about that the birds could eat from.

Shandi

She nodded and flapped her wings to perch closer. Shandi was a very cautious bird. Tilting her head a little, she parted her beak.
"I'm Shandi, Humans call me the Goddess of the Amazon though." She replied. She looked at all the trees. "This looks like my home. Where's the river?" She asked.

Quimic

"Ah, a name that seems fitting, I think." Quimic complimented. "The river? Why, it's right over here!" He exclaimed, taking flight. Their part of the Aviary consisted of several acres. The very far end of it had a wall where an artifitial waterfall cascaded down over a rocky, plant-covered cliff. The waterfall led down into a small river system that eventually left off in a pool at the opposite end of the Rainforest section, where the water was continuously suctioned out and looped back into the waterfall, via an underground system.

Quimic glided through the canopy area before alighting on a railing of a walkway that passed by the top of the waterfall area. It was quite an impressive view, and a favorite spot for the visitors to come. The parrot fluffed his feathers and shook his head, "You'll get a good deal of attention from the two-leggers right here. And down there..." Quimic peered down from the railing, where the river lay far below them, "...is your river, Shandi."

Shandi

She nodded. "Thank-you for your kind comment, Quimic," She said. "Your name suits you well." She added. Flapping her emerald wings, Shandi followed Quimic as she flew through the aviary. Shandi flew a bit higher than Quimic, for she loved the look of everything that was far below. She caught site of the river. "How wonderful! The river! It will not take long for me to get used to this...place. I know this is not my home, though," She said. "I have never favored Two-legs." She said, though she did not care.
