Khala
"Layra, Tuini!" The falcon's sharp cry might have echoed through the caverns if not for the whipping winds that diminished her pitched voice. The snowy-hued raptor had landed just outside the gaping maw of the caves where many in the pride were currently seeking shelter, including one of the co-lead's she'd just called for.
Tuini rose from where he'd been lightly slumbering outside of Senka's cavern, and sauntered idly towards the outside entrance where Khala waited. He grimaced at the sight of so much snow and sleet piling up outside, but turned his attention to the bird all the same. "Are the Haunters attempting something? Not a bad idea, with this weather."
Khala shook her head, as much to answer the big cat as it was to dislodge some of the snow that had gathered on her alabaster head. "No, Sir. I spotted a wolf pack passing through the Prairie, not far from here. I believe it's the Aspen Grove wolves, likely searching for the pup that Autumn almost caught a few hours earlier."
Autumn Sun
"I can take care of them." Autumn's voice all but purred from behind the small group gathered at the entrance. The golden-coated female moved in among her pride mates while eying Tuini, her amber eyes eager. "We can't let these packs get too large out here after all. And I'd like to finish what I'd started earlier, before that human interrupted by hunt."
Layra
Layra lay where she was and listened.Let them be for now. Wolves aren't a threat to usShe said.
Tuini & Others
Tuini stretched his forelimbs and gave a yawn. It was followed quickly by a grimace as a large cluster of snowflakes landed in one eye, leading the big male to retreat a few steps back into the shelter of the cavern. "Keep an eye on them and make sure they don't get closer, but Layra's right. The Aspen Grove aren't a threat, and I'm not eager to get out into this forsaken weather." He shook himself, dislodging some sleet and snow that had fallen onto his dark mane moments earlier.
Autumn bowed her head to Layra and Tuini, "Understood." Unlike her leaders, Autumn Sun had enough tiger blood running through her veins to appreciate this chilly weather. Where Tuini recoiled from it, the ligeress had no qualms about stepping out into the harsh winds, "I'll trail at a distance, and ensure they leave the area." Without another word, the golden feline stepped out of the cave and was soon swallowed up in the swirling snow.
