Ryan Sohmers
The squad car arrived in front of the court house in short time. Ryan got out and opened the door for Sarah, then offered to help her out, "We're going to be asking you a few questions first." He informed, leading her towards the building and then to a small room, "I need to hear your full name again, please."
Sarah
Sarah grumbled something under her breath. She stumbled out of the car, walking automatically towards the court horse. "Sarah...McGillan." Sarah told him slowly. As though her tongue had swollen.

Escorting her to a chair, Ryan took a seat on the other side of a small table. "Sarah, do you know why you were brought in here?" The question was obvious enough, but it was always best if he could get them to outright confess to what they did. The last thing he wanted to do was sit in this tiny little room for hours interrogating her for a crime he was pretty sure she committed.
Sarah
"I attempted murderer." Sarah replied hotly, her words sharp and rude. Her fists clenched, she turned her head. She was in a whole lot of shit. Even more. "You'd think I was Sherlock Holmes." Sarah then snarled.

Ryan watched her, shaking his head in a regretful way. What was happening to this town? "And why did you do that? What's your relation to the victim?" Sometimes, it was hard to remain 'professional'. But he had to press through the first few questions.
In any case, he wasn't sure how long Sarah would remain in jail - if she even got any time at all. It all depended on how the mayor dealt with it, or if Sarah were involved with any of the gangs.
Sarah
"My sisters ex-boyfriend." Sarah replied casually. Then the story made her blood run cold, her muscles tensed. Shit...I don't want to remember this....
Ryan Sohmers
"Okay... but why did you try to murder him?" Ryan persisted, leaning forward in his chair as he crossed his arms down against the table. "Was it..." Ryan trailed off, letting various scenarious pop into mind, "...jealousy? Revenge, maybe? Did he do anything to you?" If that latter were true, Ryan would have a hard time pressing her for more questions, though it was neccessary. He always sought justice in what he felt was right. Sometimes, the felt the convicted were right in their actions. Sometimes.
Sarah
Sarah crossed her arms across her chest, lips pursed. That story. It would haunt her until the day she died. "Revenge, you would call it." Sarah bit her lip, before replying coolly, "He raped my freakin' sister a month ago..." Was the cold reply. She didn't want to explain the story, she didn't want to remember it point blank. No one did...

Now he nodded slowly, averting his eyes down for a moment. This was when he felt almost guilty about condemning people to a jail sentence. "You should have come to us about that, and we could have handled it." Liar! Most of these officials are corrupt anyway....
Ryan scribbled a few things down on a document before standing up. "You're going to have to spend the night here, I'm afriad. Your hearing will probably be tomorrow." Ryan moved to grab her arm, and lead her down to a cell.
Sarah
Sarah curled up in the corner, whipping a stray tear with her blood stained sweater sleeve. Sighing, she closed her eyes. Mom won't give a damn, and dads probably off getting himself drunk and sleeping with some other woman tonight. Sarah thought grimly. Sleeping.
