Sasuke & Neji

Sasuke still had yet to make up with his Twin Itachi. If it hadn't been for Itachi throwing him and shasta out when she was pregnant with his kid he might of had kids to raise. Sure he had Renji for a little but the kid ran off hating him. Emily never cared to even say hi when she saw him denying that he was her father. His right eye was covered with an eye patch and he had a cig in his hand. He was standing on the railing of the repaired bridge glaring down.

Neji no longer a teen like Sasuke and no longer needing parental guardianship of ryan but still living with him leaned against the same railing with his back. You really should make up with Itachi its been years and lets face it, having kids anyways was a bad ideaHe had an eye patch on his left eye and a faint scar on his forhead with CS slightly visible. Given the cryptic silvers had nothing to do with it. They both had robbed a gas station about an hour ago. Neji hands were sore do to geting in a fist fight with one of the employees.

Ryan J. Sohmers

A small silver Kia pulled up along side the curb of the road leading to the old wooden bridge. The humming engine went silent, and if one looked hard enough, they might see through the tint of the windows as a man scrubbed wearily at his face before putting a hand to the door and swinging it open. Out stepped officer Sohmers, though he was not on duty today and wore a simple, thick brown jacket and jean pants.

The silver door was slammed close behind him, giving a good indication of the man's current mood. And if that wasn't apparent enough, the stormy look in his dark brown eyes pretty well summed it up. Taking long strides, Ryan began to approach the pair on the bridge. His gaze passed by Sasuke before landing solidly on Neji, and as he drew closer, Ryan took a deep breath to better steady his frayed nerves. "Neji, get in the car." Of course, he knew the young man didn't have to obey his commands any longer, but that didn't stop Ryan from trying his best to parent him.

Sasuke Uchiha

Neji had been way out of line when he spoke. He could tolerate the part where he should make up with his twin but the kid part that was a low blow.Low blow Neji and you know ithe said as he tooka puff from his cig. He heard a car pulling up to the bridge and frowned. He rolled his eyes when Ryan got out of the car. Shit patrol just showed uphe said. you talk to him like he still a childhe said turning to face them now and soon sitting down on the railing.

Neji sighed rubbing his face from where Sasuke had kicked him not hard but still. Sorry it washe mumbled then frowned and rolled his eyes.So now as an adult i can't have friends, we aren't even doing anything wrongHe said calmly. Okay yes they had just robbed a store and Neji had gotten in a fist fight but he could pretend they were innocent.

Ryan J. Sohmers

With is brows knitted together and a line of wrinkles to accentuate his ire, Ryan's expression was not a patient one when he shot it at Sasuke, "He's under my care, and under my roof. And that means he's still under my rules." Ryan's attention returned to Neji, particularly the side of his face where Sasuke had landed an earlier blow. His scowl intensified, "Not doing anything wrong? So I suppose it was two other punks with eyepatches that robbed the store, huh?" He reached a hand forward to grab Neji's chin and turn the young man's head to the side, so that he could better see what kind of mark was on his face from the fight.

Sasuke

Sasuke frowned a little. Neji wouldn't leave Ryan's house because he'd be homeless like he was. Well he could go back to Itachi but Neji felt out of place without him there. a twitch of his lip showed at his words as he lit another cig. Well seeing as The ATHA love carving out peoples eyes in this place its actually quiet likely that there more then just us twoHe said. Okay that was a lie well maybe not he didn't know. He stiffened athe voice behind them and he glared. ah no we are not go to hellHe said.

Neji jaw was tense at his words. His cheek was black and blue already but he had a cut above his good eye from the fight with the shop keeper and his ear also had some dried blood on it. He didn't stop Ryan from grabbing his chin and forcing his face to the side. He didn't feel like a comfrontation that could send them to jail. He too stiffened at the voice but said nothing.

Itachi had been out on a walk when he came across the scene. actually they will be coming home to my place copHe said and he glared right back to his younger brother.Yes you are, At least you are your homeless anyways bratHe said. He for the most part looked like he had no weapons or anything but he did.

Ryan J. Sohmers

As harsh and forward as the man was being, it all came from a good heart, and a true concern for Neji's wellbeing. That worry reflected a little more in his eyes when he noticed the cut above Neji's eye, and the dried blood plastered to his ear. "You, can it." Without even looking back at Sasuke, Ryan cut him off with a curt response, then continued to address his adopted son, "You, in the car. Now."

Ordinarily, Ryan would have called for an on-duty officer and taken the pair downtown for suspected robbery and assault, but since this was his own adopted progeny, and he had faith that he could steer him in the right path eventually, the officer opted for a different approach. "We're going to discuss this at home, and we're going to call that shopkeep. As for your friend here-" Before Ryan could even bring up the infamous throwing star incident several years past, a third voice joined the foray.

Ryan's hand nearly went to the gun holstered beneath his jacket, but checked himself and turned abruptly to see who had interrupted them. The cop straightened his stance and drew his shoulders up, "Move along, this doesn't concern you." The glare he gave Itachi was a stern one, and he planted himself firmly between this new comer and Neji, not about to let him walk off with the younger man.

Itachi

Itachi smirked as all of them seemed so defiant. Take neji, ill get him later cause he'll come crawling back especially since Sasuke will be with me. You can't think you'd break up a best friend duo that easily officerHe said calming to a halt. If dss hadn't goten involved Neji would of still been in my care as it is you took him in. However; Sasuke is my charge even if he is an adult he is still actually in my custoday due to his problem that he can not controlHe said giving his younger brother asmirk.

Sasuke glared at Ryan as he said to shut it. However; he knew Neji would listen at least for now. Which was fine they get to gether again. He glared at Itachi. ,b>I don't give a shit what you think or what the damn state thinks I ain't going no where with you He said his eyes narrowed.

Neji would of moved to car without a word but froze at the door. You can't control Sasuke if your mother paid you to control himHe hissed.

Ryan J. Sohmers

Ryan stood where he was, doing his best to retain what calmness he could in such a tense situation. This was no longer just a group of kids, but three young adults, and ones that had committed violent acts in the past. And, if his suspicions were correct, a little more than an hour had passed since their last bout of trouble-making at a local corner store. So the officer played it tough, but was cautious not to become too animated or trigger any unwanted actions Sasuke or Itachi.

"Best friends or not, what Neji needs is a responsible role model and a solid foundation under his feet that will help him become successful in life. Not some low-bellied gangster who has to steal and hurt others to get by, and worry about the safety one second to the next." Little by little, the man reeled in his anger and put his game face back on. He'd seen no weapons so far, and with Neji not resisting his orders, some of his anxiety was beginning to settle.

"As for Sasuke-" Ryan paused, swallowing faintly as he considered the words and ramifications going through his head. "He has a safe place to stay with Neji and I, if he can follow some simple house rules. But he's an adult, and he can make his own decisions."

Neji

Neji glared at Itachi the door open as he leaned on it. He let Ryan speak. It was all in their blood though, the stealing the fighting. He froze at Ryan's words but said nothing to them.

Itachi smirked as he listened.Its in our blood, just like being a cop is in yoursHe said. He then laughed.rules has been something he's never been able to followHe said calmly. His eyes turn to his younger brother.Come here Sasuke now He demanded his hands twitch.

Sasuke hands were fisted as they spoke and he froze at Ryan's words. Why would he even offer him? His jaw was tense as he then glanced at his older brother. i will never return to your house ever. Don't care whats in our blood don't mean I have to go back to your placehe said and took a warily step closer to Ryan. i can follow rules for the most partHe said. For a little at least.

Ryan J. Sohmers

Ryan had always believed in the good in others, and that most people had the capacity to be good, but sometimes strayed into bad situations or environments. It was the reason he'd taken Neji in, and why he'd abruptly offered his home to Sasuke now, despite their past. That strong faith aside though, there was a small part of Ryan that was immediately regretful of his offer, worrying that the younger man would take advantage of the situation and cause trouble in the home.

'He's still young.' The man reminded himself. 'He just needs time and patience. And an escape from this.' The officer's gaze was on Itachi, not liking that smirk one bit. "It's only in his blood because he's apparently grown up around poor influence. But things can change. They have to, because otherwise the both-" Ryan paused and looked back to Neji to include him, "the three of you will be spending the majority of your time behind bars, or in the ground. And that's no life-style worth living."

Reservations aside, when Sasuke assured him he could mostly follow rules, a ray of hope came to the cop. He didn't openly smile, but his eyes at least softened and he gave the young man a nod. "That's all I'm asking."

Itachi Uchiha

His lip twitched at Sasuke Choice. He focused himself on Ryan however as he listened to him. Trust me you can try to stop them from stealing but eventually they will return to it whether thats a day, month or year they will. Sasuke can't get a job , he be a liability. So you'll be supporting him money wise for the rest of his life. But what happens when you die ? He'll be right back to square one. His only choice is to stealHe said.

Neji was silent. Sasuke glared slightly but knew Itachi was right, he wouldn't be able to keep a job because of his problem..He was very likely to kill someone.

Ryan J. Sohmers

Once the two men had moved towards his car, Ryan took a few steps in that direction too, pulling his keys from his pocket as he did so. "What Sasuke needs is someone that has more faith in him than you do." This was said as he walked to the little kia, his back briefly to Itachi. He stopped and turned back only after reaching the driver side door, "He's not some lost cause, and neither is Neji. But they will be if they continue to hang out with the likes of you, and-" His expression darkened a little, "-maybe that's what you want? Two easily manipulated croonies to work for you, breaking the law and stealing to benefit you? I know how the system works, and I'm here to break it."

Ryan stopped himself there, knowing he'd let his emotions get the better of him. Antagonizing others was not going to improve the situation, and with that in mind, Ryan took a deep breath and exhaled heavily. "How about you worry about yourself, and I will work with them."

Itachi

His hands were clenched. His eyes narrowed. He is my brother and he will come back so won't neji. I am there family and there is nothing you can say or do to change thatHe said he watched as they were all now by the car. Here's the thing officer, your not the first to try to take Sasuke in. Perhaps you know a joni, I don't remember her last name but Sasuke due to his problem murderered her husband. So when he tries to murder you like he did her husband just know that I am the only one who can fully control him when he has an episodeHe said turning to leave.

Sasuke jaw twitched. Don't bring Joni into this Itachi. He hissed. Joni, his first well mother figure in this place. Yes he had done a horrible thing, it was uncontrollable and Joni actually knew that and had tried to talk to him again but he just couldn't face her after it.

Neji only remained out of the car incase Itachi tried something.

Ryan J. Sohmers

Ryan took note of the clenched fists, and knew he had to watch himself. If this Itachi fellow was the brother of Sasuke, he worried that the same streak of aggression could run in him. And Ryan did not want to deal with any more throwing stars, or worse yet, guns. Reminding himself again that he needed to keep the situation calm, Ryan checked his words and spoke carefully, "Maybe if you clean your act up, you can be the family that these two deserve. You can all live a better life, without hurting others, without being the scum in this city. You can be better." The officer wasn't some naive rookie though, and knew that the likelihood of Itachi doing a turn around and becoming a legitimate, upstanding citizen of Atroe City probably wasn't going to happen. But kicking him into the dirt wasn't going to help either, so Ryan offered him that before touching on the next issue.

"The past is past." Ryan held back the surprise at hearing this revelation of murder. He hadn't heard of it before, but he was going to look through the files at the precinct as soon as he got the chance, to learn more of this incident. "Enough. You two, in the car now. We'll grab something to eat on the way home, and we'll take things from there."

Itachi

He laughed. I live for my life and so don't they. Its how we were all brought up and there isn't a decent job I would likeHe said turning to leave now. Oh they would return

Sasuke had taken this option because his only other option would of been being dragged back to itachi's place and well for now this ws the better of the two. He still couldn't fogive itachi as he blamed him for the loss of his kids. He got in the car in silence. Neji did as well.

Ryan J. Sohmers

There were many responses that barraged the officer's mind, but he again bit his tongue and instead chose to say nothing to Itachi's excuses. Only the red tinging his upper cheeks would hint at his emotions now. He watched with a stern stare as the other fellow turned and began to cross the length of the bridge, and the confidence in his earlier words unsettled Ryan more than he liked to admit.

After Neji and Sasuke climbed into the car, Ryan followed suit and pulled the door shut behind him. The engine rumbled to life, and he pulled the seatbelt across his shoulder and waist, "We'll get something to eat on the way home, like I said. Sasuke, you're going to need some clothes and basic necessities. Need me to stop anywhere to pick up any possessions you have?" Brown eyes watched them through the rearview mirror.

Neji & Sasuke

Sasuke watched his older brothers back retreating. He just couldn't accept him still. He glanced at Ryan as he spoke. Would he really want to give away his hideout to ryan? If they ever ran off from him they wouldn't be able to return there. They would need a new one any ways he had a feeling Itachi was heading straight for it before encountering them.There a log cabin about a mile south of hereHe said finally.

Neji knew where it was for obvious reasons.

Ryan, too, watched as Itachi strolled away, moving across the bridge and soon falling out of sight. That nagging feeling of dread hit him again, but Ryan was a man of his word, and despite all of Sasuke's history, he was going to give the young man a chance to come around. He looked back over his shoulder again at the two, "Okay, we'll stop there. Just give me the directions." He shifted the car into drive and began to pull away from the curb, ready to follow Sasuke's lead, not knowing that this was their hideout.

Sasuke

He gave ryan the directions as they went but other then that he was silent as he contemplated their next moves. for a little at least he'd stay with ryan. But there was another reason he tended to not go straight you could say and that was because of his issue.
