Brook Walker & Ladybird

Brook was walking with Will again back to the corral. She had to check on Ladybird for the constant nagging in the corner of her mind that something, just something might be wrong. She knew she couldn't worry like that though, but it was truly difficult. She didn't want to get Ladybird into any more trouble than what the poor mare was already in. She already had a messed up leg, she didn't need other worries.

Soon they reached the stable and Brook peered inside. Luckily there weren't too many people. She preferred it when there weren't many others around. It was just quieter and simpler that way. That and Ladybird could be fussy over things like that. Grinning at the thoughts of her horse, she walked down the aisle and stopped at Ladybird's stall. She looked inside.

The chestnut mare was standing there quietly, looking out the small back window in her stall. Her breath turned into little puffs of steam as she breathed. Brook clicked her tongue, causing the horse to turn her head towards her curiously. Upon seeing it was Brook, Ladybird plodded over with her injured leg and stuck her head over the door. Brook opened the door and stepped inside, kneeling to look at the leg. It still seemed okay and she wasn't favoring it as much as yesterday.

"It appears she's taking to it well now," Brook stated as she stood back up. She grabbed the halter hanging on the outside of the stall door and slid it over the mare's head before clipping the lead to it. She led the mare out to one of the cross ties and secured her there. "I'm just going to lunge her a bit," she stated as she once again checked over the leg and then moved on to the rest of her body. She wanted to make sure she hadn't hurt herself. Ladybird stood there silently and gazed at her surroundings.

Will Vincent

He walked over to the stall Kree was in. He opened it and let him out. Kree ran around the paddock throwing his head. Will walked over to Brook. ''Shes doing good'' he said and smiled looked at her and Ladybird. He watched her closely.

Brook Walker & Ladybird

Brook was finished checking Ladybird over for any stray injuries or marks. She grabbed a lunge line from her locker and then the mare out into a small round pen with metal bars. "I'm just going to exercise her for a bit," she stated as she let the horse start trotting around her in circles. She watched as the mare moved. She wasn't favoring her leg as much which was relieving. She worked her through her walk, trot and canter, studying her movement closely. She also didn't want to overwork her.

Will Vincent

He nodded ''Ill stay to the side in case anything goes wrong'' he said and looked through the metal bars watching them.

Brook Walker & Ladybird

Brook looked at Will and nodded. She continued to let the mare go at her own pace then, still watching. She didn't seem to mind putting much weight on it anymore. You could tell she still favored it but it was nothing like before. Brook gave a smile, glad to see that the horse was showing at least some progress. Brook finally brought the mare to a stop and walked up to her. She rested her palm against her warm neck. "She seems to be doing much better!" she said excitedly. Ladybird simply stood there with flickering ears, indifferent to all the fuss.

Brook looked at Will. "Do you think it would be too much to go out for a ride?" she asked him. She didn't want to push Ladybird too much.

Will Vincent

He shrugged ''Maybe a trot'' he said. He looked at her and smiled. He then looked at Ladybird. She was doing better. He would have to go see his brother Daniel soon if he didnt he would be in big trouble. Though, he wouldnt understand why. Daniel is only 13 of course and Will is 16.

Brook nodded when he mentioned trotting her. She thought that would be a good idea. She grabbed onto Ladybird's halter and began to lead the mare back out towards the stable. "I'll take her out then," she stated. She looked down at the mare's legs as she moved. Wow, she was doing much better and it had only been one day too. She was pleasantly surprised. "If you don't have anything else to do you could join us if you want," she said to him. It wouldn't be a very long ride. She didn't want to put Ladybird through anything too strenuous.

Will Vincent & Kree

Will nodded. He whistled and Kree came trotting towards him. He patted his neck and got on. Bareback. Kree, was used to it. Will trotted him along side Brook as he waited.

Brook Walker & Ladybird

Brook heard Will whistle and caught her off guard with a sort of 'deer in headlights' look. She quickly regained composure as she lead the chestnut into the barn. "So you ride bareback?" she asked as she hauled Ladybird's tack back out. She slid the saddle up easily and secured it before slipping the bridle back on. She had to fight with the mare to open her mouth but with a strong finger she managed to get her to accept it. Huffing and shaking her head, she lifted herself up into the saddle and took the reins. She also didn't want to get the mare moving too much and working up a sweat since it was cold out. She figured it wasn't too comfortable. Finally turning to Will and Kree she drove the mare over to them. "Where should we go?" She figured maybe somewhere flat and shorter grass so she could see the ground better, unless they simply stayed at the corral.
