Pinky's Thunder

What was happening? The humans had stuck a strap tightly around his front side, and normally he wouldn't care, it was just like a girth, right? But it wasn't. There was no saddle or saddle pad, and they had a strap on really loosely around his flanks. It irritated him, causing a few kicks, but it didn't hurt or anthing. Yet. Pinky was lead into a small chute, where the back strap was tighteed so much he cried out in pain and started thrashing around. A human jumped on his back, causing him to hollow it. HUmans cheered and made noise from the bleahers as poor, confused Pinky was given one, hard strike from a whip on his rump. The gatte was opened, and Pinkycame out, bucking hard, trying to get rid of the man that was raking him with sharp spurs. For several seconds thid continnued, until Pinky finally "sunfished"- he reared up, and then bucked, sending the man flying. He continued to buck until a pickup rider came and loosened the flank straps. Pinky galloped around the arena, his mane and tail streaming back into the wind. The same pickup rider chased after him, swing a lasso above his head. Finally, he threw it, and it settled neatly around Pinky's head and tightened. The chestnut horse stopped dead and started coughing until the pickup rider loosened the rope a tad. The announcer blared some information over the loud speakeras a another horse was stuck into the chute and released. Pinky was lead into a small paddock where several other horse were crammed in. The rider (who had gotten off his horse and ground-tied him) led Pinky in and atatched him to one of the halters that was tied up to the fence. Pinky whinnied as the pickup-rider left. He wanted to move, but he couldn't even move his head. It was his first day as a bronc, and the pain and terror had been more than he could stand. Though he couldn't read, a sign above him read, "These broncs will be sold to the person with the highest offer." The small print below it said, "We will accept offers from people who buy for salvage."
