WONDERSTARR

It was cool out on this spring afternoon; the typical day with the glowing sun, the white poofy clouds, and the cool refreshing breeze. It was also the perfect day for a nice long ride. This caused the dappled mare to ponder over where her owner went off to. Life at the corral was awfully boring, she had to admit, so being with her owner was a practical must if she hoped to get through with this place. It was always so quiet...
Though there were a few other equines around, with some 'wandering' humans, Wonderstarr still felt she had no one to talk to. Others just didn't appeal to her here, or else they just didn't say anything anyway. After all, her owner had chosen a pen for her that was away from most of the action, though not too close to the outside of the corral itself. She could always chat with Myth, her owner's canine companion, though that creature was hardly ever around. Probably off running wild, or else with their human... The luck that dog had! But either way, Wonderstarr couldn't deny the fact that she indeed loved her human too much to do any wrong, or at least on purpose. That just wasn't her.

With a deep sigh, the Thoroughbred began pacing around her personal corral. It was just big enough for her, to keep her satisfied. She missed the fields, though, but knew this was all that could be given to her at the moment. Now all she could do was wait for Ashlin, and pace... And pace... And lastly, pace, waiting for that girl to show up.

Doughtry

Doughtry reared up high and proud at the command of her owner. Her large muscles rippled with power under her deep midnight pelt. Her mane whipped in the cool breeze of the morning. Her breath floated through the air, breaking its invisible surface. Her ears were back slightly, her neck arched in the perfect arc and her deep maroon-puprle eyes gleamed with energy. Her iron clad daggers hit the ground with such force, the sand and sawdust went fleeing in all directins, oyu could here the thud thud thud of her powerful weapons as she took a couple steps back trying to keep her balance.

When the whip in front of her was removed she rocked forward and landed gracefully back on the ground. A long chain was connected to her halter and she was let pretty loose. Then the whip was cracked and off she went. She went slowly at first, keeping a steady trot, she made sureto keep her legs good and high and to keep her neck arched perfectly. When the whip cracked again she collected herself and then lurched into a fast lope. It was then that she began her jumping. they were all higher than usual jumps and were much closer at times as well. Yet, she jumped them with great ease. Her head never came out of that spectacular arch the entire time.

By now Doughtry had begun to work up a remarkable sweat and she was gleaming all over.

WONDERSTARR

Wonderstarr was taking long, easy strides around her corral. She had stirred up plenty of dust as it spiraled into the air, whisping away on the breeze. She preferred to do this on a regular basis, or at least you'de figure it if you studdied her enough. She needed to keep herself awake and moving, especially with feeling so free and fresh on such a cool and bright day. It was like magic.

After a few more turns around her corral, her gray pelt was entirely riddled with dust particles, though it wasn't too easy to tell. She was finally slowing down now, a light layer of sweat and lather forming on her coat as she began basking in the dull sunlight. She shivered then, feeling the now chilly air hit her. However, it didn't really bother her. She was quite used to such things.
Wonderstarr stood there quietly now, her seventeen hand frame cooling down. She whisked her tail around then, feeling alive and awake once more. Ah, this felt nice... Then suddenly, the sound of hooves and a cracking whip broke into her peaceful thoughts. This caused her to pick her head up quickly and look in the direction the noises were coming from. Her eyes landed on the nearby horse and human, drawing her interest to them. What were they doing? After a bit of watching, Wonderstarr understood. However, Ashlin had never used a whip around her... The tall mare angled her body toward the corral that the black horse was in.
Wonderstarr was secretly longing for Ashlin to be here. She needed to keep herself occupied further, so she continued to watch the pair nearby. Maybe the other horse would notice her? Wonderstarr had to admit, she could be impatient at times. Right now was one of those times. She could feel her patience wearing thin, so she tossed her head and released a loud neigh in the stranger's direction, regardless of whether they were finished with what they were doing or not.

Doughtry

Doughtry had stopped with the jumps now and was loping in a circle inside of all the jumps. Her body had a silky sheen to it, her muscles were throbbing. The human in the center cracked the whip in front of her now and she reared again, she pinned her ears back and glared menacingly at the human. Her tail whipped at the air and when she landed back on all fours she pawed at the ground.

Doughtry ignored the next round of whip cracks and even tried to snap at it a few times. She reared again and again but then stopped and just stared the human down. The human returned her stare with a smile and cracked the whip. Doughtry did a little crowhop and then began to do her lope again. This time she changed leads again and again, left lead right lead left lead, making her seem as though she were skipping.

At the sound of the neigh she looked up a bit suprised and smiled at the other, her pace did not break however. She took a deep breath and let out her own neigh in reply. "hey there stranger" she said.

The whip cracked again and she changed directions. She began going in an odd zigzag while doin the skipping.
