Katrina/Mika

Katrina walked to the counter with her guide dog at her side. "Let me guess - iced tea and cookies?" The woman on the other side asked. "Give me something with chocolate, Maggie." Katrina said cheerfully, her bright blue eyes gazing straight at the wall. Maggie smiled. "You're in luck. We've got double chocolate chip cookies." She chuckled. "Sure. Sounds good. I'll have one of those. And yes, an iced tea." Katrina replied.

Katrina waited patiently as Maggie put a cookie on a plate and filled a glass with iced tea. She slid the money over the counter. Maggie, used to having a blind girl as a regular customer, took the proper amount of money and handed the rest back to Katrina.

"Thanks." Katrina said, grabbing her order and sitting down at a table. She peacefully had her snack, while Mika sat obediently on the ground.

Natalie * Lily * Spencer

She held a child on her hip, pushing open the door, when suddenly a big brown mass went flying past her, barking and racing around. He slammed into chairs, into people, and finally raced around the back counter where Maggie was working, and continued barking, his body bowed playfully. He had outrun his master, and was now ready to PLAY! As Maggie screamed, he barked and barked some more, bouncing back and forth. Play! PLAY PLAY PLAY PLAY!!!!! He said with each bark. He seemed oblivious, this large lab.

Looking around, Natalie sought out help somewhat frantically. Seeing Mika, she said Will your dog distract him!? She liked dogs. LOVED dogs. But this one was.... Well, he was nuts!

Katrina/Mika

Katrina lifted her head when she heard the other dog. However, she heard the feet of the dog long before she heard the barks. Being blind all her life, she had better hearing than most people. She listened closely to the dog, trying to memorize his voice.

Mika watched as the other dog sailed past. She wasn't accustomed to animals wilder than herself, but she had been trained not to react to it in a way that might cause trouble.

"I...I guess..." Katrina replied to Natalie, reaching down and patting Mika's side. "Go play, girl" She whispered, taking the harness off of her guide dog.

Mika looked up at her master with that 'you've got to be kidding me' expression on her face. Still, this was an order, and she always obeyed orders. She walked toward Spencer and barked to get his attention. "You know you're bothering people, don't you?" She asked casually.

Spencer

He turned at the sound of another, a canine. With a bark of ecstasy, he leapt at Mika, barking some more.

It only took a few moments for a young native american girl to arrive, panting, her hand clutching her side. Dog! DOG! DOG!!!! QUIT IT! Her and Conan had named the lab, but Dog sounded better at the moment. She lunged for Spencer, who leapt back thinking this a new game.
