Jake

Jake walked into the Humane Association. He walked to the desk. ''Im here to get a dog'' He said. As the lady led him back. He looked at the dogs a few interested him as he looked at them. The one he really wanted was Bear the 3 year old male Chow chow. He asked if he could open his kennel door, He did and held his hand out to the Chow chow.

Bear

Bear had no hopes that there would be anyone coming for him. His last home hadn't been a very pleasant one. He had been chained up outside all his young life with no attention except to have food brought to him every once in a while. Then his owners had just up and left him. It was only by luck that someone had found him before he starved to death. So he had little trust in people. When the man opened his cage door and held his hand out, Bear just stared at him without even lifting his head. No growl was heard or anything he wasn't aggressive he just had little interest in humans and didn't want to go back to the same situation. At least here he got fed daily... He had no idea how life would be with this man.

Jake

He reached out to pet him. A smile on his face. He loved animals. especially dogs. With his horses he needed them. He also needed them because he had so much love tht he couldnt keep it all in. He petted the Chow known as Bear. He talked softly to him a little in a hum or such as a lullaby. He loved dogs and wanted some of his own. He was also a loving person. He had brothers and sisters all younger than him. One a year younger. Another Two years younger and the other four years younger then him. He smiled and petted Bear once again behind his ear. He smiled and patted his own leg to see if he would come over to him. If not he would just move slightly over to him and pet and love him.

Bear

Bear had completely given up hope of finding anyone to care about him. He had never known the joys of having a loving family that he was part of. All he had ever known was chains and occasional feedings. Still to this day his fur lacked luster and softness that it should possess from being cared for and he was a little underweight. The man was petting him, though, and that was something he wasn't used to. He had to admit he kind of was enjoying the attention. Though, when the man stopped petting him and patted his leg he only crawled forward a few steps and wagged his tail a few times. His chocolate brown eyes held the least little glimmer of hope.

Jake Vincent

Jake smiled and sat on his knees. He petted Bear and watched him a smiled on his face. He looked up at the worker ''I would like to take him home with me please'' he said and stood up. He then looked down at Bear.

Bear

Bear looked up at the man as he stood up and uttered some strange noises to the other human. He had no idea what was being said, shoot he didn't even know basic commands yet alone anything else of the human language. Soon the other human was speaking back though. "He is all yours, just a few papers to fill out first." He then handed some papers on a clip board to Jake while Bear just watched them silently, still laying where Jake had left him.
