Isabella Wayson

Isabella had settled right in to her new home. She had come here after finding an amazing piece of property within her price range that was already equipped with a three bed room log cabin, a dog kennel, and also a horse stable. The property was well maintained as were the buildings on it, so Bella considered herself lucky to be able to buy such a place. Sure, it had meant leaving everything she knew. But it was a big step up from the small town house that she had rented back home. And now she actually owned the place and would not have to listen to her land lord complain about the dogs and her horses would not have to be boarded across town any more.

Well, now that she was settled in she decided that it was time to open up her home to some more animals that really needed it. Rescuing animals was one of her passions you see, she hated to see them in bad conditions and if she could have it her way she would take them all in. She had been researching any rescues and such around here and had found one that seemed promising, The Atroe City Humane Association. So, she got into her Dodge truck and drove to the building that houses the rescue center.

Once there she entered the building, causing the little bell above the door to ring, she waited to see if someone would come to show her around...

She was at the front desk today since their receptionist called in sick. She looked up as the door opened and she smiled. Hello ma'm, what may I do for you today?She spoke softly.

In the lobby where the girl was Andi dogs roamed. There was two huskies, and a Cane corso Mastiff. The huskies looked up from their playing but nothing more.

The older dog Adelina which was the cane corso barked and was seated in front of the desk.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella stood there for just a second when she spotted the girl sitting behind the desk and heard the words that she spoke. Well, at least they had quick service here. She hated to have to wait all day to get any help. Especially when every minute that she waited could be another minute that a dog had a home. So, she promptly approached the desk, though left some space so that she would not spook the mastiff sitting in front of it.

Yes, I just bought a large property on Stoney Hollow Rd, and I was interested in rescuing a couple of animals...

She hoped that they would have some animals that would suit her well. After all, it was difficult if you got an animal that did not suit your lifestyle. So, she hoped that she would find some animals here that she could give a great home to.

Andriena

She smiled and pulled out a file. Well currently, the animals who are ready for homes, we have quiet a few dogs, some cats, two horses and two highland cattle. What you exactly looking for ?She smille.

Adalina yawned and stretched before moving toward the women.

Isabella Wayson

Hearing the news that they had quite a few animals she smiled, she would hopefully find at least one to rescue today, if not more. After all the more the merrier, right?

Well, I currently have three dogs and two horses... So I would definately be interested in either of those and maybe in a house cat?

It had been years since Bella had a cat, she had not gotten another after her elderly cat had died two years ago. Though, she thought she would be able to open up her home to another one now...

She smiled at her. alright lets start with the cats thenShe smiled and motioned to the door to the right and walked through it herself.

In the cat cages in front there were four cats.

Masty the main coon

This is Masty she is 6 years old and her owner pasted away two months ago that is why she is here.

Then there was Marbles also a maine coon

This is Marbles he is 4 months old and someone found him by himself on the side of the highway.

Next was Tosha a Siamese

This is tosha, she is 8 years old. She was beaten by her former owner but rescued by us due to a complaint by a neighbor

She smiled and then moved onto the last one. Muffin a Tortishell Kitten

Last we have Muffin she is only 5 months old and was found at the same residence as Tosha

She smiled.

Isabella Wayson

As they entered through the door that lead to where the cats were, the same smile broke out over her kissers. She had forgotten how much she loved having cats around... She really missed her poor cat, though as she saw all of these cats she knew that she would be leaving here with at least one if not more, that is if she was approved to do so.

Slowly she approached the cages as to not spook the cats. The first one, Masty was a very pretty cat, she held her hand up to the cage for her to sniff it. Then she did the same to each one following. As she saw the kittens, she was sure that she wanted at least Muffin, but then it was always best to have more than one kitten she knew, so she would probably try to take in Marbles too... Then there was the beautiful Siamese, this cat's story just tugged at her heart. So, she would probably take her too...

I am interested in taking Muffin and Marbles, so that they will have each other as playmates... And also I am interested in Tosha.

She spoke just plainly as she continued to visually examine the cats. Her family had worked with many animals through out her childhood, ofter fostering animals that had been abused and were considered unadoptable at that time. So, she knew what she was getting into.

She smiled and wrote the cats names down. Do you wish to fill the paper work out for them now or wait till you see the other animals?She spoke softly with a smile.

The cane corso was following them like she always did.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella kept that same smile on her features as she heard the other girl's words.

Well, I better wait until I see the others.

She knew that she was such a sucker for all of these animals in need of homes, and she knew that she would probably end up with more then she came in for. After all, that was just how this girl was, her heart was nearly bigger than her check book. Though, she made sure that all of her animals were given only the best all of the time, they were like her family...

She smiled and nodded.Probably a good things. We'll start with the male dogs

She spoke leading her into another room to the left where the male dogs that lived in doors were kept.

Callisto - Neopolitan Mastiff

This is Callisto he's 6 years old so he's an old timer. He was found with an imbedded collar in someones back yard.

Fonsie a great dane

This is Fonsie he's only 2 years. He was actually a Surrender the owner tripped over him and broke her hip so she couldn't keep him

Suro - a husky american Eskimo mix

This is Suro he's 3 years old. He was found in a dumpster

George great dane/dalmation mix

This is George, he was a stray or the owners were just never located

Okie a heeler mix

This is Okie he's only about 12 weeks old. He was found neglected in someones basement

She smiled and was ready to right down the names. Shall we move on to the females? After the females Ill have you sit in one of the play rooms and ill bring each of the animals you are interested in one at a time so you can determine if yo ureally want them afterShe spoke.

Isabella was really glad that this woman would take the time to let her know a little bit about each dog's story. This made her decision a little harder, yes, but at least she would know what she might be dealing with. As she looked over the dogs she decided that three of them might be good for her as well.

I would like to meet George, Suro, and Okie... Are they ok with other dogs? I would also like to bring my own dogs in to meet them after I have gotten a chance to get a feel for their personalities. She knew that with so many male dogs, there could be problems seeing as she did not know if any of them were neutered... So, she would just have to assess how well they did after she had seen them all. She knew that Pyro would probably get along with just about any of them, he was a very well mannered and friendly dog.

She wrote the names down. They should be they have been temperment tested and after they go through the normal pack transitioning and determine who fits where they'll be fine and yes you will have to bring them in. also your dogs should be cat friendly if your gonna take the cats.She spoke now leading her to the female dogs room. She would safe the horses for last after Isa met the dogs and cats personally.

First off there was Agata a Pastore bergamasco

This is Agata she use to be my mothers dog, she is 5 years old so she is old. My mother passed away two years ago and I just don't have the room to keep her

Bella a Cerneco dell'Etna

She was found under someone shed with a dead litter of puppies

Cristina the Maremma Sheep dog

This is Cristina she is 5 years old and came from a puppy mill

Kasta the Rottie pitbull mix

This is Kasta she came from a man who fought pits and rotties but she was used for breeding and to help train the young

Hallie the Heeler Dingo mix

This is Hallie she is about 5 years old. She was being abused by a man and neglected

Kallie - Border collie Mix

This is the last female her name is kallie she is about 2 months old and was found in a sewer couldn't find the owner or mother

Isabella listened to this girl's words in her reply. She was glad that the girl sounded like she was actually interested in the dogs finding good homes where they would fit in. Most places she had been to just wanted the money and if you gave them that then they did not care who took the dogs.

Yes, all of my dogs are fine with other dogs and cats alike. We often visit my mother and father who have two small dogs and three cats, and they do fine. So, we shouldn't have a problem. As for these guys I would really like to meet Bella, Kasta, Hallie, and Kallie

She knew that she was asking to meet a lot of the dogs, but wasn't it better that they have a good home with her than be stuck here waiting for someone else to come along. At least they would have a good home forever with her.

She nodded.alright we shall move on to you meeting the cats and dogs and then ill show you the two horses we have afterShe spoke and lead her to asmall room that had a sofa and some cat and dog toys. She had her wait there and then she went and got Marbles first. She handed her marbles and then stood back to wait.

Marbles yawned and sniffed at her and then tried to get off her. He was affectionate kitten but only when he wanted to be and right now he just wanted to stalk around.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella nodded when she said that she would first get a chance to meet the cats and dogs and then they would go and see the horses. She nodded that was ok with her and then she followed the other girl to the room where she waited for the girl to return with one of her potential new pets.

When the girl returned she saw that it was with the cute little maine coon kitten. She smiled as the kitten was handed to her and she stroked his fur a few times before the kitten tried to get down, Bella allowed him to get down and she watched as he got used to the place. When he seemed to be calmer she attempted to call him back to her. If he did not come, that would be fine. She knew that cats often did not do what they were asked, they definately had a mind of their own.

Andri watched and when the session was over she picked marbles up to return him to his home and she brought the other ones out and followed that process. Now it was on to the dogs. She got George first. She took the leash off once inside the room.

George who was as big as a dane and looked most like one sniffed around. His tail wagging a mile a minute. Then he moved over to the women and sniffed at her and licked at her.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella had decided that she would be taking home all three of the cats, if she was approved to do so. They would all make great members of their family.

Then Adriena brought in one of the dogs once she was done visiting with the cats. The first one to come in was George, the big Great Dane mix. She smiled as he moved over to her with his tail wagging and tried to lick her. She placed her hand out to him to sniff before she petted him.

You are a pretty boy, ain't you?

Her tones were happy yet not overly excited as she handed him a treat that were in a jar on the table beside the sofa.

George

He grabbed the treat and ate it in one bite. Being a big dog and five years old meant he probably only had a few more years left but who knew. He barked and his tail wagged as he stuffed his nose by her side and shoved her and then went down into a play bow.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella laughed slightly as the dog munched down the treat and then nudged her with his huge head. Then he went in to a play bow and she picked up a ball that was at her feet, maybe he liked to play fetch? She threw it for him and waited to see his reaction.

George/Suro

George ran after the bound into big strides got it and brought it back. Ten minutes later he was leashed and brought out. She came back with Suro next.

The husky Eskimo mixed stared at the women but didn't approach. His tail curled under him and he moved to a corner cowaring. It took a lot to coax him out.

Isabella Wayson

The girl enjoyed the game of fetch that she and the big Great Dane mix played that went on for about ten minutes before the other girl came in and took him back to the pen.

Next came Suro, from the beginning she could tell that he would be much harder to get through to than George had been. So, she lowered herself to sit on the floor, more on the dog's level so that she would not seem so threatening as she held a treat out to him.

here boy, I won't hurt you

Her tones were soothing and calm as she spoke to the canine, hoping that he would come to her and see that she meant him no harm.

Suro

Suro watched her with wide eyes. He was not sure about her but when she got to his level with a treat he inched his way to her and extended his muzzle to get the treat.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella sat there quietly as the dog inched his way over. When he took the treat she knew that this was one of the first figns of trust and she smiled slightly, though she did not move, just kept her hand extended for him to sniff. If he would sniffit then she would slowly move to pet his head if he would allow her to.

Suro

Suro sniffed her hand but then she moved to pet his head and he growled and snapped at it. One rule when dealing with a dog like him if you go to pet them pet their chest not their head. After fifteen minutes Andri came and escorted him back and brought Okie out.

The young puppy sniffed around seeming rather oblvious to isa as he grabbed toys and tossed them around.

Isabella Wayson

As she had went to stroke the canine's head she knew that she had over stepped her limits when he had snapped at her, though she quickly recovered and decided that she would let him alone for a few minutes to just get used to her presence, making sure not to make any quick movements and going over in her head how to gain this dog's trust. After about ten minutes she called him back over with another treat that he took from her and then she slowly, cautiously moved her hand to try to stroke his chest. He allowed her to do so and seemed to be beginning to get used to her by the time Adri came in and took him away.

Next came the adorable little boy puppy. She smiled as he began playing with the toys and ignoring her. As he tossed one of them it landed close to her foot and she picked it up before gently throwing it for the puppy, trying to make friends by joining in his game.

Okie

The puppy froze and watched the toy and then ran after it. He began to tear it and then went to lie down on her lap and fall asleep. Ten minutes later and Andri came and took her and now brought the first female in.. Bella

Bella sniffed around first before moving toward Isabella. She barked and pushed her nose against the girls head and then the rest of her body smelling her and then attempting to grab her shirt and pull at it like it was a tug a war toy.

Isabella Wayson

The girl laughed a bit as the puppy tore after the toy that she had thrown for him. He was a very playful boy to say the least. Then a warm smile stayed on her kissers as he finished playing and came over and fell asleep right on her lap. She stroked the puppy as he slept and then when Adri came in to get him she knew for sure he would be going home with her. She was not cutting down her list much, all of them that she had seen so far she had decided that she wanted to take home with her.

When the next dog came in she saw the sleek mahogany form of the dog named Bella. The dog sniffed around and then came towards her, barking and nudging her playfully. When she pulled on her clothes she corrected her firmly though not harshly and picked up a tug a war rope instead and offered it to the dog.

Bella

Bella snorted and kept pulling on her shirt till she saw the tug a war rope and she grabbed it and pulled at it. This lasted till And came and got her. Next was Kasta the pit rot mix.

If you do get approved and we start the dog introduction, She may or may not be good, she'll be held inside a round pen thing i bring in here just in case She just wanted to inform her of that.

Kasta was good with humans but some dogs she was not okay with. Kasta shook her whole pelt before moving over to isa and sniffing her.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella played a game of tug a war with the dog named Bella just about the whole time that they were together. This dog would get along great with Pyro, no doubt about that. They both wore her arms out with that rope toy.

After Bella was leashed and the next dog brought out, Adri spoke if how if she was approved, Kasta may or may not do well with her own dogs at first and she nodded she understood from her history that this could be an issue.

Though as the dog approached her and began to sniff her, she saw that she was friendly with people. Though, if she could not get along with Kona, Asha, and Pyro then she might not be able to come home with them. Though, she hoped that they would get along well. She slowly held her hand out to the dog to try to pet her without making her upset, she did not want another episode like Suro, but this girl did not seem to be shy or anything so hopefully she would not be startled.

Hey girl... Hopefully you can get along with my other doggies so that you can come home with us...

Kasta/Hallie

Kasta sniffed her hand and allowed her to pet her and she sat down and closed her eyes. She mostly just sat there enjoying the stroking. Ten mins later and kasta was taken out and hallie the heeler dingo mix brought in.

Hallie yawned and padded over to isa and sniffed her before bounding a way and grabbing a ball and bringing it back.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella was glad that so far she seemed to be doing very well with all of the dogs. She had one rough spot with Suro, but it had been mended up and he had been beginning to let her stroke him more when he had been taken back to the pen. And Kasta here was just a sweetheart. And Isa was perfectly happy to sit there and pet her the whole time they were in the room together. Then she was taken away and Hallie was brought in.

The dog quickly sniffed her and then made her way to the ball that she had been playing with with George. The dog had picked up the ball and brought it over to her, obviously wanting to play fetch. So, Isa took the ball and gave it a toss, waiting for the dog to bring it back.

Hallie/Kallie

Hallie ran after the ball growling as she bit at it and then brought it back. She kept this up till Adri came and brought her away. Kallie was the last female to be brought in and like Suro she was shy but she was just a puppy.

Kallie sniffed around and kept her distance from Isa.

Isabella Wayson

Happiness shone on this girl's features as she played fetch with this dog. Yes, if she was approved for these dogs she would have quite a variety of personalities in her house. Though, that was how she liked it.

Once Adri got Hallie she brought in the little Border Collie puppy. She was shy, that much was obvious. Though hopefully she would overcome that with time.

Come here baby

She spoke softly and calmly once more as she held her hand out as a peaceful greeting to the puppy.

Kallie

Kallie stopped and stared she growled a puppy growl. If she ever came around she would be a one person dog and would probably growl at anyone else who came over. She watched her keeping her distance.

Andri watched. also after this, do you want to do the dog introduction first or look at the two horses first?She spoke.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella couldn't help but smile as the puppy growled her little puppy growl. She knew that this should be discouraged but she would have to work on training after she gained the puppy's trust. This dog reminded her a lot of her little Kona when she had rescued her, that dog had growled at everyone... Now she was pretty friendly and got along with most people once she got to know them.

She attempted to hold a treat out to the puppy to get her to come to her. Hopefully this would work, if not then she would try one of the stuffed toys.

I had better look at the horses first so I know whether I need to bring my trailer back with me or not.

She said so with a slight laugh as she turned her attention back to the puppy, trying to coax her foreward.

She nodded and sighed as she watched the puppy. Its gonna take days for her to warm up to youShe said.It took me about five days total with a little bit of prgress in betweenshe spoke. She waited about 20 mins and then went and picked up the reluctant kallie and brought her back. She then came back.alright, the paint mares name is Marrietta and the gypsy vanner colt is BroncoShe spoke leading her out back. The highland cow were in with the horses as well.

She was grazzing when she heard the feet and her head rose up and she snorted and bucked and took off.

The colt head bolted up as Mary started bucking and he snorted and took off as well.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella looked over the horses, though they both bolted away from her. She thought that maybe the mare would be a good fit for a friend for Dazzle. After all, the mare needed a friend and she couldn't exactly put her and Reno in the same enclosure unless she wanted foals. So, she needed another mare to keep her own mare company. Though, that was only if she could get this mare to calm down enough to approach her and such.

So what is the mare's story?

Both horses still needed more fat you could still see the hip bones and some of the ribs.

the mare came from a man who thought he knew how to take care of horses. But he was not well informed and wasn't willing to cooperate with usShe spoke first watching her.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella watched the mare and she could easily tell that the mare would need plenty of TLC to gain back the weight she needed to gain. As she heard the story she nodded, still watching the horses. She clicked her tongue to see if they would come towards the fence.

Have you been able to handle them much?

She was just curious, she liked to know what she was getting her self in to.

Andri

She watched the horses as well. Yes, but with days of just sitting here. Their both halter trained but if your gonna let them out in a pasture i suggest leaving the halters on cause it will take too long to get them on atleast till they settle down. The colt is really head strong and pushyShe sighed.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella listened to everything that the girl said and took it all in. She was very interested in the mare. After all, like I said before Dazzle needed a friend.

I am interested in the mare... I have another at home who was used to being around all the other mares and geldings at the stable she was boarded at, she isn't quite herself now...

She spoke about Dazzle truthfully, she knew that horses were herd animals and did not like to be alone.

She smiled and nodded. Alright then, come back inside you can fill out the paper work and ill look it over and then you can go get your dogs and your trailer if i aapproveshe spoke and led her in and now handed her three papers. one that was based for cats, the other dogs and the last horses. When she was finished she looked them all over .alright then your approved. so go ahead and get your stuff and come back. Ill have the first dog waitingShe spoke softly.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella nodded as the other woman spoke once more, stating that they would go fill out the paper work now and then if she was approved then she should return with her dogs and trailer. Well, she filled out the papers and was approved so she left and returned with her trailer and three dogs on leashes as she entered the building again.

Andri

alright please leave two of your dogs in that room and then follow me with one of themShe spoke. She enetered a room.

Achille Andri brother held Suro on a leash. Suro watched and he growled slightly not sure about this.

Isabella Wayson

Isabella nodded and placed her two German Shepherds in the room while she brought her small mixed breed dog with her. Kona was the most cautious of the three.

As they approached Suro the small mixed breed approached cautiously with her tail tucked between her legs, though it did wag slightly.

Suro

Suro watched the little dog carefully and soon his muscles relaxed and hi tail wagged as he approached her and lowered his head to sniff at her.

Isabella Wayson

Kona, seeing that the larger dog was not going to hurt him began to wag her tail and it became untucked. She pranced her front paws excitedly as she attempted to lick the other dog's muzzle.

Suro

He snorted and sniffed her.

Andri smiled.alright thats a good enough reaction. So lets move onto your next dog bring in the gsd thats calmestShe spoke softly.

Seeing that the two got along pretty well she smiled then she nodded as the other girl asked her to get her other calmest dog. So, she returned with Asha who stood at Bella's side and wagged her tail slightly to the other dog. Hello, I'm Asha...
