Eeso

Eeso had been caged here outside in one of the secluded area's away from publics eyes. He sure had a great accomadation, a dog house and table to lay on food and water but this wasn't his habitat. He was 36" tall and weighed over 200lbs. He was heavy set and obviously made for pure power. Speed was not his thing at all. He was mostly black with a chain pattern that went around his neck down his front legs, sides and down his back legs like Shackles. He got this from his father of course. He growled as he paced up and down his nice sized cage. His tail over his back.

Shasta & Ellis

"There he is." The voice came from Shasta as she walked toward Eeso's pen. Her pregnancy barely showed.
"That's Nikolai?" Asked Ellis, following the woman closely. He wasn't a big fan of big, angry canines, but he was getting paid for this. Shasta needed somebody strong to help out, and everybody else was busy. Besides, Ellis seemed to have a way with animals.
"Yeah, that's what we call him. He's a nasty brute, but he's got a lot of potential." Shasta slowly approached the cage.
"Not potential as a pet though, I assume." There was a mix of sarcasm and anxiety in Ellis' voice.
Shasta glanced back a the younger man quickly before turning her eyes back to Eeso. "Just hold the stick and stay back for now, Ellis." She stood silently beside the wolf's cage, not making eye contact, but holding herself in a dominant position. Both Shasta and Ellis waited for any reaction.

Eeso(Nikolai)

Eeso paced on not knowing what these two leggers wanted from him. Okay yah sure he bred with a few of the other canines they had here but he was just a male and being presented with females that were in season well you know the drill there. Why did they still want him? His ears went back when he heard two sets of feet coming his way. He stopped his pacing now and stared out the cage. He watched them as they stopped and at first he just stared at Shasta then he lunged at the gate. Sure she wasn't outright challenging him but he wasn't exactly a submissive wolf either.. He lifted himself up onto his hind legs and started biting at the fence. He was much taller when standing on his hind legs and he could stand longer then most.

Shasta & Ellis

Shasta remained calm yet confident. That couldn't be said of Ellis, though, who was ducking down a bit and tightly gripping the stick Shasta had ordered him to hold.
"Down." Shasta's voice was assertive, but not angry or aggressive. She turned to face Eeso, simply watching him and keeping the same dominant posture. She had to let the canine know she wasn't afraid of him, but also that she meant no harm. In her pockets she had various kinds of savory dog treats, from biscuits to jerky treats. Of course, she had to make Eeso behave before he got a reward. She didn't pull a treat out just yet; she had to watch the wild animal's response to her command first.
Ellis watched nervously. He was a mechanic, not a dog trainer. He had no idea what Shasta wanted him to do, so he just stood back and watched.

Eeso

Eeso was confused what did she want him to do? she growled at her baring his teeth as he chewed on the fence. However not long after he landed back on his four legs. his tail stiff above his back still. His ears flat back. His eyes never leaving Shasta. What was with these two leggers? They usually left his kind alone didn't they? He was so confused and he was sick of being cooped up. He wanted to run again far and wide and hunt. Sure being fed was nice but he missed hunting..

Shasta; Ellis; Sentinel

Ellis took a few steps forward when he felt a bit safer. He seemed a bit more submissive than Shasta, with the stick held down in a completely unthreatening manner, only to be used in a life or death situation.
With Eeso backing down, Shasta pulled a large piece of beef jerky out of her pocket. "Down." She said again, a bit calmer this time since it seemed that Eeso's aggression level had gone down. He wouldn't get the treat until he was completely calm.
Sentinel was here to help with that. The daughter of Demeter and Eeso loped toward the cage, her slender 110-pound frame showing off her great ability for speed and agility. "They are not so bad." The coyote/wolf hybrid said to her father. "They give us treats when we act friendly. I've got these two humans trained. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get a biscuit. I can just roll over and make a pathetic face and they'll feed me and spoil me." There was a grin on her face now. "It's so fun. These pigeons are suckers for us."

Eeso

Eeso stood there growling his ears back. He reckonized Sentinel by her smell. He listened to her words and snorted.Please, we shouldn't have to act like anything for food. He growled now glaring at the humans. His tail twitched though. He watched the food in her hand. He may believe they shouldn't have t do anything for food but he was after all a wolf and just about any food he do anything for. His growled stopped but his ears remained back and his tail only occasionally flicked. The only thing he didn't like was the girls Dominance stance that was his major problem.

Shasta & Others

As Eeso backed down, Shasta took a step forward. If the wolf wanted to attack her, he could probably reach her now. She held the beef jerky out toward the cage, but only gave it to him when he calmed down considerably.

"We have to hunt for food in the wild, don't we?" Sentinel replied sharply. "In the wild, strength and speed and prowess gets us food. Here, just behaving how they want us to gets us food. It's much easier this way. And besides, they take the tamer and more well-trained of us on hunting trips." The hybrid loped over to where Ellis was standing. The young man looked down at Sentinel and patted her on the head. If only all wolves and their hybrids could be as tame as her, he thought.

Eeso

Eeso daughters words were changing everything about what he thought. He wasn't sure though about this. He shook his head side to side.But they have no right to think they are our bosses, our alphaHe spoke. He sniffed out at the jerky though.

SENTiNEL

Sentinel shook her head. She couldn't blame her father; he had been wild his whole life, so it would definitely take some time to get used to the domestic lifestyle - or at least semi-domestic.
"But Father, that's what they are. They are our alphas. They're the leaders of the pack, no less of a leader than the canine alphas in the wild. I know that it takes some time, but just give them a chance. They won't let you down." The young female walked toward her father's cage. "In no time, if you behave, you'll be out of that cage and roaming around the territory. Trust me on this."

"Here Nikolai, buddy." Shasta tossed the jerky treat into Eeso's cage, but kept her hands out of striking range. "Good boy." He would be rewarded for his good behavior.

Sentinel smiled sweetly. "That's not so bad, is it?" Her words were soft and dreamlike; she was easily the diplomat among the canines in the breeding program.

Eeso

His tail remained over his back. He wouldn't submit to the humans but he could coexist with them. He watched the jerky and sniffed at it and then ate it.I am my own alpha, I'll do what they say only if I want to. But I'll coexist with them and protect them but they can't expect me to submit I won't do that its degrading to meHE spoke calmly. His fur no longer ruffled. He could coexist and be a friend to them but nothing more then that.

SENTiNEL

Sentinel tilted her fluffy white head a bit. "Well, you're making progress." Sentinel grinned. "You'll come around. I know you will, father." She reached the cage and looked around. "Nice place you've got here. See? They do care about you." She looked up at Shasta, and, putting her paw up for the "shake" trick, she was given a treat. She was showing Eeso how easy it was to impress - and take advantage of - the humans.

Eeso

He just watched his daughter and this human. He could just let the humans think they were his alpha's. All that mattered would be him knowing they weren't. He watched his daughter stick out her paw and get rewarded for it. She wasn't asked to do it she did it of her own accord. His tail flicked and he moved back to the gate now and sniffed at the human unsure of this. I will accept this life for nowHe spoke to her. Till he decided he had enough of it.

SENTiNEL

When Eeso seemed calm and a bit more submissive, Shasta and Ellis moved back toward the main building. Sentinel seemed to keep Eeso calm, so they let her stay.
Sentinel nodded and smiled. "That's the spirit." When the wind began to blow, she could smell the scent of the dogs in the kennels. Breeding would probably begin again soon, seeing as most of the females were in heat. Along with Sentinel. After a pause, the young hybrid continued hesitantly. "Dad... Eeso..." She took a step closer. "I know it's strange, but..." There was another pause. "...I think I like you."

Eeso

He just watched the humans before looking back to his daughter. He could smell all the females in heat which didn't help with his aggression. Even his daughter was in heat. He heard her wordsa nd stared at her not sure what to make of it. I think I like you two SentHe spoke silently so only she could hear.
