Taipa*Bane
The pearlescent vixen came into the lands at a slow trot, tiara tilted to sift the wind for scent of game. Taipa inhaled deeply, sorting the scents according to their importance and likelihood of being food or danger.
A dark gray bod trod upon the loam, too, silver pools scanning the valley from falls to cliffs, nose twitching. He was here for a different reason: stalking a certain snowy lady.
Taipa's poor nose told her nothing, but her sensitive ears perked at the brushing sound of paws through grass; someone was here. Closing her eyes, she listened to his breathing, his heart, feeling for that rope of red that always meant HIM. Finding it, she snarled, teeth bared.
He had never been the tracker she was, but she'd walked right into his planned ambush. Cursing herself, she called out to him. Alright then, spawn of demons. If it's a fight you're looking for come out and fight like a brute. Even you used to have more decency than for sneak attacks. The voice was cold and vicious, dripping with hatred. When they were pups, she would have never spoken to him this way, but now...
The gray buck stood tall, smirking. He'd forgotten what a good tracker his runt sister was, and how good her hearing. Letting his habitual grin spread across his face, he stepped into the open, his voice a hiss that was somehow slimy in texture. Well well well. What have we here? A fallen angel looking for her halo. Let little Demon Spawn help you.
And he flashed forward to meet her, grunting as they collided. While she headed for his face, he used his greater height to rear above her, catching hold of her left ear and tearing it from her skull, winning a cry of pain from the lass. But as he came down she met her mark, gouging his bad eye on his blind side.
Blood leaked down both wolves as they hopped back to circle, and Bane called out, almost laughing. You blinded me once, angel face. Goring that again will not make it blinder. His white sibling remained silent, eyes on his shoulders for the small movement that would alert her to his next attack.
