Sheath

Sheath travelled down the canyon, keeping an eye out for humans or anything that may be a threat. Eventually he came to a waterfall, Sheath's mouth fell open in awe, the scene before him was unbelievably beautiful. Sheath padded up to the pool that the cascading water landed in and lapped up a few tongue fulls of icy water. Sheath's muscles throbbed and ached because of his long journey from where he used to live. So he began searching for a place to rest, he looked at the waterfall again and saw a medium-sized cavern at the bottom of the falls. Sheath slightly smiled and began to talk to himself

|.That looks like a good place to rest.|

Sheath entered the cavern, and sniffed the air, no sign of humans, or wolves. Sheath plopped down on his side and started to groom himself. While he did this his eyes searched the landscape for any type of danger, and his ears listened for any sounds of danger. For a big cat he worried about humans, and other predators alot, but he had a good reason to be wary.

Snowstorm

Snowstorm, or Storm as her family called her was padding across a log that made a bridge over a river. He steps were sure and confident for she had crossed here many times, one time though as a kit she ahd fell in and her mother had to fish her out. She had emerged shivering and cold, her mother was only wet on her front paws but she was cross for Snowstorm to try and cross the log in the first place. Now Storm was grown, though still young, but she knew all she needed to know and was a skilled huntress already. Where she was going was her favorite place in the Ridges and it was right by the very pretty waterfall. Actaully, it was like in the falls, she had made a nice den in a cavern right below the falls. All you had to do was either cross the log and go through the water, which she normally did or go across a strip of land and remain dry as Sheath had done. Inside it was cozy and not many cats new about it, save her mother, father and the rest of her family. But if you got in the exact right place you could see it. The female snowleopard was returning from hunting, her belly full of a fawn. She yawned and slipped under the water and then stepped into her cavern to find a male snowleopard laying in the middle of the floor. Shaking her wet fur she hisses and the hair on the back of her neck raised. She glared at the male and adavanced, tail flicking behind her. "What the hell are you doing in here? This is like, my den."

She studied him to find him actually pretty handsome. She almost giggled but kept it in and kept a mad face on. Her flexed her claws and if she was a human probably would be tapping her foot. There was no need to be worried about humans, because they rarely, if ever came to Breve Ridges. They stupid things were probably too scared of all the cats that lived here to come. Her own ears swiveled to hear a crow cawing and to catch any of his words. She tilted her head to the side and gave him an impaitent glare. Then she began to think about all the snowleopards she knew. He was the first she met that was outsdie of her family, infact she thought he might be the only other snowleopard outside of her family. Her voice came out less hostile this time as she spoke again. "And uh, my names Snowstorm."
