Twilight Reign

I keep asking, what's your lie?
It is disturbing,
This isn't mine
Why?

The small, soft-fured hybrid paced along the edge of one of the highest ridges and stopped, pointing his slender, ebony mug into the wind and slanting his eyes against it. Something was wrong, again.

Days keep passing
A lot of time
me?
I don't feel right
Please let me sleep tonight

Something deep within him was struggling. It was a feeling he could not cope with or control. The older he grew, the more time flew, the greater the feeling became. It came more often. A feeling as intense as physical pain and just as numbingly overwhelming. He struggled with it but had so far won out.

Want to give it up
But I can't escape
I keep asking
Again please try
It is haunting
This takes my mind
Why?

Twilight stepped closer to the edge and gazed down at the steep drop and what lay below. For a moment, the sight of his crumpled body flashed through his mind's eye so that he clenched his eyes shut and physically trembled. His heart beat faster and his body felt weak with anxiety. With deep, horrible depression.

Days keep passing
Line after line
I don't feel right
Please don't let me die tonight... die tonight...

His muscles went taunt and he drew dangerously close to the edge and opened his striking yellow eyes again. He sucked in a deep breath and felt a painful shock of dread surge down his spine and to the tips of his toes. His vision grew constricted for a moment as panic whelled up in him.

Please help me
Please free me
Please help me, from my painful situation...

Then he backed away from the edge, fear taking control over his tortured, haunted mind. He felt ashamed and embarrassed. He didn't want to be found for the second time, looming so near to his own death. He didn't want that kind of attention... it was shameful to him. He wanted happiness, but it had slipped through his grasp. When ever he had it, it didn't last long. Now the smallest thing got to him, throwing his world upside down and making him struggle with such dismal feelings that he thought nothing could be worse than staying alive. But as much as the thought of death crossed his mind, the more he thought of his brother and Moon Spirit, and Elena. He wasn't sure if they would really care, but what if they did? The though of his own death hurting someone else was the only thing holding him back now. Again, he moved towards the ledge, but fear crippled him. How afraid of hieghts he was!

Aaka*Moon Spirit

Elena was the first to see Twighlight. "Twighlight!" she shouted as she came near. She had a limp but other wise was fine. She glanced back at the two white females that were following her.

Aaka was the first to come. She watched Twighlight her yellow eyes filled with knowing. She had done this more than once. Moon Spirit had caught her last time.

Moon Spirit came after Aaka her shoulder was open and bleeding but she payed no never mind. "Twighlight. I never see you anymore....Where have you been?" she asked smiling at him warmly. She thought that she should introduce him to Aminita. They both seemed so quiet...

He turned sharply towards them, jumping slightly with surprise. "I-I..." he looked from face to face with wide eyes as his brain fumbled, trying to come up with something, "...looking at the.. view." He blinked and turned his downcast gaze over the ledge, searching the bushes and brush below, hoping they'd take his weakly-formed lie. Not wanting to be questioned himself, he quickly formed some thoughts of his own.

"Just on my own, I guess. Are you alright?" he through out at them, sounding as casually concerned as he could. His bright, frightened eyes were downcasted in shame, but he was sure they would think of it as being timid; which he was anyway.
