*Food*

There is a faint scent of blood... cow's blood, it seems. The scent leads to a small chunk of cow meat laying beside a log...

Midnight Sky

A wolf hybrid known as Midnight smelled the blood. She followed the scent to a piece of meat near a log. There was something familliar about this situation. Midnight inched towards the meat, not knowing it was a trap. She quickly grabbed the meat and pulled away from it.

*Trap*

Somehow, Midnight managed to miss the two traps that had been laid out as she went for the meat. But as she picked it up and pulled back, a hind paw hit one trap. With incredible speed and force, the metal jaws sprung close.

Midnight Sky

Midnight yelped in pain. She looked back at the hind paw caught in the trap. She howled out for anybody that was near.

Tri-Tundra

A pale grey fae raced to the howl as fast as she could. She rolled her eyes at the sign of another trap. She came forward carefully. "I am here to help. We must try to get the bolt out of the ground. The lady at woodland farm might be able to take the trap off."

Midnight Sky

"Thank you so much!" Midnight Sky said gratefully. She tried to bend over and get it out of the ground, but no use.

Tri-Tundra

She began inching carefully over to the Trap, sniffing out as many others as she could. 'Picking her way through the dirt is not smart' She thought. So, she leaped on nearby rocks over to the Bolt. She then slowly smelled around and climbed down, checking for patted dirt. When she got to the bolt, she dug out around it, then yanked and shook her head vigoriously. She waited for the outcome of her violent actions. She pulled again and again with all her might. She took a last effort and yanked and grabbed hold and shook it and snarled while she did all this.

*Trap*

After such an effort, the bolt comes up. The hunter who had set it didn't take enough time to secure it well. But the trap is still rather heavy, and it will be painful to drag along all the way to the Woodland Farm. Be cautious not to get the chain wedged between rocks or other obsticals.

Midnight Sky

"Thank you so much!" Midnight said gratefully to the other wolf. "My name is Midnight Sky."

Tri-Tundra

"It is good to make your aquaintance. I am Tri-Tundra." She smiled, and then looked at the trap. "We will have a hard time getting down the ridge. I know an easier way, but it might not help you too much." She grabbed hold of the chain, and pulled the heavy chain up so she could walk with her paw held up. She then barked. "I will carry the chain, you just take your time and ease your way down. You can lean on me if you want." She then slowly inched down the slope.

Midnight Sky

Midnight looked a little uneasy about going down the ridges. "Nice to meet you Tri-Tundra." Midnight took a deep breath and did the best she could to walk down.

Tri-Tundra

She made her way down, brushing against the other wolf so she could lean to keep her balance. Once she was close to the bottom, she barked "We must head to the house of the lady now, this way, take your time.If you need a break tell me" She then turned and slowly began to walk again.

Midnight Sky

Midnight began to hop on three legs towards the house. It was easier that getting down the ridges. "I wouldn't have made it if Tri-Tundra hadn't seen me." she thought.

Tri-Tundra

She sighed as she inched towards the house, making sure Midnight was right beside her. She was very pleased with herself. She took a better grip on the chain, and continued until she figured she was about 3/4 of the way there. "You can rest for a bit, and then we will continue." She then sighed and released the chain once she thought Midnight had stopped and laid down. She fell asleep for about 2 hours, and then awoke. "Are you well rested and ready to continue?" She asked.

Midnight Sky

"Yeah, Im fine. Let's go!" Midnight stood up and began to hop again.
