Greyfell & Others

How dare Tumult deceive them like that. How dare he invite their worst enemy into the pack with open arms. Greyfell would have gladly stayed in the pack if Tumult hadn't made them captives of Hydras.

All he could do was start his own herd. He knew Stacey had left, and he knew many others had followed the both of them. They were the loyal. They would be his family if they chose to unite with him.

Keres stepped out of the shadows. "I have ears and eyes within the Temple, Defcon, and I heard that Hydras is still alive." The little hybrid seemed stunned. "But tell me - did Tumult really announce her as co-leader?"

"I'm afraid so, Keres." The zebra said, looking down at the little canine. "And I am no longer Defcon. I am now Greyfell."

Keres nodded gravely. "Well, I've killed her once, and killing her again will be no problem." She spoke quietly the whole time, so nobody would get suspicious. "I see you have some followers, Greyfell. You're thinking of starting your own army, aren't you?"

Greyfell grinned. "Of course. You in?" He asked.

Keres grinned back. "Why wouldn't I be?" Her eyes widened when she saw Luke. Her father. She didn't want to look suspicious, though, so she simply nodded slightly.

Senka & Others

Senka had left and decided on a change of name was needed. She knew her deceased mother wouldn't of approved of tumults decision with Hydras so here Senka was searching out the other ones that she knew left. She walked up without a fear.an army Def... I mean GreyfellShe spoke. The tigress dipped her head to both.I will gladly join you, Tumult has gone against his family by bringing in that filthShe spoke. I have also changed my name to Senka, I know my mother Samara would of left as well if she were to be still with usSh spoke softly. The next three behind her where three that were close to Senka, that was Kagura daughter of Rasheetah, Greda Daughter of Mikia and Joey. They were followed by a small little army as well.

Greyfell & Others

Greyfell glanced at Senka, dipping his head to the tigress as well. "He has given the Shadow Haunters a bad name. He has doomed them all." The zebra stallion stated. "You are more than welcome to join, Senka, as well as you, Keres." He paused, thinking for a moment. "I am in need of a Second in Command to aid me in leading, and a Captain to watch over the soldiers. Senka, do you wish to be Second in Command? And Keres, are you up to being Captain?"

Keres knew how to lead an army of soldiers. She led the Rebels until her 'disappearance.' "I accept, Greyfell."

Greyfell nodded to Keres. "We will be known as The Night Watch. Together, we will unite the Valley in peace rather than hate. We will not stand for Tumult's treachery."

Luna Moth stepped up beside her father, along with her son, Corvus. She still couldn't believe that Tumult betrayed them like that.

Senka & Others

Senta nodded in agreement to those words. I would gladly fill the position as Second in Command Greyfell She spoke and then her tail flicked.

Cassanova soon showed up. He tried to convince his mother to come but she did not wish to leave Prisoner and he understood. He was almost full height now. His ostrils flared and he dipped his head.

HThe rest stood there listening and watching.

Kraai

Going near the Ruins was something that Kraai didn't dare do on his own - the falcons were quicker than them, and though he was agile on the wing, it was far too risky to dive into enemy territory solo. So it had not been him, but the high-sailing Ikenal who'd soared over the mountainous home of the Shadow Haunters as the group was making a split.

The eagle hadn't dared circle around to get a better view of what was going on, or fly low enough to even begin to hear what was being said - all he knew was that a large portion of the Haunters were moving south along the mountains, and the rest was up to the smaller Kraai to find out. It didn't take long for Kraai to guide himself south along the Croal Mountains and spot the large mass of animals heading for what he understood was the Sombra's home. Curious, Kraai alighted on the gnarled branch of a young spruce tree, a few good meters from where Greyfell and Seta were beginning to talk.

Greyfell

The zebra nodded to Stacey. "Great. Our pack is already very large." He said proudly.

Keres could smell an intruder. Unlike her former self, though, she didn't turn on Kraai and chomp his head off. She simply looked up at the black bird and spoke to him, "We greet you warmly, stranger. You are in the territory of The Night Watch. I am Captain Keres. May I ask what brings you here?" Wow. It was easy being nice. Strange.

Kraai

Feathers flattened at first, startled when Keres caught his scent and spoke directly to him. The alarm was withheld from his beady little eyes, but his body had gone momentarily stiff before he realized that she hadn't instantly called him out as an enemy - in fact, she didn't seem to recognize him.

Inwardly, the raven smiled. Unless you were another crow, it was sometimes hard to tell one individual apart from another, and it seemed to be true here. Playing along with the friendly Night Watch member, Kraai tried for as much information as he dared get, starting with a friendly bob of his head, "I thank you for your kind greeting, Captian Keres. I'm Iaark, of the Oak Enclave." Babbling off the name of the flock he'd been initially raised in, the raven flashed a look over the others, "The Night Watch? I must be confused... I thought this was the land of the Sombra Cazadores? The hunting group?"

Senka

Senka nodded.Indneed it isHe spoke and then looked to the bird as well and listened.They have combined with us to form a larger and stronger groupShe spoke.I am Second in Command Senka

Kraai

Astonishment fluttered through his mind at the news, yet still he held it in check, and played the part of the fool. "Ahh, joining together. That's a smart thing to do, in this day and age." Kraai chattered, nodding again as he turned his head this way and that to get a better view of the other animals and put on the act that he was merely a curiously little raven. He had one question answered - these Haunters were forming a new pack. But what had yet to be answered was whether they were still in cahoots with the main branch of Haunters, or some new split that was opposed to them. And why they split, in the first place. Very carefully, Kraai went on, "You seem to be a very strong pack! Quite impressive! Surely, you've got alliances with other packs...?"

Senka

Senka listened to the bird and then stood up.Why so many questions?He spoke to the bird nnow not answerng that last one.

Kraai

He'd said one too many things. Trying not to blow his cover entirely, the raven retracted his words and tried to appease the rightfully wary Senka, "Pardon me, Miss." A deep bow of his sleek head showed respect for the Night Watch member, "My parents always asked me the same thing! 'Iaark', why so many questions?' They'd ask... ah, but I digress!" Kraai chuckled lightly, apparently drifting off into a little reverie of his own before replying to Senka, "You know us ravens - curious creatures we are."

Greyfell

Greyfell nodded when Senka spoke. "We left the Shadow Haunters when our 'leader' announced that our former greatest enemy would be aiding him. But Hydras is no longer our enemy. As far as I'm concerned, she is our ally. Tumult is our enemy. He betrayed us, so the only right thing to do is for us to leave him." The zebra stated.

Keres got an idea then. A wonderful idea. An idea that may just destroy the Haunters. After all, who were their allies now? They were weak. The entire Valley was against them. Keres would march right up to Lyckos and tell him about Tumult's little 'friend.' "Greyfell, I have something I would like to do now... If I don't come back...well, we'll get to that." With that, she walked off first to Manahcob Downs, and would later go to the Alleys.

"Keres!" Greyfell shouted. "I know what you're thinking, Keres!" He moved to follow the Night Watch Captain, though she growled at him. "Don't follow me." The little hybrid said. "This is my job."

Senka

Senka listened and then watched. She listened and sighed. Greyfell we should probably look for allies and i'm sure there are quiet a few we'd be able to gain. As we know their are many out there opposed to the haunters so it shouldn't be too hard getting someShe spoke her tail flicking.

Kraai

Now his eyes really lit up, struck by the news of the mighty Haunters breaking up. The very first notion that hit his mind was a point of weakness - and then.... Hydras? Tumult and Quilikahm had done such a grand job of keeping the Queen concealed that not even the falcons had spotted her in the dense cluster of stones and tress that made up the Ruins. The raven's head seemed to swim, and without further words to the group, he sprung from the bough and took off as fast as his ebony wings could carry him.
