Dakota/Austin

Dakota stormed back to the territory, tail twitching angrily. "Find allies. We're going to invade the enemy's territory." She ordered. Austin sighed. "Dakota, just think about this for a moment. Adulthi is just one cat. Not all of them have left. Shouldn't we just let her go?" He pleaded. Dakota spun around and whacked him in the face with her paw. "I gave you an order!" She snapped. Austin nodded. "Alright. I'll find your allies." He mumbled, walking away.

Cassie/Dakota

Cassie padded up the slope and stopped a few feet from Dakota. "What did I miss?" She asked calmly. Dakota snarled at the Snow Leopard. "It's about time. Where were you?" She replied impatiently. "I...uh...The humans tried to recapture me. It's hard to hide here. Too green." Cassie explained. Dakota simply shook her head. "We're planning on an invasion. I've sent Austin out to request alliance." Then there was a pause. Dakota knew what Cassie was thinking. Why, and who, are you invading? The cougar smiled mischievously. "One of our members betrayed me and joined a stupid wolf's pack. We're going to invade and show them that we still rule the Valley." She replied. Cassie sat down and shook her head. "Alright." She simply replied.

Xutain, Vintosa, Trillium, Mirepaw, & Elfina

The two feral sows approached their leader, tusked muzzled head down.

Behind them, the three growing kittens bounded after. "What's going on?" Trillium piped up, as he pounced onto Vintosa's back.

Vintosa endured the little claws without so much as a flinch, "Easy, little one. Dakota will answer that for us." The sow responded, then looked expectantly to the cougar.

Mirepaw and Elfina moved forward as well, gazing up at the much bigger feline.

Dakota/Kiki/Cassie

Dakota looked to the pigs and the kittens sorrowfully. "Adulthi has left." She said blankly, lifting herself to her feet. "...And we have a new enemy." With these words she narrowed her eyes. This was probably the first time her new friends had seen her this way. "We're going to attack. The kittens must stay here. Xutain and Vintosa can come, if they feel that they can protect themselves against this enemy, but since they are healers I wouldn't suggest it."

Kiki approached Dakota, twitching her tail. She was accustomed to her alpha's odd behavior. "I'll stay with the kittens." She said calmly, knowing that she would only get herself killed.

Cassie looked at the others, smiling. "I'm Cassie. An old friend of Dakota's." She stated.

Toby/Maya/Eleanor/Sammy/Dakota

"Dakota? Where are you?" Sammy called out as the four wolves entered the territory. "Shut up. You know how Dakota hates to be disturbed. And you're pretty disturbing." Toby growled quietly. Sammy raised his hackles. "You want to fight right here, Blackie?" He shot back. Toby bared his fangs and raised his hackles. "Oh, now you're going to get it." The black wolf was about to lunge until Eleanor intervened. "Hey! Let's just focus on why we're here, guys. We've probably missed five hunts already!" She exclaimed. Maya the Mexican Gray Wolf was the one to notice that Dakota was upset. "Dakota? Are you alright?" She called out from a distance.

Dakota looked at the wolves and frowned. "You're just in time. We're going to invade our enemy's territory." She called back. "In fact, I have a job for you four. I need all of you to go that way." She then said, pointing off in the distance with her nose. "To the Shadow Hedge Territory. You're two pairs of wolves looking for a home. Got it? Find out whatever you can about those mutts."

Toby sighed and shook his head, but smiled. "I guess so." He chuckled, bounding off. The other three canines shrugged and followed him.

Xutain, Vintosa, Trillium, Mirepaw, Elfina, & Ronen

"We can guard the younger members and prepare to heal the wounded on their return." Vintosa responded quickly. She herself was not the best fighter. Xutain was better at battle, but knew she would provide better use of her skills with healing.

"Can't we go fight?" Trillium asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked pleadingly to Dakota.

Mirepaw looked up at his brother, perched on top of the sow, "You're too small, duh!"

"Shut up! I'll be big someday!" Trillium said with a arrogant sniff.

From the shadows, a snow leopared drew towards the gathering. He watched with disdain as the group of wolves came and went. His coat was a dirty pale grey, covered heavily with large, bold black rosettes. His eyes were deep gray, flecked along the sides with a bit of golden yellow.

Elfina's ears flicked to the side as she heard the big cat moving through the brush. "Hey, did anyone else hear that...?"

Dakota

Dakota looked down at Trillium. "Some day you will be old enough to fight. For now, you have the important task of guarding the territory. We wouldn't want anyone to steal our home, now would we?" She replied kindly. That was when she smelled Ronen. She lifted her head high and opened her mouth. Then she stood up and walked further into the brush. It just so happens that she was in heat at the time, and males were always welcome. She cautiously prowled as close as she could get and spoke to him. "Greetings, stranger. I am Dakota, alpha of the Sombra Cazadores. What is your name and what is your business here?"

Xutain, Vintosa, Trillium, Mirepaw, Elfina, & Ronen

A sense of pride filled the young cat as he listened to his alphess speak. Protecting their territory! Now that was an important task, and he was more than thrilled to do his best. "No one will get passed me, Dakota!" Trillium replied, puffing out his little chest.

Ronen remained still and quiet as Dakota caught onto him and headed his way. His head raised slightly, but not over her own, "Ronen is my name, and I am a loner." He was quiet again as he looked over the cougar, his sensative nose picking up on that fact that she was in heat. "Just checking out the area." Came his next reply. He wasn't one for a lot of words. The silent type. Ronen's eyes shifted towards the sows and little kittens in the distance, then fell back on Dakota. Ronen wouldn't say it outright, but this cougar sure struck his fancy.

Dakota

Dakota smiled and stepped closer, purring. "Well, Ronen, would you like to join my pride?" She then asked, speaking in that same soft voice. "We focus on hunting." Dakota found that she liked the snow leopard as well, and it was obvious.

Ronen

An eye was raised ever so slightly, "Join you?" The sows made him edgy, and he certainly didn't like seeing those wolves... but how could he deny this purring cougaress? "Sure." Came his answer, with a nonchalant little shrug, as if it were no big deal. His gaze traveled to the others in the distance, and he took a step back, turning a bit to the side, "We ought to get to know each other better first." Ronen suggestion, purring faintly.

Dakota

Dakota smiled at his answer. "Good choice." She whispered, rubbing up against him. She was the romantic one in the pack, and was always welcoming to a new male. "Get to know each other? Yes, I guess that's a good idea."

Ronen

Ronen returned the rub, though perhaps not quite as affectionate as Dakota's was. He didn't make any reply, but his purring was evident enough that he was happy with Dakota's company.
